That said, regardless of how people pronounce in-game names they very regularly make errors when writing them as well. According to my observations Elonian names are particularly difficult in this respect, to an extent that it may require some guesswork to find out the actual name behind a garbled rendition. I must assume that this is related to the poor correlation between written and spoken English. In my native language there is a direct relation between a letter and a phoneme and I tend to do less mistakes than native English speakers.jiggles
