Alright first off, i'll start with the "official" explanation on why it's nerfed.
"Mantra of Resolve is the sort of skill that can cause problems in how the game plays. We've made dramatic numerical changes to this skill, essentially changing its function from giving long-term protection against interrupts to allowing a player to only protect key skills from interruption. By reducing its duration to 5, we hope to accomplish three things: First, having much shorter duration compared to recharge will require thoughtful usage of the skill. It can still be used to protect key spell-casts but will not provide blanket protection. Second, by requiring the caster to use the skill right before casting a spell, we give enemies a chance to see that Mantra of Resolve is in effect. We didn't feel that it was reasonable for someone's interruption attempt to be countered by an invisible stance that was activated a full minute or more earlier. Third, we wanted to make the energy cost of the skill matter. Even though the skill only takes 5 energy, needing to use it right before casting a spell should be a meaningful change."
Alright this, truly only applies to a PvP enviroment with the quote:
"We didn't feel that it was reasonable for someone's interruption attempt to be countered by an invisible stance that was activated a full minute or more earlier."
I mean really does anyone care about interrupting creatures in PvE ? With Discordway, sabway, and on occasions Triple Ele running rampant in PvE interrupting only interferes on ONE crucial build in Pve, 600/smite. This kills any attempt in running 600/smite in any zone with interrupts. You could argue QZ makes it sustainable with dwarven stability, but that's truly ineffective.
My Feelings-
- WHY,,just WHY, nerf a build that's been around for all this time and has enough counters in zones that is doesn't take over the game ( See Shadow form)
- To Anet: NOT EVERY BLOODY PERSON WANTS TO FARM USING PERMA, STOP PUSHING IT ON US.
/end rant and will start with /sign
And yes Black Metal I did get this idea from you :3.

So, Anet, did you also improve the pve AI so that enemies really can see MoR, and adjust their responses accordingly? Seriously, you might want to reword that, because it smacks of insincerity about why you were too lazy to split it. Either split it or reduce the recharge accordingly.

The nerf to a single raptor farming build has been done before but was overlooked. Sand Shards was used for raptor farming and no one signed a petition. There are other builds out there for raptor farming on a wider variety of classes including Ele's. And seeing as only 1 single popular 600/Smite farm uses MoR it wasn't aimed at 600/Smite it was aimed at PvP VoR Mesmers. The split will probably come anyways just not now and I thought just pointing out its not necessary in the first place might help u stop QQing for now.
Use this for now if u really have to farm raptors that badly.
"""X/E Raptor farmer, just don't spend the time killing until the last monster. I believe he uses Mental Block on his N/E.

You clearly don't understand the problem. Telling people to use other builds is essentially saying "don't get upset over the flexibility being destroyed! Just use permas! Permas are the answer to everything!"

I also said you will still get your update, its obvious, but to remedy the situation I added that build which is kinda similar. It just works for anything so I posted it hoping it would help. Don't flame me cuz I'm trying to help you cope for the time being -.-...
I also brought up the point the this was already overlooked once before so anet may think twice next time before nerfing a 3rd build because they don't split the skills.

I don't like the fact that they killed it. And I do wish they'd put it back for PvE for a few reasons.
First being my roomate and his girlfriend have nothing left to do together.
They used to 600/Smite Wajjun together. Can't really do it now because of Signet of Disruption carried by the mesmers. 2 of those bastages in a group can kill you even with the 30 ~ 60+ duration. :/
Second being Coldfires in the Underworld. Most of their damage output is Malestrom and it's god damn near impossible to avoid them all.
Third, I used it for general PvE on my monk, and occasionally my necromancer, in certain places so that I could actually get a skill off once in a while. :/
/Seal of Approval.
