Chaos Gloves for everybody!

since my previous post is deleted because the reason i give is deemed "unacceptable" i will give you a better one. and the answer is still a NOT SIGNED.
but I am will to give you an unless for the sake of money sink.
ONTOP of Reputation points ectos is a must. This is only fair since to get zaishen keys which is a title some of you consider to be a PvE title and yet we still need to farm it in PvP area, so to be fair, PvP character can get chaos Glove ONLY IF they also need to buy or farm for ectos.
so not signed until then.

To me pvp in gw is like ufos, hear weird ppl that spend hours in front of their comps talking about it, but never saw the point. But why should a net care if pvp player cant get all the stuff that ppl have to spend time farming for. Forcing pvp players to go do pve which isnt rly interesting anymore because of the overpowered build, is just plain stupid, noone in their right mind would do pve now unless to get titles for gw 2

I don't see why PvP characters shouldn't be allowed some new PvE items.

75 ectos is not much. Sell 75 Z-keys from your PvP experience and and do EOTH (takes 2 days at most) and you will have the required materials for the exchange.
So many QQ PvPers here.
Emotes in PvE won't happen, so .... screw that too.

There was a great idea made of pure awesome, posted in this thread: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10297285
It also automatically fixes this issue with GW:EN armor pieces not available for PvP chars - it's about letting people use PvE characters for PvP as if they were PvP characters - the GW2 way!
So the only way to get Chaos Gloves is still crafting them for 75 ectos but you can then play the character just like you did with a PvP only one, thereby removing the need for having 2 separate characters of the same profession on 1 account.

To even get to the good items you have to play well in GvG. Here's a little something to remember "The armors and weapons are character based. If you delete the character, the armor and weapons will be gone", after reading that I see unlocking any PvP armor pointless. The cose to get Obsidian armor is 200 per piece, you most likely would have to be amazing in GvG and doing it all the time with a expert guild. Anyone walking around with Obsidian on their PvP character should be really feel like they're accomplished.

/signed for those who would actually be able to get it deserve it. It takes far more skill to play GvG enough to get 1000's of RP than grind UW for a few hours. Evident by the fact Anet already has added RP armors, there's almost nothing that is mutually exclusive to PvE than titles and those few items.

People would much rather spend it on ZKeys for items, title, and money. Two, you're essentially telling me it'll be exclusive to GvG players because of insane RP costs. So why would it matter if it's given to ANY PvPer? Why not just give them as rewards for placing in Top X in tournies? Because that's all who'll get them. And if you observe matches more, pretty much everyone's running around with a variety of 15k armor, FoW, Chaos Gloves, and tormented equipment. So why even bother adding it to a flawed system where even if not as flawed as it is, would only "benefit" (using that term loosely) the high-end PvPers?

i think all the people that argue that chaos gloves should not be unlocked for pvp are just those pvers that spend hours on end farming. yeah if i sell my keys ill make enough money to buy my equipment over again. but that means i need to create a pve then walk it through the quests, buy skills, and stuff that takes time. rather then pvp if you do well in at or predictions you can have what armor you want. if you suck on the other hand. it takes time for you to unlock all the exotic items and fancy armor.
Ec]-[oMaN
I'm still waiting for the GWEN armors/weapons to be added, let alone any of this ultra hard to get stuff. Pretty sure Anet doesn't give a rats ass, it's been months since they said they would be adding them to the tournament npc.
BirdMan33
any word by an offiicial if this is discussed or considered as an option?

why would anyone want chaos gloves anyway? they're a terrible skin. they make your toon look like they have a horrible hand disease. "hi. i was such a bad player that the monsters ate my hands off and now all i have are these ghost things where my hands used to be." no ty.
any pvper with terrible taste should be allowed to wear them.

I don't sign because there are So Many things that ANet needs to be focusing on. Like, last months monthly Disaster. Any word on that? Teams loading in with between 0 and 2 people? Good teams not even making it to the playoffs while Luck entirely decided it's champion? No, I think that the last thing anet needs to worry about is how pretty the pvp community looks.
If you want pve equiptment, PvE.
If you want Zaishen Keys, PvP.
It's not hard. There is exclusivity to each side, and it balances out. Not to mention there is no need for anyone to waste rps on skins when they can sell Z-Key gold for Real money.

Give them the freaking gloves, the PvP crowd is so small anyway it makes no difference to the game or the ecto market if the get them for free even.
Or better, make them pay 75 Z-Key's for the gloves.

I don't see how this harms poor wittle PvE players. The smart ones know that PvP > PvE in every way imaginable. So, definitely, share the love.

Sure. If ANet also gives PvE players a /rank emote, linked to KoaBD title track.
Also don't link it to tournament points but just put a crafter in a PvP outpost. THe required materials can be gathered with a PvE char or bought.

if you ignore evey pve players comment on /rank on KoabD this thread makes sense.
we pvp players should be able to get more things from R/P's, especially GW:EN stuff.

I agree, PVP players should be able to get PVE-only items without any PVE What so ever. Makes sense dun it?

If it was available to PvP it wouldn't be PvE-only.
As for your own argument, why should PvP'ers get PvE gear from PvP'ing?! Infact, they should remove that!

The thing I don't understand with all of these "who should have what" threads is "Why does anyone care what the other people have access to?"
Many of you play in two different communities and rarely meet: How does giving a PvPer who only PvP's some Elite armor hurt the PvE community?
Look inside and ask yourselves why do you care if a PvPer can follow a seperate progression and get PvE items?
There is no game mechanical advantage to anyone to have any special gear. All reasons to have Elite items fall under two categories: One, you like how it looks, or two, you like from having something that you earned that someone else can't get easily.
Lets face it: it's all about boasting and bragging.
You're so vain. I bet you think this song is about you.

If ANet are going to go and allow PvP'ers access to PvE items through reward points then they should go the whole mile and allow everyitem in PvE to be bought in PvP using aforementioned RPs.
Not doing so is just silly.
