Seriously. Gaile was more friendly and seemed way more dedicated to the players. Regina has yet to prove that, or so it seems. I hate to take a shot like that at someone, but really, if you're filling the shoes of a community manager, you better do your job.

Not only that, but I love how ANet says they wont even be showing anything about GW2 at PAX or Leipzig... if they knew that maybe they should have held back their GW2 announcement to begin with. This is seriously getting really old.

I'm tired of hearing about GW2. Release stalkers are the most annoying forumites around beside the normal trolls and such.

Information will be released when it's released. The hype train won't let you avoid the information. It will be plastered on your gaming news sites, this site, GW site itself, at GW login, and anywhere else they can plaster it.

Game releases take years. Sometimes even decades. Sometimes they never actually arrive even after being announced.

Remember the first time you heard anything at all about Spore? Yeah, me too. How long ago was that? How about Starcraft 2? How about the granddaddy of them all Duke Nukem...

Just wait for the information. Trust me. You won't miss it.

Regardless of people giving her shit since day 1, it's her job to talk to us. She gets paid to talk to us. She's not talking to us, so she's not doing her job properly. I wouldn't want to talk to us either, but if I was getting paid to do it, I'd do it.

Anyways, ANet either want to keep everything a secret to really surprise us, or they have little done for GW2. I hope it's not the latter.

I couldn't agree with you more especially about the GW2 annoucement as to no beta this year and whenever.I wouldn't of annouced it without any news on it.

Avarre is right Regina should be on the fansites what she get paid for either that or set up thier own boards fansites can still run with an official board.

The one thing that annoys me, is that she suggested people contact her on the wiki, and if they have suggestions, put them there, rather than her reading fansites.

Firstly, it's her JOB to go to fansites. COMMUNITY RELATIONS.

Secondly, wiki is not a forum. It's an encyclopedia where people can discuss the details of a page, in order to make sure it is correct. Since when did it turn into a discussion forum?

Hire someone else as CR, Regina fails harder than this mAT.

QFT. I can count on both hands the number of usefull things I've read from her. I think we cut her some slack in the 4 months she's been "here" (well not really on GWG, I think it's a shame) but it's now time to say what we feel and think. The new CR model at Anet sounds wrong and from our side they look like they're not doing much (but I'm sure they've got busy working days).

I don't like the wiki-style discussion and I like even less the lack of interaction with Anet. I think the interest of GWG has dimished since Gaile left (I think that if she was still here, she'd have posted comments on this week-end situation but I fear that she'd have been flamed like never before, even more than for the mini polar bear).

And yeah, it's a shame we won't have much on GW2 at PAX, maybe (a very small maybe?) some artwork that someone will have to scan for us (unless Anet specifically asks people not to do that). But well, I'll be patient anyway on this topic.

Back when Gaile was CR the community was a lot more ALIVE. New chapters were released, new content was added so Gaile had a lot more to tell us than Regina can.

You know, when Gaile was on, someone in my alliance would usually go "HEY GUYS! Gaile Gray is at [place] in ID1!" No one has heard from Regina. It's more like a "Regina, who?"

Second, I liked Gaile. She answered EVERY single one of my questions. She never missed one. No matter how redundant they were, she answered my questions. I would visit her quite often. People complain how she never answered their questions, but I beg to differ. >

I care about GW.
I care about GW2 if they care about GW.

I can't say they don't care. They've provided extra material for the game: Sorrow's Furnace, Hard Mode, Zaishen Chest, they update on a monthly basis, they quickly respond to drastic problems, they provide developer notes, they provide user talk pages for us to reach them, and they provide Community Coordinators and Managers for us.

On the other hand, extra material does not fix existing problems, almost every monthly update is a joke, they disregard minor problems for ages, they don't regularly update developer notes, they're very selective or delayed on user talk responses, and Regina is not very talkative to us or the other forums.

I understand they don't make any extra income once I purchase a campaign, but I have no motivation to buy character slots or extra shit in order to help. If they're focusing so much on GW2 -- a game that only exists as a concept -- that GW is thoroughly disregarded as a consequence, then why should I spend any more cash on GW? Every indicator is that my investment is futile. I understand some of the problems in the game are structural and unfixable, but they aren't even trying to fix or alleviate the majority of present issues.

Rather than have a marvelous platform to enthuse people about GW2, they're thoroughly mishandling and neglecting GW, and expecting me to have great enthusiasm for a sequel that doesn't meaningfully exist yet. Once they have anything for GW2, I'll be so sick of how ArenaNet has treated GW that I won't care. The only reason I'm not completely apathetic right now is because I'm thoroughly frustrated. Once I finally get it through my thick skull that this game isn't worth being frustrated about, I'll become apathetic and find something else to do.

Gaile was bad because when she replied to people's questions she didn't actually answer them, and she wasted a lot of time trying to be friends with everyone. Regina is worse because she barely interacts with the community at all.
