Worst Character Voice

Don't get me started, GW is the best game with the worst voice acting.
Though I do think the quality of it improved with factions.
I'm thinking about voices like Mhenlo and the voice of the Emperor. Elder Rea isn't bad.
I must have skipped one to many scenematics because I can't really remember Danika speaking. So overall, the voices (besides Shiro and that fortune teller) weren't to bad.
Tyria though... The voices in there were just depressing. I especially remember the maguuma voices, Evinnia and Saidra, those dwarves sounded retarted aswell. And that horrible seer voice! Not fitting and forced, what was the director/voice actor thinking?
And what's with people thinking the seer and Glint are male? No compliment indeed.
The attempt at drama was the drama itself. And it was outright depressing. Only char that kind of passes the test is that leader of the White Mantle.

The voice acting usually isn't the problem. Most of them are okay, although there are a few NPCs who deserve to have their tongues ripped out.
But oh, the lines they're given! I don't see how you could make them sound good! It's like the author intended it to be full of camp but forgot to tell the editors.

An actor can only do so much given a script. Its up to the director to envision how the whole thing is gonna come together.
The director obviously didn't say "Cut cut, that sounds wrong." when it came to Danika's lines >.>

GHOSTLY HERO!!!!!!
I didn't even have to read this friggin' thread, it just popped into my head. I HATE his raspy voice.
But for Cantha? - Mmmmmmm, I'd say that little kid at the end of Cho's Estate. He sounds like he's speaking wiht a Japanese accent in one sentance, then an American one in every other. Its like they alternated.

classic thread
Danika imo is a disgrace to all things vocal, with Shiro coming a close second.
God how can someone record voices that bad and actually think them passable. Even on a low budget, you could easily get one of the coders or even a dog to voice act better than some of the factions actors.
Cringe factor 90
God i hope chapter 3 improves on this, it totally destroys the immersion on what can sometimes be enjoyable cutscenes.

I turn voice down during cutscenes to keep some kind of immersion.
I don't remember another game with similar quality of voice acting, starts wondering if the b-rated acting was done on purpose... ^^
I guess they don't have enough money to hire proper acting/voice directing, but in the end we get some pretty good humour
