Erm, sorry Zexion, but having just recently scraped Rurik's path, I have to disagree with you there.

I do appreciate that it has become more difficult to do so, especially without necromancer skills. My advice? Bring along a guild friend or other who is a primary necro, have them keep a few Bone Fiends alive and then sacrifice themselves. Making sure that other party members are well outside the aggro of the fiends, when they go hostile, they'll target Rurik and his guards.

Once dead, resurrect the necro, can kill any remaining Fiends, then have the necro use necrotic traversal to jump onto the path... all that remains then is for other party members to die, eg, equip vampiric weapons, and have the necro cast Rebirth to bring you all over.

This is done at the first Siege point, btw and, since its so near the beginning, the mission itself will remain unaffected by Rurik's death, allowing you to explore at your leisure

Anyways, look at that. That was what I was refering to. So only the necrotic transversal on a wolf doesn't work anymore then... Never heard of that method though.

Necrotic traversal DOES work on a snow wolf. I did this the other day, tho minions + bip might be quicker as you don't have to do any of the mission. The only thing that changed was (I'm guessing) that the z axis increased the distance so much that even tho the target was within your agro bubble you still could not cast to it b/c of the height distance. I.e. you kill a wolf, are 100 feet up but only 5 feet to the left of it and can't traverse to it. That was fixed so that the z axis has no affect on the cast range. (Again, thats my guess but from what i can tell with using traversal it seems about right).

As to the trick using the Snow Wolf, I myself could never get the buuger to spawn in an appropriate spot, so went MM for the trip and used Blood of the Master.

Could I possibly get a copy of the 100% maps in the following resolutions:

1024x768
1280x1024
1600x1200

I am adept at Photoshop and could help compare the maps with you guys. I found a 99.7% map that I used against my own to give myself ideas of where to look. I'd be happy to help out the community.

Hey guys, I downloaded a free version of Adobe Photoship Trial, it works well however when I follow the tutorial bout how to layer using the 103% map it has no clouds and mine does which makes the bright white spots im supposed to see a diffence of hard to see. can someone either take a shot at my map or at least give me a guide for removing clouds like on the 103. ty heres my 99.1 map

(btw. I just noticed that 1280x1024 maps don't have the shading border at the left and right side.. if that's wrong I can supply a 1024x768 map, in that mode there are shading borders).

I normally don't explain how to explore a map, I leave that up to the explorer. But here's some answers for ya.

-The one at the SE Frost Gate. You do realise it is no longer possible to get on Rurik's Path, right?
If you look close you will notice the majority of what I circled can be uncovered in the SW corner. I suggest you concentrate on that.

-North and south, middle of Ice Caves
Did you try the areas north and south of what I circled?

-North mid in Mineral Springs
Not sure what the question is, did you go to this area and uncover it?

-Part in The Falls
Did you try to uncover it from the east or west side?

-SW in Thirsty River
You have to go behind the priest to uncover.

-Tar Lake between Fort Ranik and Ascalon Arena. Has it ever been possible to even explore that?
You won't be able to completely uncover the lake but you can uncover a majority of it. Try the west edge in Fort Ranik and the area around the lake itself. (see attachment "ascalon.jpg")
