Exactly. If this game charged a monthly fee then the "buying storage" argument would be valid. As the model stands now (considering server space isn't free) I find this to be fair. I know armor and weapon storage was a highly requested feature.

Eh. Either way they get the money. (Which I feel they do deserve.) So in the end maybe it will just make people inclined to buy more slots who knows. I would find a tab on the storage more convenient anyways just because I have a bad memory and would have to sort through every mule I had to find a certain item.

And I understand the people saying you get more space with a character slot. (But isn't there a limit to how many you can buy?) What gets to me is people who are saying it should be free anyways. Why? Why should everything be free? Yeah that'ld be sweet but it just is not practical at all.

I am aware that the models are in the game, I meant that they where up till now uncap able with Charm Animal, so i did not consider them "pets"

Ok I'll admit that I was a bit hasty with my knee-jerk response, but you can't hype up added storage and a huge quarterly update then after everyone was all worked into a frenzy drop the dollar sign on our heads. That's just weaksauce.

Personally I'd like something special (besides 4th year minis which anyone can get if they stick around long enough) for accounts that have been around since the day of release (like mine). Something a little extra special for the first timers. You can say that getting the 4th year minis first is reward enough, but I disagree, especially if we've deleted our first characters months into playing, not knowing there would be miniatures based on character age.

I'd also like my extra storage tab that I paid for by buying EOTN for $40 in the in-game store just for the stupid BMP that I never use any more anyway, but that's probably not going to happen.

Either way, I'm extremely excited for this update. I know I'll be getting my heroes lots of pets before the update, just so I can add them to the "zoo". I wonder if that'll be account or character based.

I'm also happy with the extra storage space, at least something is better then nothing. However 10 bucks for an additional storage tab seems a bit pricey. Hell, $5 still would have seemed expensive but perhaps not as bad.

What I meant when I said "attainable by all players" was, is it something everyone would be able to get? A silly example of how it >wouldn't< be something attainable by all would be if you had to win a top 100 rank GvG match to get it.

From what other people have said I realised it might be like the BMP where it comes with a purchase of some sort - that >would< be attainable by everyone (ofc they might not want to spend the money, but they >could<).

Since its on the Battle Isles and you can upgrade with Balthazar I think its safe to say it will be account wide. I will make sure I have one badass petting zoo.

except those that were unable to access the in-game store, which was a common problem in europe i heard...i'm not sure what the status about that is now

although the word "promotion" suggests otherwise, as long as anet makes that extra slot available for free, it would all be fine. make it a quest or something.

I am so mad with this update now. Its way overpriced for these stupid storage panes. 10 bucks a pane, or 40 bucks total. I dont want to pay 40 bucks for 4 panes of storage on an update to a game. Maybe they coulda given us a heads up that it woulda cost money if you wanted some of this update.

This has made me so mad grrrr maybe im just having a crappy day...but i hate this so much and do not plan on buying this storage....80 extra spaces for 40 bucks! So worth it!...NOT....Screw this

Sounds Great, not the the storage update, that was expected (expect for charging money!). There'll be Zaishen DAILY quests, I hope that they're more than go there and do that kind of quests.

BTW, how dead is this game? This content preview was announced 2 days ago in the official site at the front page and No One has even noticed until now.

Just to end with a good note that represents how I feel about this update; great job Anet. period. Nothing else matters.

Regina, since you seem to be eyeing the thread, could you confirm whether these are all the "major" features that will be in the April update? Just out of curiosity.

Hope you guys buy lots of storage slots or GW2 aint getting finished. Hint they ran out of money and invented dumb crap like this to make more. I shure as hell wont be buying zilch.

Btw did anyone think about what more storage space will do to the economy? O sorry i forgot its allready broken beyond repair.

Zaishen Quests dont expect new content. I believe you´ll be wisked to some random boss that you´ll have to kill. In return you get a zcoin reward wich you can use to buy more wooden planks with. What for you ask? Idk just ranting.

I would have prefered a mini scavanger hunt and changes to the HoM than all this useless crap which is only suposed to make anet more money.

The Zaishen quests looks great! Now in the guild we wont have to ask 10 times what dungeon people will want to run tonight. We can just do which ever corresponds to the daily quest. If the reward gets us Zkeys I wont have to salvage my armor to buy a few zkeys like I was planning so I can afford r1 zrank! More ways to get Zkeys = more Zkeys for everyone = the cheaper they get! Yeah! I like! Zrank was way too expensive. Now if they really did add the knockdown to the zrank emote like the April Fools update said... omg... that would be the best update ever. But this new zaishen questing is definitely the best part of the update announcement. Thumbs up!

Hmmm...not going to complain about the free pane either. Was hoping for a place to dump tomes and dyes so I guess that uses up my pane right there. My fantasy was they make weapon mods stackable... omg that would free up so much space.

Ohh...I definitely want to cap that chicken or rooster in the video and name him Deli Meat ...or something like that.

What the hell are you guys complaining about? We're getting FREE Equipment Storage, new Zaishen quests and new area for pets and you complain about not getting everything for free.. They put a lot of work into it, if you don't want to buy it or don't have money, who cares, you still get the free stuff and new content in the game.. People are so selfish, they must get everything for free or they just whine all the time.

Eh, it seems like it is a promising update so I'll wait to comment until I actually see it in game.
