That's definitely an annoying one, although my vote goes for: "The Last Hog" in Kryta where you have to painfully maneuver that stupid pig all the way back to the Ascalon settlement, whilst stopping to fight ettins, and then afterwords trying to figure out where the little porker went off to.
It's not a long quest, it's not a difficult quest: but damn It's annoying. Too bad it usually gives good skills as quest reward, or i'd forget it altogether.

yeah that quest sucked. I've never done it, but a guildie needed help with it. took us much longer than I expected, if I'd know that I would have done dropping eaves first, hadn't done that yet, now I have blood and smoke active while I've done the quest
cities of ascalon sucks too, especially the ruins of surmia part. without prince rurik it would've been so much easier.. now you have to kill everything.

any mission that has a cut scene that people wont skip...either that or any of the ascention quests that you have to listen to the ghostly 3 pack a day smoker speak...does the swinging arm girl in the free ipod ad abouve count?

^ That's just annoying people.
I vote for "Last Hog". Middle of nowhere, pretty good rewards, and really annoying mob spawns. I'm so glad I figured out how to get that pig to go where I want him to.

You can get the hearts before you go talk to the oak. But, i agree, that was an annoying quest.
Villany of Galrath.

blood and smoke !! all the way, that was so stupid needing to kill a same place 3 times, bah
Cherno
Blood and Smoke isn't bad at all.... If you kill the guy on the way down. You can easily do that if you take the path to the left, and then when you get down to talk to the druid you will already have the item.
Most annoying is probably the Helping the Dwarves. You have to go and get the guy, and go back. Then zone and kill the boss and get the plans. And go back. Then zone again and go torch the towers, and go back.
I kind of like doing the pig quest. I am a good wrangler, and as long as you just have one person doing it, and you don't run into Ettins, it is pretty easy.
Mysterious Message is another annoying one because it seems like it never ends.
Duke's Daughter can be very frustrating because sometimes she spawns on that platform behind that huge mass of charr.
Pre searing quest with Devona to wipe out those grawl across the bridge always winds up with a death for me because Devona goes into A.D.D mode and decides to either not attack and admire her hammer or starts attacking random scale along the side.

i love the last hog quest. i do it 5 or 6 times a day. i never accept the reward but i do the quest.
aB-
Agreed with helping the dwarves. I never actually complete those quests which offer so little exp.
Fantus
Blood and Smoke and the Shiverpeak Mines triple quest
Lowly Peasant
I can't stand Helping the Dwarves, maybe if the damn guy wasn't on the other side of the portal so that you didn't have to kill the same mobs every time you have to go back.

Familly ties, a lot of work for no reward -_-

Wow.. guess people like lazy short quests or something. Most of the ones mentioned here are the nice long ones that actually take some time to complete. Personally I'd like to see more Villiany of Galrath type of quests. The longer the better, it's nice that it actually takes some time and coordination to do. As for Helping the Dwarves when you have to re-zone multiple times... again, at least it takes some time and you actually have to do something to earn the reward. Personally I woudn't mind it if each subsequent time the spawn points changed randomly, and insert a few random bosses. But guess that's just me.
Yeah, people that complain about "People won't skip the cutscene.. I've seen it thousands of times" - now that's annoying. Again to clarify, that's the people complaining about the people that want to watch the cutscenes.

Blood and Smoke, Althea's Ashes, Helping the Dwarves...those are my top 3, but mind you i dont do ashes anymore, i buy them for like 50 gold...but back when i did that quest, man i had 60 dp before we finished

The most annoying quests ever, are the ones where you just have to talk to some fool in some town. Being in town is more annoying than being outside, questing, with all the "LFG! FARM! WTS! WTB!" and the sheer number of people I see.
Of course, I'm a bit sour
Cheers!

I don't like blood and smoke. It's so long, and I usually like to do longer quests with people rather than henchies, but it's harder to find a group for it than for other long quests (e.g. galrath) so I end up henching it anyway, and its boring.
But the award for most annoying quest has to go to the last hog. It's so aggravating and stupid I've never actually bothered to finish it. It's easier and quicker just to farm gold to buy the skills than to herd that damn pig.

Red Cloaked Deserters. Even the blood and smoke quests are positively enjoyable in contrast.
Altheas Ashes is even fun. Or used to be, before ANet nerfed it and lowered the number of charr and increased the distance between the charr groups.

any quest around ascalon settlement. Dunno why, I just really hate fighting there. It's ok from beetletun with my ranger coz i solo there anyway, but any of my other chars from any direction, or my ranger from LA I just hate getting there (darn those tengu in that large green area in the middle)
Sir Skullcrasher
everyone must agree with me but all the quests in the jungle areas are a pain in the butt to do!

Villainy.
By the way, if no one has mentioned it, in Blood and Smoke, all you have to do is when you get to the next to last zone, whatever it's called, go left and kill the Centaur boss first, and it'll drop the heart. Then proceed as normal. You don't have to make two trips.

About the pig quest: you do all realize it is about as hard as snapping two peices of lego together right? If you walk up behind him he will eventually dart off running in exactly the opposite direction to where you are standing. Knowing this it becomes simply simple to 'steer' him in the right direction. Save for the killing of the Ettins that spawn, this quest can be accomplished in under 5 minutes easy.
Unless they've changed things since I've done it...
If you really want practice, go into Pre-searing and help herd all the piggies into the pen there. If you get enough (5 of them), the Farmer guy will give you 25 gold coin! Woot!

Capitan Del Queso
Another tip for the pig quest: one thing i've found that helps is doing it at the same time as the quest where you collect up devona, mhenlo, and the other goons outside LA. Not only does having them in tow make getting to the ascalon settlement as easy as falling off a log, i've found that having that many more people swarmed behind you seems to help herd the pig in the general direction you want it to go. The times it becomes a major pain in the arse is when the pig reflects off some non-passable corner or point at a ridiculous angle and gets going the wrong damn way! That or stuck on a dead-end precipice area. yeesh.
MadOnion
Blood and Smoke doesn't take long if you do it right. Just don't take the right (direction) path on the way to dark oak, and instead go down the tree trunk, kill the boss for bloody remains, go back to the old path, speak to dark oak, and you're done.

Everything in Maguuma is pretty easy if you go as a MM. Lots of fleshy enemies = lots of minions and then you just steamroll everything.
My choice would be the Helping the Dwarves trio. Annoying without any challenge.

The mission when you have to use the catapult, i think ruins of surmia. It is so boring and i hate ascalon.
Prefectus

Also, the other one (that you kill) is really out of the way. Most of the ascalon quests are in the same general area and you could do them in one go, but the second part of this quest is out of the way.

Everything in Maguuma Jungle. Devourers coming out of the ground and spiders coming down from the sky gets very annoying and old.
The only thing I like about Maguuma Jungle is the end of Wisdom of the Druids. That waterfall is awesome.

Defend North Kryta Province.
Of all the stupid silly quests in the game, it takes the cake as being the "most annoying."
a) It's difficult to find a group in Lion's Arch where you're supposed to start the quest (party of six)
b) Therefore, everyone decides to start from ToA (party of eight), where it also takes forever to find a group
c) You'll need someone run backwards to Bergen Hot Springs/Lion's Arch if you start from ToA, and that takes forever
d) When your party gets kicked back to Lion's Arch, someone always /ragequits the 8/6 party thus making it not much better than if you had just started from Lion's Arch in the first place
e) PUGs tend to not follow the plan that everyone had agreed upon before talking to Captain Greywind
f) It's a really long and boring quest with waves and waves of plants

Blood and Smoke is so EASY compared to some of the long boring Defend quests. I say the most annoy quest I have done has to be the Sorrow's Furnace Quest with the Preist. Have at least two people defending him and the rest of the group dies for some dumb reason. Because of Oro quest that people farm (which everyone can get), no real groups for the other quests start up on the spot or anytime soon. Had to finally get my guild mates involved to do it. Had to pull some string but guild mates finally helped.
As for Blood and Smoke, take the left path. Unless they fixed it the boss still drops those dumb hearts as far as I know of.
