Will you be purchasing Guild Wars 2?
Iuris
With me, Anet has achieved a status that only Blizzard once held: any game made is assumed to be good unless proven otherwise. I'm buying GW2 unless they really mess it up in the process, which I'm 99% sure they won't do.
I just wonder if I'll have the time to play it...

im gonna try it. atleast if BETa will be good

Hasn't there been threads on this matter?
Anyhow-I didn't vote because your poll lacks options. It is too early to say If I will buy GW 2. The beta is not even released and we haven't gotton any new info.
If I were to decide though I would probably say no I don't think I'm going still be playing PC games in the next year or two.

Unless Anet radically reverses there direction in the time until GW2 comes out, not likely.

Even if GW2 turns out to be awesome at the beginning how I'm supposed to be sure that it won't turn out the same as GW1?
King Kong Monkey
Im not sure, BETA will have to convice me, ill also check PC Gameplay for (p)reviews.
However i am also very interested in another game..The Lord of the Rings: Conquest..Some sort of Star Wars: Battlefront game but with the LotR universe..it wil depend on the quality of both games which one i choose.

Maybe...
Didn't vote.
I'm going to wait and check the beta, preview and review and reading forums before deciding to buy or not.

Depends on how GW2 is.
Deciding a purchase on something when you know very little about it is not how I do things (nor, how intelligent buyers do things)

only when the pvp section is gud
sixofone
Gonna wait.
I am going to get Fallout 3, tho! Man oh man...
GW2 - depends on what they end up doing with it. Mesmers? Then, maybe. Unique character classes? Even more maybe! Customizable (looks/appearance)? Better be!

Maybe, if it is just another grindfest like now then the answer is no. Also depends on what new features Anet put in GW2.

Would you not buy GW2 if it was awesome at the beginning? No one forces you to buy the additional chapters/expansions. Enjoy the product for what it is, not what it might become or you'll never buy another online game for fear of it.
Snow Bunny
Yes.
If only because no one else can have the name Snow Bunny.
Plus Tab and I need to seriously abuse the inevitably broken skills released.
Then, I'll quit.

Yes, I will buy it.

@Murmel and Jumping Is Uselss, When I made a thread talking about if the game had changed into a grind, many people said it hadn't changed and that the you really don't need to grind anything. That's for another topic though and I rather not drag this into something else.

Yes, I'll definitely buy it.
I have faith in ArenaNet.

Bryant Again
If it's anything like GW1's current direction, most likely not.
Nessar
I will buy it after I read the reviews and such...
Plus I have 4000+ hours invested...I'm not going to let that time go to waste
Also...
I still have faith in Anet. I think they learned from their mistakes....

yeah il do the same ill get recommendations of freind but if my guild are not going to start gw2 im not cos they are the main reason im still playin this
romeus petrus
If it is anything like GWEN then a big fat NO.
Shadey
The way GW has gone now,My answer is No. Because GW2 is mosty likely gonna start out like this.
Current direstion of GW stopped me playing so think Ill invest my money elsewhere.

I'm about 50/50 right now, but voted "yes" because I most likely will buy at least one account, just based on how much time I've spent with GW and the fact that I still play it (although nowhere near as often as I used to play). On the other hand, I highly doubt that I'll buy multiple accounts like I have with the original GW.
cosyfiep
nope wont get it....dont like what they are changing from gw1 (no need to 'fly' or swim and the motion will probably make me physically ILL to watch...no need to get sick from watching a VIDEO GAME).
still have lots to do in gw see no reason to give my money to a company that doesnt ........welll I will just keep my money as a protest and see what happens.

im gonna make everyone one i know buy it and play it xD
im gonna become a walking gw2 advert : P

I will for sure-hopefully on opening day.
However if they continue with the developement schedule, release will be right around the time for my PhD defense...so I might not get a chance to play much during the opening monthes.
Although I wish there was more news-mainly I want to hear about the class system. I love playing RPGs for the various classes and I'm curious as to how they'll be treated in GW2 (hoping for a classless system where your character is defined more in line with their attributes and skills...kinda like the Shadowrun RPG-but that prolly be a pain for the programmers ).

Chushingura
Will I buy GW2? No.
Rocky Raccoon
I voted yes. I think the pole is quite revealing. If as has been stated in other posts that The Guru community represents the Guild Wars community as a whole, then ANET should be really happy with the results of this pole.
Zesbeer
right now i am at a no mainly because of how anet has been dealing with gw1 ie the lack there of. if they improve on how they are dealing with gw1 then yes.
Game N Die
If it turns out that the current plan of making it free to play ends up being true at launch, then no.
super strokey
maybe, depends when it comes out. If im playing a different MMO or something then i wont be though. Its taking too long if it takes another year and 1/2

I will buy it for sure. Actually i'm gonna upgrade my PC to it's specs. It's saving time for now
Stockholm
I was NOT going to, but the recent changes (PvP vs PvE skill separation) tells me that A-Net finely have started to understand that you can not force people to do something they don't want too. This makes me intressted in GW2 again.
Phaern Majes
I have 3500'ish + hours in and I won't be buying it at least not until I've had a chance to take a look at it.
Not buying the game doesn't mean the hours you've spent on GW1 are wasted. And really ultimately and time spent on games is going to be a "waste" as there is no tangible thing you can take from it. But saying not buying GW2 is a waste of all the time spent on GW1 is ridiculous. Thats like saying not buying Halo 3 means my time spent on Halo 1 and 2 are a complete waste, screw the hours of enjoyment I gained from it.

I will Pre-Order the CEx2
Why? I have yet to see any reason not to.

Crom The Pale
I will because I have a good idea of what I will be getting for my money.
A game that I can play as much or as little of and not have any more expenses, not have any handicap for taking a break from it and not be punished because I might choose to play the game in a way that differs from how others play it.
Anet did so many things right with GuildWars that I can't believe they would not do those same things correct in GW2 plus add in some new idea and fix a few things that limited GW.
