Nicholas the Traveler - Location Discussion (Updated Mondays)

Hmm, I thought I'd try farming them in HM, for chests and golds/tomes/etc. However, it seems these MOBs are so low level, that in NM they always drop something, but in HM they only drop 1 in 3-4 (using same exact build). So, you prolly get 3-4 times as many trophy drops in NM as HM, due to this loot drop nerf. And, it takes about 2-3+ times as long to kill them in HM as NM - so you're looking at almost 8 times more trophy drops in NM over time?!?

And, chests in HM were rarely along the route I took - but of course in NM there was an Istani one LOL. Did get 2 tomes (ele/war), but it seemed about 2 fins per run NM, rarely any in HM (4 runs gave 0). FWIW, way more teeth and claws than fins dropped...

Got the usual stuff...sweets are, as always, welcome, though, for me



And in addition to the white dye I got earlier, I also got a black dye on my last run. Sweet.

Skale fins?

I always got many of them, and always mearched them.

But at least they are very easy to farm.

Next week, 25 skale teeth! That's what i'm guessing.
Just think of all the /facepalming thats going to happen then.

This weeks drops were as useless as always: 30 hunter ales, 10 bottle rockets and 5 mysterious summoning stones.

took me a bit. kepted getting teeth and other items. and once again i got crap. 5 bunny tonics,10myst and 20 ales(normal ones). bah

what's up with collecting items from collectors. geez.

Not only that, but guess what we have to farm for collectors again? Skales.

I still stick to what i said in this thread somewhere.
That whatever Nic is collecting they are changing the drop rate slightly for that item only.
I farm things there for events trades Halloween Wintersday whatever and always got more
fins than what i am getting this week doing the same setup runs and paths.
Never had so many teeth drop on runs either. O.o

things have actually been looking a little up for me these past two weeks in that I got a couple of kegs.

I'd rather trade 5 skale teeth for a gift rather than 2 skale fins. At least the teeth actually....drop.

if you have the quest in beknur harbor available where all the skale attack the village, that's the best way I've found to do it. Got all of my fins in about 10-15 min, and that's with using a couple heroes.

why do i feel like i'm farming teeth instead of fins? going on about 10 runs, i have 3 fins. 25 teeth.
