I am waiting to see the next generation of A/D or D/A to abuse the new skills with SF.
If the mesmer update was any indicator, expect the D to be borderline broken. But to me, anything to breathe a little life into to game would be appreciated and good. Make sure you get your nightfall vanquishes before this hits or you could be in a new world of pain with aoe dervishes and heros bunching together. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of rezzes in the desolations. |

Reap Impurities is a brand new, self-packaged Splinter Weapon. Expect it in SCs. Think Enfeebling Blood --> Reap Impurities for good synergy with a hero bar. And I'm sure there will be many more. Please, ANet, give the Dervish their time in the spotlight. Feel free to break the heck out of the class. |

Not really. We already have instant cast skills in the game - flash enchantments are basically just moving around the triggers on existing mechanics. Moving while casting, however, may be something that the GW1 engine simply can't handle - correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's any skill currently in the game with an activation time that can be used while moving.

[...]Necros got life steal, monks had holy damage and have a stronghold on healing/protection (even if others get access to it, they'll never take the monk's uniqueness in that), assassins have dual attacks (may be tied to daggers but it's as unique to assassins as anything not under the primary for every profession) and shadowstepping, mesmers got energy steal, ritualists got situational sacrifices (so necro got some uniqueness to that, plus necro sacs are mostly 1e now), Paragons also have echos, and dervishes had(have?) multi-target scythes.[...]

To realize these goals, we altered over 90% of the Dervish skills in the game. |

Yay! I loved my dervish main for many reasons (ok, because I love how she looks :P), but the "stopping to cast" drove me bonkers. Was getting close to switching my main to one of my warriors. The addition of flash enchantments is exactly what I needed to keep me from doing that. So so excited about this change.

P.S. Bonded Dervs juggling chants can now remove only their personal enchantments. VoS recast time covered by Lyssa's Haste?

Now all I need for perfect character sexiness is for these new changes to allow for a viable non-avatar dagger-derv playstyle (possible), and for Shiro's daggers requirement to be lowered to 12 dagger mastery (yeah, right). /sigh A girl can dream. |

Unimpressed by the preview. NOT what they're changing as for the most part it's good, but then it has been like 6months since we've seen a real update. They could have at least told us which skills were going to cost adrenaline and if the scythe itself (when they talk about changing scythe damage to the mean through skills or inherantly?). Bit brief and it would have been completely appropriate if they gave us at least an ETA seeing as it's taken so long.
