heh, BUY WOW GOLD NOW ad on the site XD

I hope they make part III an fully stand alone game WITHOUT STUPID GATES

Gates are THE reason why assassins have to most difficult job (beside mesmers) to get in a PUG. People like to do a mission in one breeze, and a assassin is just an other annoying thing who likes to die to them
Getting in a PUG is simple the most impossible thing to do as an assassin ....

(my assassin is my 3rd character to do those super annoying begin missions )

Ok, it shouldn't bother me but I just can't take it anymore. Every thread that I've read about Chapter 3 has someone speculating about a spear weilding class or something like that. It is common for much of Western Society to think of Africa as a country...it's not (I know it sounds smug, but it's the truth). They said that Chapter 3 has a NORTH African theme. Northern Africa is part of the Middle East region of the world. The North African region is very different than Sub-Saharan Africa, not big on the spear-weilding voodoo doll tribes. Please take a look at an encyclopedia first, or wikipedia for that matter, then speculate. Please be respectful of other regions of the world.

Ok, now that I have that out. Based on the picture of that floating castle, I would say that the gates will still be around, only this time you'll need to access a transporter to get around.

Actually, that image never crossed my mind. I was more seeing a spear wielding warrior class like the hoplites (as in ancient Greece/Rome). Huge shield and one handed spear for thrusting like attacks; wearing scale armor/boiled leather. Since the influence of those nations did at one time influence Northen Africa after all. Maybe that was just me though... /shrug
I would like the image you painted more towards the African jungles (Southern) where the harshness of the jungle still makes for a dangerous place even today.

As for Africa being stated as a country? It is no different than anyone refering to "America" these days. Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and many more, are all part of "America"; as it too is a continent.

If this game is reduced to spear chucking, I'm out.

Reduced to?

Spears are a formidable weapon. While throwing one without more to use is not a good idea...a spear and shield are effective.

The rant unnecessary. Anet will take inspiration from all the areas in North Africa and combine it under one unique setting just like they did in Factions. Not to mention that North Africa has more than just sand and Egypt.

The floating castle sends a LOT of signals. It could mean "another species" or a more magical driven country than previous seen. Or a place that gets a lot more attention from the gods than previously experienced.

I swore not to buy another NCSoft product after they announced the Guild Wars knock off game, Aion. NCSoft blows these games out to make a quick buck, they don't care what the product is, and they are happy to make the same product under a different name.

Anet does a good job, and I am happy with them. Factions was not as good as Prophecies, but did I expect it to be? not really. Guild Wars was made in a lot more than 6 months. I am only angry with NCSoft.

So was Factions. In fact, Factions was made in twice that time. They also didn't have an engine to build or tools to make.

My understanding is that Aion uses a completely different engine (Crytek) from GW (it has true 3D, for one). That's hardly something you can "blow out" just like that.

Also, Aion is not being made by Arena Net. NCSoft's Seoul studio is in charge of it.

Where did you get the impression that it was a Guild Wars knockoff? The similarities are no more than you'd expect between any two sword and sorcery games.
