Your Biggest LOLWTF moment

So I'll start this off. I just finished kathandrax minutes ago and wonder of wonders, the chest spits out an emerald blade for me. I tell all my guildies that i just got a req 10 cruel emerald blade of deathbane and theyre all going "gratz dude, thats worth 150 ectos!". Then i go "wait a minute, this thing is not inscribable!". I never knew that eotn weapons could be uninscribable but i guess if a sword happens to drop with a deathbane mod on it, it will not have a damage modifier bonus on it. Tell us your most shocking GW moment that made you go

after 4 months of 1 fow run aday with a guildie we take a nother friend who has never done fow and he gets a r9 crystaline sword caster mod...............alli got an extra obby shard

I got kicked out of a guild for telling my guild leader that Raisu Palace is not the final mission in Factions.

We had just finished that mission with Masters, then when the cutscene loaded for Imperial Sanctum, he claimed I lied about knowing Factions (at this time, I had 3 of 5 characters with Protector of Cantha) and decided to let me know lying sons of GO RED ENGINE are not welcome in his guild.

Needless to say, a few (like seven) other guildies left when they found this out about our guild leader.

I've never had something good (worth more than 15K "good") drop so I guess every time I log on is a LOLWTF moment.

Seriously though, just before the UB nerf I farmed HARD to get braces together for the HoM update. A friend goes and opens 10 coffers and wham! 2 braces...

That is seriously f**ked up bro.

Some ppl have no luck cause others got all of it.

When I was running a friend (New to GW) through the frontier game mission, (for the first time) he got a black dye and 2 whites.

I ran Kath, Rragar, CoF, Raven, and Oola's in HM one Saturday. I get a Diamond & Onyx from Kath, bad luck so I go unto Rragar and I get a Diamond & Onyx, pretty upset at this points so I do a CoF run and I get a Diamond & Onyx, really upset at this point but I figure my luck will get better, so I do Raven's points and get a Diamond and Onyx, at this point I am not upset it is now funny, so I run Oola's Lab and I get a diamond & Onyx, at this point I am laughing my butt off and tell friends.

The good part is I ran Ooze pit and got two crappy gold which broke my bad luck.

5 Dungeons = 5 Diamonds & 5 Onyx

The favor reset during the SS/LB double point weekend is mine.

I saw a someone spamming "WTB NORMAL MONK TOME 1.5K!" in kaineng so I whispered to let them know that since you can only get skills that are unlocked from a tome and since all unlocked skills are available from any skill trainer in the campaign they are from that he/she was overpaying. He/she replied with "u f**kng noob, some skills you can only get from tomes and some I can't reach so I buy a tome!" when I finally stopped laughing I asked if he/she could name any of these skills that you can only get from a tome and all I got was "I already got it so it doesn't matter."

When I was brand new to guildwars, on my first day, my guild taught me how to play and what not. Then they begin to run/fight me from Ascalon all the way to Droks and fight our way through the shiverpeaks to power level me. Needless to say I get 2 greens and a gold outside Deldrimor War Camp. And I believe i was under lvl 10 at the time. They were steamed and wanted the greens. I hand them over because I was a warrior and I didnt get any warrior weapons. But they were nice enough to buy me Droks Armor though.

Then while on my ranger, was paying a guy to do The Great Northern Wall because I was way to damn lazy at the time. Im just sitting there idle waiting for him to do the mission. He begins to kill the monsters at the begining and low and behold one drops a black dye for me. I believe I was lvl 3-5 and already a black dye from Ascalon. Needless to say, he whined and moaned about I should hand it over because I didnt fight and I was idle. In the end I didnt give it up and he left the party.

was HAing, and a EoE went off that killed every 1 but me "a monk" and i had to stand there for like 40secs-1min and wait for every to respawn.

One day i was in ToA and i was looking for some PUG to FoW. It was before EotN has been relased. So i found a team easily and all said "ready, lets go"

Then i see The Underworld area is connecting on. When we joined on the map somebody just saw exclamation sign over the spirit and ran to take the quest. somebody else lured both groups of aatxes, another one lured graspings, in 15 seconds all party was wiped out and others started to scream OMG FFS WTF!!!

I was luaghing so hardly then i was crying

My thoght then was "It's good I didnt pay for this FoW run" ROTFL

one things even funnier than that, when eoe used to still effect after match finish and the killing of the two loosing teams could kill all the people on the winning team, thus making them unable to get reward chest.

unfortunately that didn't last too terribly long.

and for those that'll call me a griefer for this statement, i had it happen to me a few times as well, and i sitll laughed just as hard as i did when it happened to other people.

well, for the game maybe, but i'll stick with luck in real life rather than beg for luck in a game.

sometimes when you're not lucky............force your luck, everything in the world runs on odds, and knowing that shows you that if you continue to be headstrong till you get what you want regardless of the consequences you'll eventually get what it is that you desire... the problem is having the balls to go through the consequences of such head-strongness.

Logging in and finding that your friend has bought you some shiny new gear is always pretty good - but the biggest LOLWTF moment was when I log in and see my Ritualist wearing FoW armor, and my girlfriend says over my shoulder "Yeah I thought you'd like it, looks pretty neat with that dye (some weird light brown mix) - oh and by the way, I sold all your rangers bows to afford it".



I got that impression when I remembered she never had any money in GW. I also didn't get dinner that night. And I still haven't figured out to this day why I didn't.

my biggest lolwtf moment. me and a guildy were doing like 2-3 UW runs a day for a few weeks, then we get a new guildie(yay ). he's never done UW, so we say hey! we'll teach you! course we get a pug and teach him during that, still finish in under one set, then the chest pops. i triple scroll. guildie gets 2 ectos. nothing rly good. the new guy gets a q9 e-blade. QQ
