Shortened skill descriptions
Mr. G
Well GWdat said it would happen and it has, you can now choose your skill descriptions to be short and sweet
Make the game seem a little less....magical imho though

Dont actually care. Picked concise, but that is just me.
Aba

Horus

Picked traditional. Pointless update.

Hooray!
It comes with a toggle option from the start!

The new update brought the ability to choose between shortened and concise descriptions and the traditional length ones.
I'd like to see which skill description everyone will now use. I myself, am staying with traditional. I like being technical with everything and traditional enables me to explore everything about the skill.
P.S. The good thing, though, is that you can toggle it!
There's also much debate on whether this is really necessary... I think Hero AI updates would have been better than this, but then again, and job like this could've safely been given to new interns at Anet or something like that need to have busy work to do, haha. Discuss!

Was that needed? I never saw anything relating to that in Sardelac!
Well, Traditional wins for me. I don't want to have potentially important pieces of information left out of my skill descriptions. Out of ALL the things to go and "update"....

Tyla
Traditional.
I like more detail.
I like more detail.
Nikki Moonlight
Traditional here too. Too used to the old descriptions, it'd be odd changing for me.

Next up: Concise Mission Objectives!
Objective: Kill evil dude.

...I haven't seen anyone ever suggest this anywhere, but more options is always good. Debatable however if this was the most "urgent" update they could come up with though.
Reflect
shortened, no need of reading no needed parts of skills :}
Shanaeri Rynale
It won't affect Ursan players, as they don't need to read the descriptions. Just change them to '1','2'. '3' etc.
I can't see the point really. They must have spent hours editing skill texts, when they could have been fixing things that needed it.

Concise. The necessary information is displayed, unnecessary words are removed. Much easier to remember skills descriptions like this, you've got to agree!
If I'm reading the skill description it's because:
1) I never heard of the skill, or
2) Don't remember all the details of the skill, in which case keeping it nice and clear is more likely to make me remember the skill next time, or
3) I've been playing for 10 hours and I am too tired and or drunk to make sense of the long sentences. (no, kidding, I don't drink)
So, for me, concise works best because I can focus on fighting the monsters or people, instead of fighting the redundant skill wording

Koudelka
Definately traditional.
Btw, when people say "they can't do (insert thing they want changed), they're busy on gw2", then quote this and Cynn's dress when you say "they aren't, really". Why is such a stupid choice important at all!? Seems like a total waste of time oO?

Jumping Is Uselss
Traditional, its more accurate in its description of the skills.
Nadasee
Staying with Traditional. Simple as that!

lol - time for this, but I still go nose to nose with a critter in FoW and it says "obstructed" - bridges in particular. Priorities a bit messed up
oh yeah, traditional for now - been playing with it for so long anyways.

did we really need this update? Hey devs if you actually read this, please replace the nubs you got playing with the game program and fix all the screw ups they have made with stupid updates. there r stairs all thru gw especially in gwen that you run thru instead of climbing and alot more bugs.
