I wish we could make polls on this forum, but this will have to suffice.

Cantha has introduced a variety of excellent things. Zodiac weapons, alliances, new guild halls, and more. But unfortunately it is plagued with people who have TERRIBLE voices!

Post here who you think has the worst voice of all the characters.

My choices:
1. Elder Rhea
2. The Fortune Teller
3. Master Togo or Kuunavang (they're tied)

Also, including a witty explanation of what they sound like to you will elevate the fun

Man its a real toss up between Mhenlo and Elder Rhea but Mhenlo takes 1st with Elder Rhea in a close second. Hearing each of their voices i cant help but feel embaressed for them.

Well, the only time I had my Guild Wars volume up was when I watched one of the cutscenes with Shiro and the fortune teller.

I'm going to have to say the fortune teller.

Bad voice acting really is the biggest disappointment for me in Factions. I liked the acting in Prophecies and I still enjoy watching the cutscenes, causing much anger to my party members when they have to listen to Prince Rurik again.
But Factions... I find myself often skipping just so that I don't have to listen to their voices. Worst of all has to be the fortune teller. It's like she's getting more and more annoying during the game and finally getting to that "Greatest hits of the fortune teller" moment in Unwaking Waters. Over and over and over again. No wonder Shiro went mad.

I have to say Chapter 1 had better voice acting than Chapter 2. I think Chapter 2 had a smaller budget than Chapter 1 cause of the terrible voice acting.

Danika is pretty bad. She looks dark and gothy but sounds like a bubbly anime character.

Evennia drives me crazy, though. I vote her for worst character voice.

I'm not sure why everybody bitches about Togo. He's not *that* bad...

Elder Rhea was pretty bad, though. They got some chick in the office to do it, and said, "sound all old, and stuff...", so she gave it her best shot, but just wound up sounding very butch instead...

Wouldn't it be funny if it was Gaile who did the voices for the females? :P

Funny thing is, that anet got Steve Blum one of the greatest voice actors in my opinion of all time to va factions, im not sure what characters he did though.

Danika sounds like a stoned Betty Boop. So I vote her. :P

In the second slot is barbarian woman Elder Rhea, followed by the Forever Grove tree keeping Baron (I think it was Vasburg), who I swear was lisping his lines.

I think a lot of the bad voice acting actually stems from bad writing. It's not just the voices that are bad. It's the lines. The lines are so generic that it's hard to give the characters a solid vocal performance, because they all lack any signs of character development.

Agree, practically none of the lines showed any characterization... you could take any line and give it to another character and it would fit them. Get back to work, Factions script writers!

danika wasnt too bad cept for the cut after arborstone where shes talking about the wards failing (that WAS horrible).

togo i think was pretty well done

how specTACular would it have been to have scenes for certain quests featuring ....... christopher walken as eurus and steve irwin as turimachus!?!

Danika. No contest. Personality-wise, she's fine, but her voice? I had expected something a little more dignified.

I like Mhenlo's voice, as well as Master Togo's and Elder Rhea's. They all have voices that fit them, IMO.

Now, if they ever give Cynn a voice, they BETTER not screw that up :P

i vote togo for worst. if i were to imagine what a pedophile sounds like...

mhenlo for most disappointing. fo' all the pimpin' that boy done (cynn, jamei, chiyo, emi,...) he should have definitely been more smooth. (maybe even using the "b" word and showing cynn the back of his hand a few times...)

danikas voice was terrible, but i have a lot of trailer trash on my father's side of the family, so i'm used to it.

that dragon i won't attampt to spell, but i liked the voice.

evennias voice acting was good, but she was scripted terribly. when she threatens the gods using balthazar as her witness at the end of iron mines i always chuckle.

saidras voice gets my vote for sexiest.

i liked ruriks voice, and his script. it think he is just made cheesy by his AI, and the fact that he, and saidra, turn into plot devices.

Mhenlo is the keanu reeves of gw.. duh-ika drives me nuts.. I can't even listen to her anymore.. but honestly, the worst voice I have ever heard comes from the nahpui quarter mission, at the end..that woman omg... it sounds like what happens when a bubble headed porn star tries to act..
