You may not select as your Character Name the name of another person, or a name which violates any third party's trademark right, copyright, or other proprietary right, or which may mislead other players to believe you to be an employee of NC Interactive or its affiliated companies, or which NC Interactive deems at its sole discretion to be vulgar or otherwise offensive. NC Interactive reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to (1) delete or alter any Character Name or (2) terminate any license granted herein, for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, any suspected or actual infringement of any trademark or trade name right, copyright, or other proprietary right." Now if you notice the bold section it states that you cannot name your character anything that NC Interactive deems to be vulgar or offensive. They seem to believe that Cleavage is inappropriate. Their standard modus operandi is to temp ban anyone with a name deemed as such and to require you to rename the offending character after the temp ban is completed. Does that answer your question? Suck it up. Think of a name that won't be offensive in any way and when your ban is lifted rename your character to something less inane. |
Once again you are missing the fact that ANet does not find it offensive. "Sole discretion" implies they, alone are finding names offensive, yet, THEY do not think it is inapropriate...it is the person who typed /report and brought it to their attention who thought this, acted on it and brought it to ANet's attention as something that person saw as offensive. ANet, then, sumarily banned the name (most likely with no real consideration as to wether or not the general population would find it vulgar).
Hiding behind the rules, even when you bold them, does not excuse you from your civic duty to question authority when you beleive authority if being abused or given to the wrong people...in this case, the wrong people are typing /"report"
