Guild Wars Survivor Style

I, Theresa the Angry, do hereby surrender. The Crystal Desert is stronger than me and my henchmen party. No amount of studying the movements of our enemy, nor of careful pulling has allowed my party to advance much beyond the last update. A party of uncontrollable level 17 henchmen in a territory full of level 20+ bad guys, is a suicide waiting for a place to occur. By the time you engage a second or third group of hydras, the henchmen are nothing more than ???one hit wonders.???

Of the eight others that accepted this challenge, two have made good progress. One will soon be reaching the desert, and a second is not too far behind. As for most of the others, I have no idea what has happened to them. I know life has priority over a game, and I also know most do not have the time to commit that I have, but when you do log on, I ask that you commit some time to the challenge you accepted.

Until such time that my fellow challengers reach the Crystal Desert, I will be cowering in Augury Rock.

I have just received a letter from a roaming traveler. He said that it was very urgent that I read it, so I did. It was from an old friend of mine, Theresa the Angry. I have not heard from her in awhile, but I have also not sent any form of communication to her or the others either.

I have come down with some strange illness as of late, not sure where I got it from, nor how long it will last. I only know that I try to make it through each day, push through the pain so that I might rejoin in the ranks of my fellow men.

The last few days have been a little better, my strength has slowly returned, little by little, but something strange happened. As I was reading Theresa's letter, I felt a surge of energy that just compelled me to fight. Almost as quickly as this illness had arrived, it seemed to have gone after reading about her trials and accomplishments. I'm not sure how or why this happened, but I am very thankful I had received this today, as I was starting to lose the edge I had learned and started to master.

I am packing up my things, and preparing to head to battle tomorrow. The road ahead will be very dangerous, treacherous and terrifying, but I know that since my fellow men have made it as far as the Crystal Desert, that I have a good chance as well to meet up with them once again.

I have now arrived in Droks.

While attempting to pull the Murssat and Jades out of the fortress, during the Ring of Fire mission, a breakdown in communications occurred somewhere between my computer and the GW servers. The game froze for almost 10 seconds. When play resumed, Theresa the Angry was dead on the ground. She had 255,496 experience at the time of her passing.

I hereby withdraw from the Survivor Challenge. It was fun and challenging. Time to try something else for awhile.

Sorry to hear about Savage Sheila. I had a near miss in Iron Mines, know the feeling of being singled out.

Done this mission too often for infusion and this never happened, I always could run passed those first couple of infighting mobs till you get on the ice.
And until this it was mostly uneventfull and actually easier then I remember, except for Thirsty River and Elona Reach.

I'm level 15 and still in the beginning of the Maguuma Jungle. I tried to skip The Wilds but high level mobs on the radar made me reconsider. Guess I'll have to just do it now...

I just died in the Crystal Desert at level 17 due to trash mobs. I accidently lured two groups, my monks died. I made my escape early but slowly bled to death just before reaching the portal.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that another has died. Is anyone still trying to advance a character?

Yes, Chaks Noriss has done most of the eotn - need to do G.O.L.E.M., Assault The Stronghold and Dwarf missions. Still in LA at Proph though.

I died today in Magumma Jungle

Was a fun challenge though - anyway, I won't be doing this agian for now...

The magumma jungle has claimed many a survivor. Sorry to hear about the last one falling.

Ok, I guess I will try this one more time. I will be on a different account than the one I first tried it on. The character attempting it is Theresa the Wild, a R/Mo from out of Prophecies. As of this posting, she is level 6 and helping farm items for Nicholas Sanford in pre. In two days, I will have 250 Gifts of the Hunter to bring post and that is when Theresa will be coming to post, delivering the gifts to my other account. Will update her progress about every fourth mission.
