The equipment packs are a nice, useful addition. The problem is the crazy amount of time that you'd have to go through just to get a maximum of 20 slots for armor and weapons.
It is simply not possible for me to spend so much time grinding over this. Whatever happened to skill over grinding? That was one of the reasons I originally started to play Guild Wars. Going after titles and such is indeed optional, but to be able to acquire a useful extra bag you have to grind so much?
I hope to see the equipment packs available in a less taxing way 'cause right now it's really not possible to get them unless you have a lot of time in your hands and a taste for grind...
Hundreds of hours for a few equipment pack slots?!?

According to the guru community, repetition = grind. And there is nothing left in GW but repetition. There is nothing you can do in GW that is new and you haven't done dozens or hundreds of times before, unless you are new to the game in which case you don't need the extra storage yet anyway.
These quests are about as varied and non-repetitious as it's ever going to get. If you don't like it, if you think it's a grind... then you need need a new game.

You don't have to do the same quest every day so it's not grind. Just like going out with another girl every night is not grind.

Buy the 5 slot one then.. what i did..
Noone is forcing you to go for the 20 slot one. You didnt have one until now, what makes you feel so forced to grind for it now? |
The backpack, belt pouch and bags that are available to carry things can be acquired from merchants. Now, there's a very visible extra pack in between these other items where you can add weapons and armor.
The way to get it? It took me about 12 hours throughout many days to get 1 gold zaishen coin. The requirements are too high for something like this IMO...

if the grind is too much for u, the small 5 slot one should be enough for u, lol. if u don't grind, i don't see u running out of room because u would be against grind farming. if ur running out of space, u can buy some more storage without grinding for equip bags. if u don't want to pay, delete or sell some shit and quit ur QQing.

500 copper for a 10 slot isn't bad. 2500 for a 15 slot is grind, but doable by most people. 7500 for 20 does suck ass though.

It's also getting pretty annoying how my quest log for Zaishen missions and Zaishen bounties is getting backed up thanks to partially completed Zaishen PvP challenges. I can't cash in my bounties unless I cash in my not yet fully completed AB reward that I don't want to cash in until I finish all bonus objectives. And if I can't cash in my bounties, I can't get new ones. JQ will probably give me a similar problem soon.

I'm sorry, I can't stand the grind of doing so many JQ or AB battles in a short time. I need to spread those out over a few days for peace of mind. I prefer to do a different PvE quest every day. Trying to get the PvP ones done completely is only giving me more trouble getting coins because they stop me getting more of the PvE quests.
It's not grind, really. You do different quests a day, and you get the coins. If you can manage to be patient and understand that you're not going to die if you don't get the 20 slot bag, it's really not that bad, you just have to work for it.
If anything, I see this as a good thing. It caters to both casual and hardcore players. Casual players can buy a small equipment pack from the merchant or do some quests to get the light/large equipment pack, and hardcore gamers can get the heavy one. More effort, more reward.
