Let's assume it's legit and that Ebaying isn't an option... (I wouldn't, though, anyway. Sounds like too much of a hassle, and $750 isn't really that much for knowing you've participated in gold-selling.)
First: With the Monument changes coming, make sure my combined Monument has all the armour types in it. With that much money, I'd probably also go back to buying duplicate armours I like (but probably only one set of Obsidian for my Paragon - it's really the best of a bad lot. Possibly for my Mesmer and Warrior, but there are other sets I prefer for them).
Finish Life of the Party, collects as many minipets as possible, possibly get the armour upgrades for EOTN heroes in case I don't get around to doing it properly before GW2. Stop once I get to around 2mill (since that much I can store fairly conveniently) and let my guildies know I've got it if they ever need large chunks of money.

If I had 5 million gold, I would first buy any armor sets I can throughout all my characters so that when the HoM update comes, I have every single one in there. Then, I'll sell the fugly armor sets. Then, buy mini Lich, Mad King Thorn, Black Beast of Arrgh, and Rabbit. Then, finish as many buying titles that I can (Sweet Tooth, Party, Drunkard, Zaishen, Wisom) Then with whatever I have left, if anything, I'll give the rest away to friends and guildies until I just have 50k.
That would be beneficial to everyone.

By buying ectos from players you generate extra demand for them, other players that want to buy ectos would have to compete with you! With enough cash you could just keep buying out even all the ectos players try to sell but that will leave the buyers the only one option - to buy from trader. The total numbe of ectos bought from trader will increase and trader price will be back at where it started.
No matter how much would you waste money on this operation, the prices will balance out.
