By actually helping out in the end (and half-assing it at that), it was pretty easy for me to get consistent 5 minute runs from start to chest spawn.

500e is really low. 
Now, what I am afraid of is that there is a kind of drop condition besides to its rarity. For example, drop chance is only enabled if a certain other Wintersday quest is completed, or a certain day, I don't know.

ive done i dont know how many runs already and not seen one..im not doing it for the bear really i want poìnts for my titles and ccs..even if i got 1 id probably give it to my boyfriend..but yeh me and my friend pretty much only do this the whole wintersday for title points we have a kind of a race on to see who maxes first and i dont seem to get drops from farming..drops nerfed ftw. last year we did 1000+ each and nothing

Imo its a waste of time farming for MPB... also a waste of money for it too.
Seriously a small polar bear isn't worth 500-1000e when you will get tired of it a few weeks later...
It would be hilarious if they made it like a 2-5% chance so power traders are screwed as prices would go down a ton.

I did 700+ runs last year and got none. My goal was to do 1000+ this year. So far I have done 5 runs and I am bored already. I have decided spending 500e is the option I am taking instead.

yeah I dunno I don't count the runs.. but I did enough to sell quite a few stacks last year- I was like comeon throw diddy a bone lol it's pretty rare, and do you notice it has never dropped for a vet.. it's always the level 8 ranger.. maybe something to that- you know the drop rate how you seem to get alot of golds after a layoff

I've heard if you run this quest moving backwards, and if you keep your one eye closed during the quest the chance to get MPB is equal not 0,035% but 0,042% !! Amazing! ISn't!

Straight to the Heart gives approx 40-50 cc shards. But it takes so long it's not worth it imho.
The most I got at the end battle in Strength of Snow is 16.

I am going for both sweet tooth and party titles, but doing the Strength of Snow quest because it's a lot less frustrating and I can run 2 accts at the same time with no real time loss between the two ^_^
Not even speaking of the bigger chance of the polar bear

Last year, I did 493 runs trying to get one. This year, I have a hard time sticking with it for more than three or four runs at a time. Only 19 runs so far. Wish I could farm ectos, I could buy one faster than getting it as a drop.

Spent all night last night doing runs. More today. 5 stacks of cc's so far (I'm not the fastest as I like to kill them all otherwise it's BORING....well....more boring than doing it over and over.
So far no bear, but lots of CC's and other goodies.
