Tips and Maps for 100% Tyria Exploration (No Map Checks)
Takeko Nakano
Hi there,
I've tried doing all those areas that were marked on the last map comparison I was given. But I'm still only 98.7%. I don't know how to do the Evenia bit, but she's only 0.1% so there must be a lot more to do.
I know they've changed the map, but maybe someone could use their own fully explored map, or something?

Thanks for the new maps! And the very quick response!

Dubiouse Protector, could you post a map with the path marked on how to get to this spot? and/or the techniques used?
I just spent 2 hours re-scraping GoK mission and am unable to open the majority of the sandy looking area. Thought that I may have missed a section where all the undead are camping behind Oink's place or where the last boss is but NO not there that way!!
I have your ign on my friends list but I'm sure you have better things to do than to take bunches of us out there over and over

my GUESS on that spot is that its a part of GWEN. i find it hard to believe that in a lil over 2 years no one knows of that spot, or atleast if someone knows, has never posted about it.
Crimsonfox
I would like to say it's a bit of EotN, but how'd they uncover it? But then again, I thought it would have been more documented, but maybe it is really hidden.
I'm sure we'll find out soon enough, me and a friend are yet to find anything in GoK or anywhere else.
EDIT: http://tcfish.teutonictemplar.com/map/gwen_map.jpg Must be a dev map or something.
EDIT2: Just a map with the fog removed. ^^;

Hmm my guess was that it was oinkies domain as well but sense you have explored there mabye you would care to join me? I am interested two now lol. It might be that it was added by GWEN though so we shale see!

Nah, it's just an uncovered area that can't be accessed. They've drawn the area in detail though. If you look at the map that I provided in the last post, The Wilds, Nolani Academy have huge areas uncovered that are definitely not uncovered. Just used the fog uncovering mod.

Dosn't anyone know where i can get a full size (> 5meg) Tyrian Map done since the update.
TC's map of GW:En isn't that usefull as it's a DEV map showing all the areas..
WHat i would like is just the 100%..
I'm stuck on 99.6 and am well pissed at Anet for changing the Map on me at this late stage
Thanks

Thanks Killaya.. but it dosn't really help..
I'm stuck 99.6%.. and these small 1024x Maps havn't got the detail to show me where i'm missing..
I do the Photoshop trick on them and all it shows is the Random Clouds..
I would like a full scale 5MBtyes+ peiced together map from the [u] map.
I had one that i was working off.. only for Anet to go changeg things undermy feet...
Please help me, all i need is another .4%...
Thanks

I was afraid that this would happen with the new maps, specially the lower resolution ones (like 1024x768).

There's a fog uncovering mod? Can you post a link?

I have been looking at the maps myself and some missing spots only show up as slight differences on a 400% zoomed map, while doing visual compare.

I did notice, but there is still a huge difference between explored and unexplored ground.
After you reach 100.0%, how do you know how much more is uncovered?
There is no way to be 100% certain, but when you know what you uncovered after getting 100%, you could be able to roughly calculate the value.

Player made mods there. agallor6
in some of the GWEN maps large areas are uncovered that werent before. Im assuming that it is just the uncover mod?

Can anyone help, please? See post #3724.

Did anybody notice that, with the arrival of the new Tyrian map, all of "old" Tyria is now sort of "visible" when zoomed out? Essentially, the map now looks the way it would if you explored everything, especially when zoomed out, though it looks slightly blurred if you zoom in.
Think this will make it harder or easier to map areas? I don't know if I like the change. People shouldn't be able to get a moderately detailed look at what the Ring of Fire resembles if they are in Ascalon! It just doesn't feel right. the_jos

The actual proces of exploring the way it should be done will not be any harder.
Comparing a zoomed-out non 100% map against a zoomed-out 100% map will probably be more difficult, specially for the last .5%.
This assumption is made on my own compare of two 100% maps, where one is a lot cleaner than the other.
The differences can still be seen, but are harder to notice for unexperienced comparers. Also, what to look for has been changed (for example, on the old map, there would be a spot in the water on the south east part of Gates of Kryta mission, on the new map, the difference is on the shoreline).
Mind that this is for very small spots, most fogged areas are still visible without too much problem.

Does not make a difference for me.

Could someone check out this map for me? What am I missing/how do I get to it?
Im at 99.2%...... VitulariFidicen
Hey. I posted about a week and a half ago. THanks for the help. I have now uncovered 99.6% but doing all the bits that were ringed.
However I`m having trouble as Even though I scrape and scrape at some they dont uncovered where it was ringed. In desparation I was hoping that if I posted a new map there may be an easily identifyable 0.3% that would uncontroversially uncover. Is Cantha and Elona easier to uncover than this or same? Crimsonfox
Wahey! I finally reached Tyrian GMC. ^_^ Moved onto Cantha now and, personally, finding it harder to spot areas to uncover, sespecially in the city areas, horrible piece of map. >_<
I'll have a go at some comparisons later, not sure how it's going to work out with this fancy new map. :P Oh, and it's my birthday. VitulariFidicen
actually seen that there was a bit marked on Abaddon's mouth so now 99.8%

Have a good one!, and congrats on the title.

If it was a true 100% map, it could be that your missing spots are located at the edges, while his/hers has them more in one area.I can see the following spots even on the new map, which I am not used to: - North wall of Anvil Rock - Dunes mission, bonus area - Frost Gate east wall - Beach above Gates of Kryta outpost When you compare, compare to the maps in http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10160387 post #10 and look in the list of frequently missed spots in #1 while comparing. Those maps are among the cleanest you can find and obvious missing spots are documented in #4. Agent Mold3r

Got my GmC ! Thank you everybody for the tips and encouragement.
Let me add my own re-affirmation of the tip that you really need to scrape the edges of the maps. Even if there are no foggy areas you will slowly but surely get a few tenths here and there. This is how I got my final 2%-3%. Thank you again all...don't give up! Blu
Hi could someone check my Tyria map, I'm at 98.2%. Thanks in advance.

maybe im going crazy because I cant get these parts in Thudnerhead keep. I looked all around to get them as well. Im at 97.8% I saw on a full map that the parts in the yellow box was cleared, but I cant get to them for some reason.
