never scammed in GW, but long time ago when i was younger and more aggressive, i use to play a game where money actually MENT something. And items was not about looking good but beeing good. The game was Lineage, not lineage 2, the nr1.
Anyway, When they launched dog collars I sold HIGH LEVEL doberman dogs for shitloads of money, and then it was like a lvl 3 beagle or something. They ofcourse changed this quick so you could see in the window what kind of dog and level it was.
And many more of those stories, but in GW never, wouldnt even consider doing it actually.

strange thread. "admit it... it's time"???? Is it? Time I mean? Who says?
ah well..
I've never scammed on purpose. I migth have offered lower prices than something was actually worth, and on occasion gotten a deal from it too, but that's just good bartering imo.
I've also offered higher prices more than once, because certain items suddenly dropped in price, and I wasn't aware (ecto...), so that kinda evens it out trade-wise.
Never scammed anyone with runs/missions etc. Have been scammed lots of times with runs, so I stopped running years ago. Only for friends now.

Nope i have never scammed :-)
Unfortunatly i have fallen into the trap once or twice -_-
I have made mistakes, like buying something cheaper off someone thinking it was worth what i asked, but then later finding out the price went up.
I was selling black dye and the price went down halfway through selling them, so i got tons of pms telling me stop being a power trader which i thought was amusing. Then some guy offered me 6k for my black dye because they where 7k at LA trader, i proceeded to look at the LA trader and it was 8k lol so i told him and he called me a liar. LOL
Some people ay ^^

I scammed my newb housemate for a joke on him.
He went to work one day and left his door open and his character logged in standing in Kamadan. I ignored and thought 'maybe he has the day off and has just gone to a shop or something'.
4 hours later I couldnt resist. I went to his outpost and opened trade with him...
He had nothing left in his inventory including a nice bottle of black dye that I found there. Its evil yes, but it was a prank against someone I knew and a lesson to log out before going to work.
Oh, his reaction was funny, but I gave him back his black dye and nothing else which was worthless stuff anyway.

Way back when prophecies came out, I would attempt to buy black dyes in pre searing for way cheap. I don't think it counts as scamming.
Nanood
I have sold Green weapons for much more than what they are really worth (35-55 gold) lol.. So I must be a scammer. Come and be scammed nublets....
AngelWJedi
is it scamming when you buy a mini at a lower price? alliance dude was selling some minis and one i bought was a djinn. got it for 50k and it was unded. and then again i said it was all i could afford to pay for it but he accept it. so i dunno if you would consider that a scam.
DarkGanni
Buying something from someone for cheap without telling him the real price isn't scam, but more like using the brain. Putting 1k instead of 100k is scam.
For my part I never scammed anyone. Immature players do that.

I probably have, don't hugely care though.

Don't think it is scamming, but anytime someone randomly opens a trade window and puts up a bunch of junk I always put up 1gold and hit accept.
I have actually got alot of people that have accepted that 1 gold coin.

Never scammed, but I have gotten "good deals" back when unded yeti/ naga was worth about 100k+80e bought both for 100k+50e each. Person selling was happy to sell it for that much.

Yup Many times
Dyed a fds and said it was a Ids. Worked
Making people paid me before a run. Worked
The " go outside , drop your weapon so i can take a picture". Worked
Yeah i'm a big scammer, so what? At least i admit it.

You might as well close this thread because it's like asking RL people if they committed murder, or other harsh crime.
Now as for your question, not really. Didn't even thought about it. I've only been on the receiving end. Thank the gods they weren't anything major. Just a few easy runs for me and quests. If it was anything like account stealing, I'd be screwed. Both front, back, and side ways. >_<

I have... Not in GW tho.. Was way back when I played runescape (about 5 years ago i guess)
Me and a friend scammed a few people for some items (think we managed to do it 3 times) Fun thing is that 2 of the times we didnt really get much, just a bit of junk.
Havnt done it since tho, grown out of the behavour.
Been on the reciving end a few times aswell tho. Had some people run off without paying for last bit of the run and such, nothing major. And also got my ass handed to me back in D2LoD, was my own stupidity tho, so cant blame anyone xD.

Never scammed. Never been scammed. But GW does seem to have more of a problem with scammers than the average online game. With the notable exception of EVE where scamming, piracy, and dirty tricks in general are the whole point of the game.
If you really like scamming and don't mind a monthly fee, try EVE. But keep in mind that even the worst scammers here will find themselves sheep among the wolves over there.

Nope, never.
My conscience would consume me untill the rest of my days.
But I've done intelligent bussiness here and there, if you know what I mean :P.
Unfortunately I've been scammed over a dozen of times, if I recall correctly. By small amounts only, though.

Not worth the effort usually, anyone ith a brain canspot a scam, so it rarely works on anythig with value.

Never been scammed, never sold anything for more than it's worth. The only things that you can truly buy for less than they're worth are materials, dyes, and runes, and I've only done that once.

How much is your integrity worth??
500 fake GW gold on a "Ferry to the docks"
2 fake platinum on a "run to droks"
Im interested to see how much or how little someone will sell out their integrity for.
My integrity is worth at least a million Real dollars.
AKB48
I once sold a mini destroyer custumized for me without realizing it. Guess that count as a scam? =/
