Zcoins are used to unlock the pet tiers in the Manegerie. Not tradable beyond your account. Collectors take them too for various things (like Zkeys). OMG must farm...

How i see it - I've been playing over 3 years with no monthly subscriptions.
If i had been playing WoW it would have cost me $540 to play for that amount of time. ($15/ month=180 * 3 years )
So hell. $10 for extra storage doesnt seem so much now does it?

Big problem with that is the fact that this IS NOT WOW. If we were given even half of the content that WoW gives out I'd agree. This game is nowhere near the scale of World of Warcraft, so there's no comparison to be made. This game attracted players because it looked spectacular and was free to play. Using WoW as an excuse to charge $10 for $1 worth of "content" is ridiculous.

Yes, I expect them to do this, as they always like to f over the people who really wanted the title and so worked for it (yes, it is work getting the keys and opening the chest 20k times).

It's amazing what people expect from optional content. Don't want to spend $10 on a storage tab? Don't. Buy a second account or a new char slot, they still make money, they're just offering an extra option for storage, purely for your convenience (no swapping between a mule). Besides, extra storage costs them money too. Honestly, I think ArenaNet finally got the idea; no one is happy even if you give them free stuff (like the last time we got a ton of extra storage), so why not charge 'em?
We're still getting free storage, along with a new option for storage, among other new (and free) content. You should just be happy we are getting anything, besides this is just a preview, we don't know what else they have planned.

the way i see it is like this: when they told us that they were going to be improving/upgrading the storage for characters and accounts for the April Update, i was under the notion that these improvements/upgrades to the storage "feature" would be free. I thought this because i remember Anet saying that important "features" for GW would be added to the game for free, whereas new content (like BMP and game expansions) would come at a cost. Now here we are a few weeks away only to find out that the account storage upgrade will only happen if we spend the money for it. Thats just my reasoning for being a lil upset about the account storage.
However, in the end its Anets game and they have every right to run it the way they want to, just as my money is mine and i have every right to spend it how i want to, so it seems im not actually going to be getting an increase to my account storage like i thought. At least not until i feel the need/desire to spend the $10.

Seems kind of stupid to pay $10 for just another page of storage when you can get an entire character and 46 storage slots plus all the hero slots for $10 instead. The only useful thing is the storage would all be in one place and I wouldn't have to logout and login to get the items I want like I've been doing for 4 years now. But, $40 for more storage? I thought they said they would never charge for stuff like that again. Didn't they learn their lesson when they tried this when Factions came out?

Just to make this clear - nobody is complaining about Anet adding in the option to pay for additional storage, although the general consensus is that the cost of it is prohibitive (compared to other options at similar cost). The main disappointment is that the 'free' part of the storage update doesn't really appear to be much of an upgrade. 20 weap/armor slots on a char (supposedly, if you buy the 'max' equipment pack) and 1 extra tab of Xunlai Storage isn't all that much extra for free. There are still problems with books, consumables, minipets, inscriptions, mods, and materials beyond the paltry 250 that are allowed in your current materials tab to contend with.
Anything is better than nothing, and for that I'm thankful, but don't expect me to be doing cartwheels over this part of the April Update by any means. Anet/NCSoft could've raised extra money in other ways, such as lowering the cost of extra character slots from the in-game store or campaigns in the in-game store from their fixed max price (so people would actually buy these instead of waiting for Amazon/Newegg/etc. low-cost deals instead).

I'm pretty happy with that's been announced, is certainly more than I was expecting. As people have said, paying for extra storage is optional. Maybe I'll pick up one or 2, maybe not, choice is a lovely thing.

Personally, I'm quite happy with the 5th bag - my Ranger has around 15 weapons and 10 armor pieces, and a place to put 10 of those other than bags would be quite nice. The 5th storage slot would be a great addition, and that's enough for me.
The Zaishen Quests have the potential to be great, and also have the potential to be a huge disappointment. I'm not going to make any other calls on those until the update comes.

I have no complaints with the optional storage for $10.00 because Guild Wars has no monthly fee. Overall a nice addition to the game. I'm still not letting Arenanet forget we are still waiting for HOM and GW2 info!

This update keeps looking cooler and cooler, the fact that the Zaishen Quests are already made content should focus people in that area. If the quest is to do the whole Sorrows furnace though I would hope it had a pretty decent reward.

Well guess it's time for me to make a (probably brief) return to Guru. This update might entice me to actually play for the first time in a few months. I'm mostly looking forward to the Equipment packs as several of my character's inventories have gotten rather full of armour and weapons (especially my warrior).
