Did I read 'account' instead of 'character' ?

I wonder if this is a one-time thing, in that once you've selected what prof razah should be, he's stuck with that selection?

i love the tonic idea...for the HM quests, is it just the same as nm just in hm? doesnt seem too fun for me, razah can be any profession(umm cool i guess...)

"This anniversary update finally brings poor Razah the ability to live up to his potential, and you can now change his profession. Simply head out into the Heart of Abaddon (without Razah in your party), find Razah, and tell him what profession you'd like him to be. Congratulations, Razah!"

It doesn't sound like changing Razah's primary is going to be as easy or convenient as many of us would have wished though.

You mean you have to get him again every time you want to change him? o:

We get a new Ritualist hero from the new Cantha content?

Maybe after completing his quest the first time will cause nothing to spawn in his area? *crosses fingers* But then again, I liked Razah as a Rit and that's how I'll continue to use him as.

You're going to have to re-rune/equip him anyway, it's not that convenient regardless.

If a 3rd rit hero ever arrives then yes, after grinding through winds of change, razah will be everyone's 3rd mesmer. If they really want to shut up the "merc advantage" crowd though, MOX is fairly undefined and also intended to be switchable profession at one point. Also kindof big and ugly so people will still be willing to pay for a prettier merc...

Normally I'd be concerned about this "flux" going into effect right before the mAT, but with dervs still running amok it doesn't really matter. Curious what effect they could implement that would work across all formats, without being random skill adjustments or bannings that would seem ill advised for monthly duration.

Costume maker in pre... yeaaaahhh! Now my baby ranger can look a little more stylish!

Still not sure about those HM quests. The rewards are gonna have to be pretty damn amazing to make me even think of doing them if they are just slightly harder versions of the quests I already completed ages ago. If they are actually challenging, sure... but I know how Anet likes to cater to the people that haven't changed their skillbars since 2005.

Edit: So i guess it's been confirmed that Rurik is gonna be one of the tonics. Might wanna carry a rez or some scrolls if you haven't been already! You never know when the smartass with the Rurik tonic is gonna join your group and wander into a mob.

Except that those didn't change the difficulty of the area or the spawns or what have you, this is actually new content implemented through existing quests.

I don't know much about rewards, but the thrill of doing a quest like Galrath again has got me excited

Did you get Prince Rurik? There's a very good chance that someone out there really wants him -- so that he too can be reminiscing about spending much time in these lands as a boy.
Best part of the interview, I lol'd.

It might not be so bad because most builds can run off of energy and health runes/insignias. The only big change, at least for most of my builds, would be the headpiece. Also, you don't have to worry about breaking the armor when salvaging on heroes.
