i farmed the trolls in the cave and the ones before. now nic wants their tusks they didnt want to drop them alot. took like 12 runs to get all 25.

I did two runs and got 15 - then I remembered I had a char with ~150 in their inventory >.<

(edit - @ Notorious Bob - exactly that. They were in my old Wammo's inventory, back from the days when he used to farm the buggers. His name is a giveaway - Kedric Trolltwatter

Yeah, depending on where one farmed, the Moonshell or Azure Crest weeks would have yielded a few black pearls. Been waiting for these -- had a few saved up.

As for farming more, unless I'm doing something terribly wrong, I find Gyala Hatchery explorable to be a pretty poor farming location -- too many other things (leviathan, outcasts) to get in the way. Back and forth through Archipelagos between Breaker's Hollow and Cavalon, sweeping slightly east to grab Kaysey, seems to be ideal -- nothing but pearl-dropping foes (an easily avoidable group of Naga off to the side) and Luxon priests at both ends.

luckly i had 3 saved from a vanq i did. i farmed in nm with me as sos rt,a panic messie,UA heal monk and a mmprot necro. i did the small area the scar eater guy is. fast and easy

Damn, just spended 40 minutes killing them, and not even 1 dragon root dropped for me

But I'll get it!

Edit:

well, I just went into Braurer Academy, then took spirit spammer and went solo at exit Southwest....just run 20m, put up spirits, call first group, kill, re-zone.

Took me around 15 minutes to get 5 dragon roots.
