And too bad you didn't make that TF2 propaganda earlier. I think they had some sort of contest exactly like that a while back. Yeah, it's going to be a doozy of a project.
And the contest they had was for the Demoman vs. Soldier update. Good stuff.

Ooh, the TF2 posters are awesome.
They look like something the game designers would make. Very nice.
Also, good luck with all the school work! Needing to be creative with a whole mound of stuff to do is sometimes very stressful. I graduated from a graphic design school two years ago, and I still remember the feeling of being buried under illustration/animation projects. Still, it's all good if it helps to improve and if it stays fun.

Yeah, it is pretty stressful. It's actually a bit annoying that the class (foundation CG) these posters are made for assigns twice as more work than my upper division studios. Very irritating having to spend so much time on all these wimpy projects when I'd rather be focusing on my Anatomy class.
EDIT
Another foundation CG related project. Fun with layer masks, brushes, and an old drawing from last year. About 30-45 mins of work or so.
Book cover to my portfolio I'll have to show the class at the end of the year.

Nice. And it works as a book cover too, I like the use of white space to make the fighters pop out more. Good use of an older drawing.
Aw, I wish we'd had proper anatomy lessons... or even proper concept art class. I went into that school hoping to brush up my concept art skills, and they ended up teaching me everything but that.

Ha, I remember that picture. I think that's when I first found out about you/met you and I remember thinking, "Holy crap, what amazing artist where did he come from omgomg" etc.

Grrrrr, I'm mad!
Silly wippie. I'll be using this expression for my anatomy portrait. Because the way printing digital pictures works, your work should be at least 300 dpi - which in turn dramatically increases the size of your canvas. So instead of this being a 1:1 ratio of my face, it instead spreads out to about 3-4 feet on my tv screen. It's honestly a HUGE pain in the ass to paint something this large.
Anyways, I still need to play around with coloring and all the rest of the shading. But whatevs.

I already find A4 size in 300dpi too large xD I must give credits for your computer too though, mine would already slapped me in the face and woulda turned lazy. btw one tip I could give is draw in 2 windows. With photoshop you can open the image in 2 windows (not very useful when you have a small screen though) so you can keep 1 zoomed and 1 zoomed out, that way you can easily see how details are looking from a distance without needing to zoom in and out again.

Well, you don't always have to be zoomed in to paint it.... *puts on Captain Obvious-hat* :P
I always work at 300-400 dpi, since you never know when you might need to print out your work all nice and pretty. And then when you want to spend hours on that elusive microdetail, it's always good to be able to zoom really close without making it all blurry.
Are you doing the 5'6 self-portrait on the computer though? Now THAT would be a huge-ass painting. I think my computer would just curl up and die a thousand deaths even at the thought.
The face is looking good so far!
