Well since it looks like no one else is going to take a melee char, I am going to start a proph warrior, WHICH, I will MUCH regret later on down the line, but eh.

Amy Awien
I thought you wanted a necro? Pick something you like to play, melee is not a necessity, we already have two rangers, with pets I assume, and no real AoE nukers as far as I can tell.

I don't really like necro's, just wanted to try. Got annoying at level 3 lol. I'm sure I'll try more than 1 class eventually.
SValiant
Just been thinking about it, and like people have said we're going to need to play more defensively, the warrior might actually be surprisingly good, just run a sort of stance tank build

Dayquil
Ok guys. The guild name voting is over, even though it was technically over yesterday morning lol.
Guild Name: Only Death Can Stop Us [QED]
I will be buying this in the next few mins.
Next up - What faction to choose.
---------
UPDATE: Guild name is bought and paid for. I have sent out invites, 3 people are in guilds already, so just leave a message whenever you're ready for your invite.

Ok, I''ll say goodbye to my guild.
Kurzick has my preference, I am at level 6 (steward?) or so. Not a big deal, if someone is at 8 Luxon and wants to pursue that title.
We now have (in order of character appearance):
* Not A Standard Name with an Elementalist named "Survival Style" in Pre-searing
* Perkunas with a Ranger named "Terrified Theresa" in Pre.
* Amy Awien with a Mesmer named "Shattering Sheila" and a monk named Shielding Sheila, both in Pre
* SValiant with a Ranger named "Nuzlocke Valiant" in Pre.
* Dayquil with a Warrior named "Early Jasmine Mist" in Pre
Not started yet(?)

Kurzick has my vote too.
Also don't we need a hall before we get a faction? Either way I've already bought the sigil for when we decide

I am a leader of the best guild in the world, so I am not interested in leaving it. In-game or on here is fine. Guild wise, you don't have to leave your's at all.
Forum might be best and I can add you to our list.

Since our thread has been moved, I know we are getting a lot fewer views, which is what it is. We have a total of 5-6 people playing so far, a guild and guild hall (working on npc's).
We are always looking for more people to join/try this new and different look at GW before GW2 comes out.
If you are interested in joining the guild, or just want your name added to our list of attendee's, feel free to msg me in-game IGN Black Jasmine Mist, leave a post on this thread, or send me a PM on guru.
Thanks for stopping by and make sure you're careful out there!

Awesome, welcome to the "program". If you'd like a guild invite, leave a msg and we'll get you one. If you want to recruit make a proper guild recruitment thread. The OP in this one does not belong there so I have removed the post. Dayquil InStars
Started and contacted you In Game.

More than 3100 views at this posting. Can we get anyone else to join with us in this venture? We will probably want/need some assistance with missions once we get further into the campaigns.
Friend and contact us in game. Guild membership is not required, but would help with communications. And you can continue with your other characters' progressions as well. This does not need to be full time survivor play. Accept the challenge and join us. Guild Leader - Black Jasmine Mist Officer - Nuzlocke Valiant Officer - Theresa the Angry Perkunas
Terrified Theresa has reached the jungle. Level 17 with a hearty lvl 16 stalker, Proud Paw. She is using a collector Ascalon Recurve Bow, 14-26 damage. She has completed 10 missions, with only 1 undone bonus, Frost Gate. Only 2 quests have been left undone up to this point, Althea's Ashes and Villainy of Galrath.
Clad in her 49 armor leather outfit, she is currently exploring the area, in hopes that some of the rest of her friends will catch up. Once she reaches Henge of Denravi, she plans to return to Hot Springs and journey to Temple of Ages and on to Sanctum Cay and Riverside Province. Her current traveling companions have gotten spanked pretty hard in a few battles, but they press on, never complaining, except for Orion, who did complain about singeing his hair once. Dayquil
Black Jasmine Mist has been on semi-hiatus the last few days. She is currently level 9 and has only finished 2 missions so far. She has managed to find her way to Ruins of Surmia, although her and her team almost met their doom right in front of the portal.
She is equipped with the char shield from pre, along with the Rinblade and the collector armor from there. She is always running around with Foobar, her lvl 9 stalker who just wants to eat charr for lunch. Perkunas
Tonight a huge cheer went up in the White Mantles' camps through out the Maguuma Jungle.
While approaching Henge of Denravi from the south, Terrified Theresa's party was ambushed by several River Skale and Wind Riders from below the root bridge they were crossing. After being hemmed by River Skale, Theresa's party being unable to move forward or to retreat, the Wind Riders unleashed back to back to back Maelstrom attacks with rotting flesh from the skale. Alesia was the first to fall. After a valiant effort, Terrified Theresa went down fighting as did Proud Paw. Theresa was level 18 and Proud Paw was level 17. Her surviving companions, gave them a proper burial. They also buried all she had with her. List of personal items buried: 21,110 gold, 1 Ascalon Recurve, 1 Ascalon Longbow, 6 fur squares, 28 plant fibers, 31 cloth, 104 tanned hide squares, 164 wood planks, 146 iron ingots, 86 glittering dust, 133 granite slabs, 16 charr hides, 13 charr carvings, 13 stone summit badges, 10 decayed orr emblems, 1 Radiant Insignia, 1 Frostbound insignia, and 1 Superior Vigor rune. Also buried was an expert salvage kit with 13 uses left and an ID kit with 8 uses left. May she rest in peace. Theresa the Angry will now begin the journey. Another Ranger following in Theresa's footsteps. Amy Awien
This news saddens me greatly, you had come so far already.
Savage Sheila mourns Theresa's death and will burn many Charr Carvings to remember her. Dayquil
Awww Theresa had gotten so far! I had very high hopes for you, I know that many many grawl, charr and other various mobs will all burn a slow death in return for this!

I was 15 years old, and remember like it was yesterday, the day my cousin Terrified Theresa set out to take on the world. The young woman that grew up being terrified of every creepy, crawly thing, leaving home to join the Academy. She said before leaving, ???We all die at some point in time. It is how you die and how people remember you that matters.??? That was more than five years ago.
It was almost a month ago when I heard of her death in a place I had never heard of. I felt pained at first, thinking she had died doing what she wanted to be doing. As the days passed, I begin to think maybe she didn't die as she had wanted, an honorable death, bravely facing an enemy of the people. She was being pursued by an enemy that had posed as a friend, and was shamelessly ambushed by some forest creatures. The pain I felt at first, began to turn into anger. I decided to seek out those who had trained her before she left, wanting the same training she had been given. They taught me the same skills she had learned, but told me that I had to gain experience on my own. They told me what she had done to gain the strength and endurance and the experience needed to react correctly in all situations. They showed me on a map, five areas where a certain flower grew. She would go to each area everyday and pick one of these flowers, killing all bandits, giant worms, river skale, grawl, and any other wild beast that tried to do her harm. For the past month, this has been what I have done. I have also ventured into Wizard's Folly, killing bandits and bears. With each passing day, I have gotten stronger and better with my weapons and skills. Among the people of the area, I have become known as Theresa the Angry. Today, I join the Academy, and begin my journey to a land known as the Maguuma Jungle, to bring to justice those and their kin, who are responsible for my cousin's death. Signed, Theresa the Angry Perkunas
With my two year obligation to the Vanguard behind me, it is time to look to the west, but the local citizens still need my help. The Charr I had fought against while in the Vanguard, are still pressing against the Wall that had held for so many centuries. Coming through breaches created by magics still not understood by the Ascalonians, then being pushed back. I am torn between my calling to the west, and staying to help fight, what the Prince is calling a lost cause.
After spying out the Charr army, retreating to Fort Ranik, then driving the Charr back north, we rescued several prisoners of the Charr. While on a rescue mission, the Prince found a piece of an ancient weapon once used against the Charr. Even though I know nothing about this weapon, and with the Prince not taking the time to explain it, I agreed to escort him to its location. Should I survive this day, I swear that I will go west. Signed, Theresa the Angry Perkunas
(After a couple of days with connection issues, I am back on track.)
Our mission to defend Nolani Academy and escort Prince Rurik to the Stormcaller was successful. The Charr that were attacking Rin were defeated. The Prince and his father, the King, disagreed as to how to deal with the Charr. As a result of this disagreement, I am now helping the Prince lead refugees across the Shiverpeak mountains to Kyrta. My party and I have reached Beacon's Perch safely. Crossing the mountains was a treacherous journey. Many people have lost their lives, including the Prince. Now, everyone looks to me to lead the caravan on. Refugees are scattered all across the mountains. I have patrols searching for the refugees and rounding up a few deserters. Scouts report that we must pass through an ice cave to continue our journey to Kryta. There is a small military contingency there to guide travelers through the cave. Once everyone is rested and as many refugees as we can find have been rounded up, we will push on into Kryta. Dayquil
Just a quick, small, update for me.
I have been super busy with work and getting ready to move tomorrow(Saturday) that I haven't been able to log my survivor character much this week, much less play her. On another sidenote, I got my main account hacked last night, so that has added to the "blah"ness of the last few days of packing and work. Hopefully by around Monday or Tuesday, I will be able to start playing Black Jasmine Mist a little more and get back into getting her to/through Prophecies. Good luck to all involved, and we are still hoping/looking for more players to get into this type of GW playstyle. Remember: "Just have fun, don't sweat the small stuff!" Amy Awien
Savage Sheila is in Kryta, just got the Blankets-Bow, and on her way to the jungle. Both her and her companion Mercy are now Level 17, experience gain is slow though.
Perkunas
I have lost all track of time. I have no idea, how long I have been away from my home in Ascalon City. The two years with the Vanguard, the time crossing the Shiverpeaks, how long was that? Once we reached Kryta, I spent weeks, negotiating with the Krytan council, locating a place for the refugees to live.
And then there is the White Mantle. The so called friends, that turned on my cousin, or to hear them say it, she turned on them. Terrified Theresa had made an impression on them. They talk about her to this day. She was a fierce fighter, both as an ally and when she turned against them. Many of the White Mantle died at her hands. I now understand why Theresa had turned against the White Mantle. There is an ancient Prophecy that says a ???chosen??? one will bring down the ???Unseen Ones???. It seems that these unseen ones are behind most of Tyria's troubles. The Charr uprising, the undead swarms around Kyrta, and others across the continents. The White Mantle were locating and gathering these chosen, under the guise of protecting them and educating them in preparation for their calling. The Shining Blade, a militant group that knows the true purpose behind these gatherings, had killed the escort troops and kidnapped a group of chosen as they were being taken into the Maguuma Jungle. The White Mantle assigned me to pursue this group and return the chosen. What I discovered in the jungle angered me deeply. I will never forget the day nor forgive the hand that took the lives of the innocent chosen. The soul of the Justiciar that I and my troop killed that day will never know peace in the hereafter. I am now hiding and running from the White Mantle. Anyone suspected of assisting me in anyway, is being executed with no mercy. I must be careful to not involve the innocent. The Shining Blade has a person on the inside of the White Mantle. They asked me to meet up with this person in Riverside Province and get a special scepter. I was successful in retrieving this scepter and delivering it to the Shining Blade. We are now seeking passage off of the mainland. Signed, Theresa the Angry level 18, with level 18 Hearty Stalker Perkunas
When you anger the White Mantle, you'd better be ready to die, or run like the wind. I chose to run. I sought and found passage to Amnoon Oasis, only to find out I am one of the "chosen" spoken of in the Prophecy. An obligation I don't think I can handle.
After stocking up on supplies and hiring a guide, I set out from Amnoon Oasis to explore the desert. The first place we arrived at is know as Augury Rock. A group of spirits there told me of three tasks that I must complete to gain the attention of the gods. It is up to me, to locate where these tasks are to take place, so I am exploring the desert. So far, I have located the outposts, Seeker's Passage, Destiny's Gorge, and Hero's Audience. The three places I am seeking are called Dunes of Despair, Thirsty River, and Elona Reach. It is as much about the journey as it is about the goals. The beasts of the area are beyond any I have encountered before arriving here. How I have survived to this point (level 20, R1 survivor) is beyond me. Many of my party have died. It is almost in desperation that I reach the next outpost before I join them in the grave. I have been told to seek out a Forgotten One, Sariss Yassith. He may hold the secret to surviving this desolate place. Signed, Theresa the Angry |
