How many people want a-net to ban yeti sounds?
Layla
Anyone who has ever been in a district with a bunch of yeti tonics spamming the /sit and escape stuff would totally agree with this, why should we have to turn our effects off just because some people find it funny to annoy other people?
Mini pets don't make noises in towns so why do tonics? A random noise every now and then wouldn't be a problem but come on!
BAN THEM?

b& all these stupid tonics

Annoying people in town is always going to happen, be it dumb Yeti sounds or spamming your pointless zrank. Easier to just turn off sounds.

eh just ignore it. i haven't played with sound for over 12 months in GW

A feature that turns off the sounds made by tonics would be even better.

You can solve the problem in one of two ways:
1) Ban the idiots
2) Prevent the idiocy (in this case, by removing the sound)
Since ANet is reluctant to expend the costs necessary to detect and ban, #2 is the only viable option.
It'd be OK for the Yetis to still grunt randomly.

I too enjoy ambient sounds, but Anet really needs to think things through some times.....and if we have learned anything from 3.5 years of GW, it's that anything that CAN be abused, WILL be abused

I agree, the Yeti noises are old but I don't see them happening as often as they were. Agreed, /signed

Those who complain do not deserve what they want.
Plus there are so many ways to avoid it (sound down, change dis, ect) and it is a freaking game, this should not bother you.

Two things you can do to avoid Yeti sounds:
1. Turn your effects volume down.
2. Change districts.

Yes it should go. I believe this is an ANet oversight on how people with yeti tonic can abuse it to annoy surrounding people in town within the same district.
They actually have an emote with sound which they can spam over and over. Don't tell me hearing that sound continuously lasting for who knows when the guy wants to give up, is not annoying.

There is no voice comms in the district everyone is one vent anyway. Yeti haters are right up the with the mini kunavang haters and rainbow phoenix haters. Seems to me they just hate to see someone having fun with something they don't have.

With this tonic I can literally FORCE everyone around me to either leave or turn off/down their sound. Many players are already abusing this exploit in town.
Why do Yeti tonic players have the right to force other players to leave or not use their sound?

How often do you see a Yeti? A lot? Maybe you spend too much time in town *cough Kamadan cough*.
As each monthly tonic comes around I am sure the Yeti tonic will start showing up less frequently.
Plus, does this not belong in Sardelac where all the rest of the useless petitions are?

I am fine with the other tonics, but no player should able to spam sound over and over in town like that and force others to leave or play without sound. Since the emote sound for the Yeti is especially long, they can make one continuous train of sound over and over which is terribly annoying.

Lots and I'm one of em.
Not ban though, just remove /sit /stand emote sound from all tonics.

Don't care actually as long as they are not covering up the Mad King.
Sound is an option. Yeti are cute. and no i don't have that potion.

I love the tonic sounds! They make the outposts more lively. If anything they should bring back the mini's sounds.
Owik Gall
We need to make it clear to a-net that this is an issue that they should not look over. People with these tonics are taking advantage of them to deliberately harass people. A-net, please, for all of us in this game, do something about it!
Miss Gratia
Definately!! Those yetis are soo irritating in Kamadan, cuz there is always one there!

When that one guy in Lion's Arch was spamming the Yeti sound for 15 minutes straight I was laughing my ass off. Its funny how anal people can get over such a silly thing.

At some point in time, it becomes an annoyance. Try turning up your PC volume at midnight while Yeti spamming, then try speaking to your neighbors the next morning.

You'd think A.net would have learned with the troll mini.
(@ Achrr The Archer, minipets USED to make sounds, but once A.net realized how annoying it was the removed it).

Why does it surprise anyone that a noisy yeti would annoy some people? Why did A-Net forget the lesson of the minis and give the yeti a way to make noise anyway? (Bear in mind, that the sounds made by minis was random, whereas any noise made by the yeti is controlled by the player) And finally, Why is there so many people here saying " Switch districts" or "turn down your sound?" That's like saying "Let the annoying little jerks (to use the PG word) have their way and do whatever the RED ENGINE (not the PG word) they want.
Crimzon_DST
SIGNED.. without a doubt. Did I mention I AGREE with remove sound or ban them. Can care less which, just sick of listening to it. You dont even need the volume up much at all and somehow the yeti and other tonics are loud as all hell.
