gack - that's gonna take even longer than the berries did. Course I won't need 60 this time because my son never got nightfall so I won't be able to steal his gifts - darn.

Ishtani, NM level 7's prly drop roots at the same rate as HM level 22's

45 should not be that time consuming when you insta kill them level 7s.

Arjok ward would just be my best guess, just slaughter them there.

And as for 600/smite, i guess it would work i don't see why not, would be annoying with all the pop-ups though

Well this is annoying... 2 weeks in a row that both require nightfall... :-/

My excitement over this traveler thing is fading pretty fast...

Mine too, but only because this one requires even more mindless farming than last week.

I MAY be wrong, but it might only be 1 cake per gift, im not sure. Since he only mentions needing one cake and not 3. Someone could confirm on the first cake?

Edit: So if this was true, that would be 15 roots instead of 45. What a relief

I just took a full party of H & H and got 3 roots while clearing the mandragors on the path to Nicholas.

Wiki says the roots from istan (mandragor swamproot) are different than the ones from kourna (mandragor root).
So forget about it. Go to Kourna and farm your butt off.

It's 1 cake per gift.

So only a total of 15 Roots needed.

It seems that the drop rates for the roots is a wee bit higher than normal. Arkjok is a good place to farm too.

not how I'm seeing it...

From the wiki:

Nicholas the Traveler provides Gifts of the Traveler in exchange for various items to those that can find him. His location and requested item changes weekly, which occurs at 15:00 UTC (8:00 PDT) on Monday. Each account is limited to 5 Gifts of the Traveler per week. This limit is per location, and resets each time Nicholas moves.
Locations

for the week beginning 11th May 2009 (previous appearances are documented here)
