What would everyone do without Discord?

What would everyone do if Discord was suddenly massively nerfed or removed from the game? Seriously? I think at least half of the people playing the game would all of a sudden suck. It seems like every single time I group up with someone in GW they either already have Olias, Livia, and Whispers in their group or they add them shortly after a few people join. Do people even know how to play this game without Discord?

I use Discord heroes if I think its going to be most effective, and quite often it is. But I have plenty of other hero builds to suit other places/situations.

I'm not going to avoid using Discord just for snobbery. Or to prove that I can play without it.

they would wait til the next op gimmick build appears on pvxwiki and then copy that and run it.

Wouldn't bother me...I already don't use it cause I'm too lazy to unlock the skills.

Nothing. Or rather, I'd go on about my merry self. I don't use discord as there's a lot of other things out there that are up there and better than discord.

Discordway Sucks. Try using it in WIK. People use it because they can't make their own builds.

i use discord, but thats cuz i'm pretty slow cuz of an accident long ago
discord helps me through alot of stuff
however, should they kill discord, i can try my own heroes, as i dont wanna use spiritway, and with the upcoming full hero teams, i already was planning to do that anyway

for me, not much will change, i just gotta make new builds if this happens, thats all

^This. I admit I used to use it, up until I realized just how "not godly" it actually is. Come up against anything with good hex/condition removal and the build is crippled.

As for what would happen if Discord was nerfed...everyone would use Spiritway instead.

If it gets nerfed, just go sabway =)

Never used it. The whole fun of GW for me is using your head, experimenting and trying your own ideas out.

i only just started using discord a few months ago because i decided to give it a try, before that i used my own builds for panic, nuker, monking, or whatever i needed for the area and it was no problem. discord is just faster and easier, but if it went away it wouldnt be that big of a blow

Id move on to SF eles and a TOF! Para.

That or stop playing pve all together.

I would start using Fevered Dreams, Extend Conditions, and Virulence on heroes with Fragility. I would use YMLaD and AP with EVAS and Sig. of Infection.

The main thing about Discord that people seem to lose sight of is when you are VQ'ing you can use it for 80% of your VQ's. That is SO useful when you aren't having to switch up your hero builds and runes a lot when you are trying to do something that is already time consuming.

To the OP: People wouldn't suck. If they nerfed Discord, people would adapt. There just hasn't been a major skill update in so long that people don't need to change anything up. Also, what do you care what people run? It's not people's fault that they use something that works and that ANet hasn't given us a meaty skill update in ages. Also, it's pretty lolz coming from someone who has Livia for their avatar.

SF sucks against most mobs in HM, and against condition removal. You do 75% of listed damage tops, with fire magic. You'd need Spirit Rift/Weaken armor to see respectable numbers.

Regardless, I never use Discord.

Same thing I've always done, because I've never used Discord.

No problem..used Discord only when i started to vanquish....sabway or custom hero skillbar are much better, expecially if u are able to create the optimal team build for the area....

P.S:try discord in 4-men Old Ascalon areas...

In H/H setup Discord is closely tied with the AP Caller. In fact it's the only real reason to run discord over better DPS options like spirits or mesmer AoE... but the ability to summon 5 assassins at a time is far from trivial. So if Discord vanished you'd probably see AP builds in H/H setups lose popularity (albeit said builds would be far from dead.)

Never used a Discord build at all.

Right now, I'd worry most about nerfing Fast casting, since it has finally given mesmers what they needed - the ability to affect more than one enemy in the group.
