Sweet everybody.. Yesterday I got the news that I did not pass my last test. This upset my quite a bit, not because I did not pass the test, but more so because I had no reason not to pass it. I came to the insight that I do not do enough with my life. I want to make my time more productive. I oftenly find myself telling myself I'm going to draw and then after a few stripes I go something else (I'm sure a lot of you here find this familiar 
). This something else is 90% of the time gwg. And at the end of the day I wonder what I really did that day, oftenly coming the conclusion along the lines of putting 10 stripes down in photoshop, walking the dog twice a day and cookies for my parents and reading 10 pages for college. This oftenly leaves like a gab of quite some hours; internet. And I'm just gonna say it out here; I'm addicted to you folks. And like an alcoholic, you can't give me just one glass, because I will take the whole bottle. So I decided to leave these parts of the internet for a while, because I think that will really give me less destraction from all the other things I should be doing all day. I just want to do more, I just lack the initiative. I think this pretty much describes how I feel. Therefor I decided to put guildwarsguru in my banned internetsites for a while, to keep myself from popping up here again all the time, see if that helps. So this will probably will be one of my last comments on these boards for a while, you'll just have to live without them for a while I will still be able to receive pm's so if there is anything you can always reach me. And for the ones truely interested in what I do, I will keep submitting finished works in dA. And you can always add me on msn if you like, just pm me for my adress. Well.. take care all, keep up the good work!

Ok lol, the reason I was so sad that I did not pass the test was for a big part because I was feeling to good about it, really thought I woulda passed it. Friday I got noticiation (only checked it today, silly me), that there has been some mistake and that I passed, even with quite a good degree ^^ So thank you for all the kind words, but the sad faces can be a bit less sad. Still won't be around as much as I used to, since my other point still stands, but I find that I can at least have some posts every now and then in here ^^. Lol now that I look back at all the sweet comments it feels really strange because I have not really left. RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO my teacher for messing up my grades.

It's good to hear that you didn't actually bomb your test. Teacher mistakes are always the most frustrating, especially if they don't realize they screwed up until well after you're worried.
The gorilla looks great Still looking forward to the innapropriate cow, but anything in that style is more than welcome. Is there a certain kind of brush your using to get the soft, yet paintbrush-y type feel? Or is that just raw Tommy Talent(TM)?

False alarm then. I'm glad to hear you're not completely disappearing on us, but I do understand that irl comes first. To be honest, when I'm home I spend a little too much time here too... then again, it hasn't gotten to the point of being too big of a problem.

The monkey looks funny, in a good way! I love his little bananas and the sunglasses - I could definitely see him as a children's book character. The Guild Wars drawing looks awesome too, although perhaps a little shadow under their feet would make them look more grounded and less floaty. :3 Their dancing is so happy and cheerful it makes me smile too.

Tommy, I am so glad that turned out to be a mistake but, my goodness, what an appalling mistake. For some people news like that can be so devasting they do something silly, I do hope your college takes that sort of thing seriously.

And Mr.Redpandawhowasbeforebiggiantawesomepandavatar, I do use a specifi brush for it, but any rough (semi square with raffled sides) brush with wed edges (photoshop effect) would do the job I think If you'd like I could upload some of my most frequently used brushes if anyone likes it. Most of them won't be mine though.

What program you use? I use Photoshop CS5, don't know for which versions they are available, I believe CS3 onwards.

i like some of the texture brushes, especially the one that sort of looks like wrinkled plastic wrap... i could see it looking good for dirts at the right quanities. ^^

Started doodling a bit on Nians art trade (who has the flue at the moment, so all send good thoughts!) but I have no ref, believe the monk had blue fow though So a bit of speedie here, 1 hour, gonna refine once I'm sure about her looks

I believe her legs may be too big. Could be the pants because I don't know what they look like; right now they sort of look like parachute pants. It's hard to tell with no feet, but they end around mid shin, correct? They feel like they go to the knee cap (giving her legs larger than her torso) since they dont feel like they have a distinct bend anywhere (to show where the kne cap is).
The details are looking really good though ^^

I agree with Death that the legs look big, though I think that's mainly because of the proportions of the torso. It looks a bit small right now.
