Guild Wars 4th Aniversary

Personally I think 5th slot should be free, then if you want more you buy more.

Either way, at least it's finally details. Also, daily quests FTW (hopefully)

paying for extra storage - guild wars, bringing stupid to a whole new level.

So apparently the weapon and armor storage will be free, as well as the limited one-time one-tab xunlai storage added, with additional xunlai storage at a price. But $9.99? for one tab? I'll buy new char slots instead. May as well buy them now, because Anet will probably double the price in response to these posts.

LOL I was just getting ready to say "Daily Quests in MY Guild Wars!?" But its a good idea. It will get people to try modes of PVP they don't normally play. Not to mention it would be fun to do the daily quests with guildmates.

The separated slots for weapons and armor are things that we've sorta been asking about for years. Same with the menagerie. No biggies there.

Only thing I find interesting about the whole thing is the Zaishen Challenge quests. That sounds like it could be an okay way of getting people to replay different parts of the game. I don't know what they would offer for rewards though. Z-Keys wouldn't make a lot of sense for the PvE accomplishments, and gold is useless to PvPers.

Also, I can't be sure of this, but I do believe I was told that some adjustments were being made to the HoM in this update. How come I don't see anything about that?

And curse you, ANet, for holding your festival all through the last week before finals.

you guys who are complaining about the price of the new storage panes ... i am happy i dont have to sit there get someone else to move items back and forth between other accounts. also my train of thought is that if you get the 4 or any of the storage grades for like the first month they will give you the 5th one free but who knows i be it will be something much much lamer then that. and will probably rage everyone. other wise sweet infos.

We already know about the HoM being in this update. The point of the preview was to show some of the other things.

And I have a question about this:

I know it says wait for details and doesn't even specify if it is inside or outside the game, but is this going to be something attainable by all (motivated) players, even if they don't have access to everywhere in the game yet / live outside of USA?

Kerwyn, I don't see any new pets in the video. I see a cat, a chicken, an ox, and some other stuff that are other animal models already in game, but no new pets.

Anyway, lots of cool stuff.
People complaining about not getting those extra tabs on storage need to reread a few things. For example, whatever these equipment bags are (armor storage!) is sure to save up space. Also, each character is apparently getting another bag, which is an extra 10 storage per character (or 100 storage slots for a standard NF+Phroph+Factions account).

Yeah! How dare they try to make money! Can you guys believe this?! Charging? Real money? What is this, some sort of company? (I could stress that it's optional but I know logic will only work 20% of the time.)

Dont get me wrong about the update as a whole.. I am loving the "New Daily Quests" and "Armor Storage"... those are HUGE big pluses for me... great job...

I am just a little roughed up about the pay to open a storage slot thing itself... I understand the payment of all those updates done have to come from somewhere... but most people are noting that a new toon slot would be more benificial as a storage unit...

but wait... that would mean I might be inclinded to play that new toon, which in turn, would make me play this game even more 0.0... I see the psychology of this now! I am on to you!

One thing I think that can already be determined (by the use of the term 'promotion') is that there will be a finite, and probably pretty small, window in time within which to get this fifth tab, and if you for whatever reason (you know.....real life) you can't make it, then.......

Hum... I suppose that's not the entire April update is it? Like the storage though.
