It is not disinterest, laziness, or unwillingness to see the breadth of the issue that has been the cause of the increase in this problem. There have been a variety of reasons for the fact that RR Day has become an issue. You know that my focus is the way in which Support interacts with and impacts upon a matter like this. On that basis, I'd like to express the Support Team's regret to any players who have been disappointed by the situation or who feel that Support has somehow failed to address the matter satisfactorily.
Hero Battles and Team Arena will be removed in this week's build. I think that will address the concern, at least regarding the issue of match manipulation and its related impact on title prestige and on the economy. I believe, then, that the Support-related aspects of this topic have been addressed with that information, and that you can see "the light at the end of the tunnel" regarding the closure of RR Day's abuses. As always, please share your thoughts about design changes or the move to new game mechanics/formats on the appropriate pages. Likewise for any concerns about a game mechanic that you believe may be abused now or in the future. Your thoughts in advance of the finalization of design could be very helpful. Thanks for your understanding. Original link: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Feedb...Red_Resign_day |

No player harassment is tolerated in Guild Wars, and that includes player harassment of those who refuse to engage in game cheating, exploiting, or ladder manipulation.
Hero Battles and Team Arena close this week, as per the Live Team. This matter will become moot at that point, I'm sure. But for any cases where you find yourself the victim of harassment, there are remedies and I hope you will use them to help us make Guild Wars a better place to be. Meanwhile, last week we discussed letting you all know about the closing of TA and HB, and Linsey agreed that it would be a good idea. Team Arenas and Hero Battles will be removed in the next build. The game update to remove those two formats will arrive this week. Original link: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/User:...9_October_2009 |
