Shiro banishes the weak.

All it takes is a bit of money. Go to Shing Jea and buy a cheap set of armor. Then by four to five of the cheapest superior runes and stick them in it. This will drop your health down a lot. Try not to go below 100, but you'll want to be around that number. Then group with one warrior. Let him run in first and get agro, then run right to Shiro. He should banish you immediately.

Let me know how it works out.

PS: If you don't currently have any expensive runes in your armor, you can just put 4-5 superiors in your current armor and then replace them afterwards.

Did you get all the other places that I circled? If so try to take updated screen shots, so I can make sure you have cleared them completely. It's also easier to find other spots when those aren't jumping out at me when I go back and forth, as the technque relies on your eyes picking up any slight changes, and when you have big spots like that there are still there it messes up the process.

Also have you checked the areas that I posted in my last couple of posts to woundedfighter and morkets?

First of all let me apologize for my ineptitude with images and the like. I think it took more effort for me to post them as it would to just rescrape everything. Had I not already done just that, I would not have bothered. I appreciate any help in advance, and don't hesitate to say "too bad, so sad" if the images are improperly done. I have hit 99.5% and can no longer spec anything of value other than the area to the east of Matuua Keep, which I have adamantly attempted to get and have reached my boiling point with.

I took a quick look at your maps and I noticed a few spots you are missing. I don't have time to through them at the moment, but the ones I saw have been marked by me on other people's maps compare the maps in the last couple of pages in my responses to others:

Well, my hiatus of 3 weeks without internet / PC are finally over. Now that I have access, I'll be updating my map with everything I've uncovered since the last update which, probably, will be everything there is.

I stupidly let my .edu account have a hard-expire, and considering I don't attend school anymore and can't go there to reset it in-person, I'll be hosting the image elsewhere. The only reason I mention this is that if you've got it bookmarked and I say I've updated it and you go to your old bookmark, it won't have changed there....

Anyway, I'll be back to helping people when I can, updating the map very shortly, etc.etc.

Guys, I am having problems with jade quarry on kurzick side, tried going both lux and kurz for this unfogged area but it just won't reveal itself.

Tried furious hugging, not sure if I missed anything.

The left pic is mine the orange circle is the unfogged area, the right pic is the 100% one. Help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Livingston I got most of them which brought me up to 99.7%, have yet to utilize the others from the tortugan map, going to shortly. HOwever, the one that I left a link for, the area in nahpui, I have hit that from all directions and can't get it any clearer than I have it. Any tips?

Sorry you posted a lot of links before, so could you be more specific and repost the link in question and perhaps circle the area you are speaking of? It may be that you actually have the spot, and it just doesn't seem like it. I ran into that a few times myself.

I downloaded a sample 100% map from here, but my map seems to have like 2-3% more explored now and i dont know where to go im still at 98.6... I miss too much

btw "Shiro Banishes The Weak" ... its true and working with low hp, but allways the same place, and if im correct, there is more... how to reach it? He only banishes you to one spot. He will banish henchies to a different spot and I've heard people say they were banished there with a henchie, but I think that's either rubbish or a glitch. In any case all you need is the one area that he normally banishes to. I've never seen a map where someone has uncovered the henchie banishment area.

I'll take a look at the other stuff if I get a chance.

Finally obtained 100% Canthan by doing all the challenge Missions, but I do not think I have gotten all of Fort Aspenwood or The Jade Quarry. I took advanage of the Dragon Festival to map the Monastery Overlook area.

As for getting banished by Shiro, I was only able to get banished to the same area all the time despite repeated attempts. Tip for those who are not able to get banished -- Shiro will always banish the second player who enters his arrgo circle.

It took me a couple of times as well.

You want to take the path that goes down the right side of that area. It's the section that goes down to the lowest level, it will be very dark and fiery.

Try turning your gama all the way up, as long as it's not too white, that way you can see exactly where you are going. Then hug the wall and get inside every nook and cranny.

There are one or two people here who do some negative imaging with Photoshop or something like that, but apparently it doesn't work with Cantha as well as Tyria. If you want the normal people here to check your map you need to take screen shots of your map in pieces. Each screen shot of your map should be taken from the "U" interface window. Simply hit the "U" key to open it up, and then stretch it fully across your window. Then take pics of each part of your map until you have covered the whole thing like this:

Livingston All I can say is I have been successful in getting Shiro to banish me all the time using the this method. My HP is 485 (1 superior rune).

Updated my Cantha map, also included various quality levels for those with more adventurous spirits and lots of bandwidth.

-Southern edge of Unwaking, near the Kurzick town.

Maybe more, i didnt look very thoroughly.

I'm pretty new to the forum but the maps rock. I still am having some trouble finding out how people unoocked some areas but i find if you just take your charecter and push towards the closest wall it will unlock sooner or latter. I'm 99.1% and hope to get a 100% pretty soon.

amazingly u can get that spec inside the town [ The Jade Quarry(Kurzick) ] , if not, walkhug the west wall

ty Your primary areas of attack should be Tahnnaki Temple (explorable, but mostly every edge), Jade Quarry (mostly western edge), shiro banishment area, and the very southern area of kurzick territory.

Thanks, and don't forget to leave your IGN if you help. Your top three links are broken, but that's ok. You can get your 100% just using map #4 of 4.

Spot #1: Just outside Leviathan Pits, you'll see a boat on the map to the west. The spot is just north of that boat, but in the Gyala explorable zone. To get there, first enter Gyala from the Pits and turn west, you'll have to walk thru a group of Rot Wallows and a monk (i think its a monk) boss, turning south and entering an Oni spawn. I'm sure you can find it from that description.

Spot #2: Unwaking Waters (dunno if explorable or mission, but obviously try explorable first). Very south edge, over near the right where there is a couple of land chunks. The spot is around there in between them.

Spot #3: Just north of Fort Aspenwood arena, you'll see a boat on the map (aren't all these boat landmarks wonderful?). The spot is just north of that boat, likely revealed from the Ogre-filled zone south of Boreas (the name escapes me).

Spot #4: Just north of the start of Boreas Seabed mission, the very northern edge. It's almost directly north of the Mission pin, but slightly east as opposed to due north.

Pick any or all, and see what happens

Hi,
as Forum Readers Anonymous i think its time to do that help me post. I am as a Tyrian PC currently at 99.4%. I know that i am missing the Monastary Overlook area at least partly as i missed to explore this area at the Dragon festival (my bad, PC couldn't handle the zillion people there).

But through reading through most of the posts in this threat i wonder about three things

* what program do people use for the Stitching, as my two tries at shareware programs didn't work out as i anticipated. (thus the single images)

* how are the maps then compared to a 100% Map? If the answer is manually, then wow to those bionic eyes, if there is a program used, is there another post around where the procedure is explained how this is done?

* And lastly, whether i could get some help getting my last .6%

Ill look at the maps later, but as for the questions...

I use photoshop, layers make it a snap to line up properly.

You compare to the 100% map by opening both images (either your own screens or your U map within GW), aligning the two such that when you swap from one to the other via alt-tab or the like, their positions are identical, then doing such a swap repetatively and very quickly so that you notice any differences present.

Dave Well that is fine. You don't really say how many times is all the time, nor how many HP the other person you were traveling with had. However, it doesn't really matter as all I was saying is that it definitely does not work all the time, because I tried this myself heaps of times and it does not work for me. Maybe you are simply luckily, I don't know. If it works for others fine, if not they need something else and that something else is the using the multiple superior runes method. I have never heard of anyone who has failed with the superior rune method. I'm sure it's possible, but I haven't heard of it yet. But I have heard of people not being able to use the aggro second method and it has failed for me multiple times as well. Thus to say that it works all of the time is a fallacy.

If I need to I will make a video to prove this, but I don't really think I have to as there are enough other people to confirm this already.

You need the area within the Jade Quarry. You also need the spot right above the little boat to the NW of the Jade Quarry.

You are missing a bit to the north of the little island thing in Jaya Bluffs.

You are missing a spot directly south of The Dragon's Throat. A spot in the middle of the south wall of Naphui Quarter explorable. A spot in the middle of the North wall of Shenzu Tunnels, south of the Vizunah Quarter mission. And another spot north in the Boreas Seabed outpost.

I'm going to bed now, but those should be enough to get your title as you have the overlook.

I'm currently stuck at 99.8%. I think I know where's the last places to visit, but I don't know how to get to these places. Someone help?

Ok, a few replies to those requesting help on this page...

Falco: Your host is ridiculously slow, I didn't even have the patience to have the first image load. I'd try a more standard one like photobucket/imageshack.

DartMouth: Banishment zone, Tahnnaki Temple, Jade Quarry, the very southern Kurzick place (Altruum Ruins or something? I forget the name). You're missing obvious things in all those places, so completely reveal those and come back later.

Agrim: You actually have some noob-island stuff to explore...
-Couple spots on the north edge of Jayla Bluffs, one on the half-circle beach segment and one just north of the temple/monastery thing
-Spot in the interior of Zen Daijun, just west of the eastern fork in the path, near the eastern edge of the "black blob".
-Missing the "farmland" around maatu
-Spot north of SunJiang pin, in the region between its zone and shenzun.
-Something in Nahpui, either the very SW corner of explorable or the equivalent of that but in the mission
-Spot just outside nahpui, where the vermin hang out.
-Banishment Zone
-Walk out of dragon throat, then turn around and walk back in.
-GAPING hole in the zone east of Armory in Kurzick territory on your way to unwaking waters, this alone is mega %
-West edge of jade quarry
-Spot on north edge of just above Boreas Pin
-North edge of Rhea's Crater
-All edges of Hatchery
-Just SSE of kurzick unwaking waters city

Obsidian: In the future please use JPEG

-Unwaking waters, southern edge on eastern side
-Try walking to the western edge of Leviathan Pits town or, if that doesnt work, try hugging the wall immediately south of it.
-Two dots in Morosov Trail, one on the eastern edge where that river mouth thing is and the other in the very SW corner.
-Spot in the zone east of Vasburg Armory, down in the SW corner of it.
-very NW corner of unwaking waters.
-Arborstone edges in the northern half (top, eastern)
-NW jade quarry
-north middle edge of ferndale
-explore kurzick aspenwood town better
-spot in interior of the zone west of breaker hollow
-maatu "farmland"
-SE corner vizunah
-Banishment stuff
-Interior spots in Bukdek and very SW corner of the "victory path" in raisu
-entire eastern edge of lagoon on noob island

As these kinds of replies clearly show, TRY THE ALT-TAB METHOD BEFORE ASKING FOR HELP. That's all I did here, and it doesn't require super-bionic eyeballs to see the points that are lacking. Do NOT try a side-by-side comparison of maps, then give up when you dont see anything different.
