Petition to quit nerfing the hell out of us.

@Samorn: You clearly do not understand basic economics. Reducing the number and quality of the drops INCREASES the cost of items. (ie: causes inflation) It's basic supply and demand.
They have really cool uber-items and awesome armor, but no way to afford these items. You can't farm a location anymore and expect to get ANYTHING dropped (no gold, no items, nada)
I like the GW world, but they have a vendetta against PvE and making money.

To prevent inflation on item sales. This happened in Everquest Online Adventures (PS2). When I left low level quest armor was going for 10k each and many many items were in the 10millions. Now where does that leave newbs? |
Quote:
2. To prevent people from a massing stock piles of gold and selling it for real cash on certain MMORPG selling sites (Won't mention). |
Quote:
3. To make getting that 15k armor a little bit harder. Just about every level 20 you see these days has their 15k armor and that makes the all mighty end game armor seem a little less "all mighty". Anet might be trying to make it so that if you have the 15k armor then you really are "Hardcore" or have devouted the time to getting the 15k stuff. |
15 per piece x 5 pieces = 75k
~120 ectoplasm or whatever at 10k each(below reg price, BTW) = 1200k
Total cost = 1,275,000 gold
Quote:
Also one last thing, stop crying that you can't make 10k an hour I can only make 1k an hour and thats if I'm lucky. |
Quote:
So in conclusion from what I see and have experienced in past MMORPGs what Anet is doing isn't bad for the game. |

OK, so the drops are now crap (Temporarily maybe? Don't know)
Can you please remove the enchant breakers from the scarabs and golems?
(How the hell can a golem remove 4 enchantments in the blink of an eye without casting a spell? That's ******* ********!)
How about getting rid of the casters that you placed at riverside?
If we can't have the good drops from farming, at least make farming possible again to restore SOME fun.
No drops, no enchantments, no farming, no fun.
Great plans in store for PvE i remember from a past interview....
Yeah, a great big nerf bat!

I like a leisurely game, exploring every nook and cranny, making certain to do every quest along the way. I have salvaged/sold every scrap, and I now am the proud owner of a bank account totalling... are you ready?... 11K and change. Yep. That's it. There go my dreams of owning an axe better than 5-12 any time in the near future! I've never seen a gold drop, and the purple drops I've seen were worth nothing beyond salvage either. I have a lousy weapon, no money to buy a better one, and apparently no chance to find a better one until I've finished the game and can work the "high level" areas? Which means that maybe my second character will have a decent weapon? Bah. If things don't start looking up, there won't be a second character. I'm enjoying the game so far, but as the mobs become stronger and stronger and my character doesn't, I envision hitting a plateau where frustration overcomes fun. That would be a shame. |
I sympathize with you.. people who bought the game and have leveled up slower missed out on all of the spots people who played beta, or started out with a farming build and play 40+ hours a week farmed to hell in the beginning. I think my first gold drop wasn't until around the lions arch area, so you will start to see them more if you keep playing. Eventually, you will find something worth selling or keeping, like a max damage weapon with +life/dmg or some useful mods. If you don't feel that weapon is all that godly or you can't use it, just sell it. Patience is key. If you wait for the right offer, someone will usually pay 2-5x+ what most people quote you for it. Since you are a W/Mo you should be able to setup to farm somewhere or rush people to Droknar's for good money. I believe warriors are recommended to update their armor more aften as they go through the game, so that may be why the difficulty seems frustrating for you now. Depending on what crafting materials you have/need, you do have 11k so you could always get a rush to Droks and make at least chest and leggings of the 1.5k armor. Or, you could spend some cash for a basic max damage axe with lower req and some decent mods. Don't think of getting a rush to Droks as skipping ahead, it is just branching off from beacons perch to go shopping.
My first char is a Me/E, horrible at farming.. with very targetted setups I could farm sand drakes or hydras at max 2/3 per pack. By working my way through the game to the ring of fire, I was able to save enough to buy my 1.5k armor as well as save money to rush my new Mo/R to Droks for hers. There seems to be places that drop stuff fairly well still, but it is no fun to deal with henchs or a pug for hours on end and only find worthless junk. I have thought up some creative ways to make money, not involving solo farming or scamming/rushing..however, I don't even know if it is worth the effort to me. I don't like the fact that the only things that are really hard to get, besides unlocking, are the 1 mill+ fissure armor and black dye. I really don't care about +30 health sword hilts(can use faction anyhow), I like to improve my characters appearance^^. Sadly, I have never found or had a black dye. Just to buy silver is expensive enough. I hope that things will be added soon that reduce the pressure on the price of black dye and those ecto and obsidian shards.
Is it really integral to the game to have one black dye be worth 800 times as much as a yellow one? In reality, black dye would be the absolute cheapest to make. Let us recover "ashes" from mobs and craft black dyes from some out of the way crafter or something at least.
When I first discovered guild wars and it was in beta, for some reason I thought it sucked. Then closer to release, the whole "skill over time spent" thing sounded so nice and I thought I would give it a try. I truly appreciate Anet's constant updates and attention to the community. I feel that their type of attitude is necessary for a truly great company. Still, I really question whether I would buy an expansion. I know there are a lot of different types of players and it is hard to keep them all happy. Basically, I don't want to have to make a specific type of character and then spend hours looking for a less nerfed spot weekly. I am going to make my 3rd char soon, and I can't decide between W/N or N/W. I think I would prefer N/W, but I feel I might need to make warrior primary so I later change to /Mo and be a runner or hunter. I could find hunting to be enjoyable, but it sounds so daunting with spots being nerfed constantly...

Dianna, I understand how you feel. I give decent stuff to new players all the time, message me. I think many of the more well-off players should do so as well.
EternalTempest
Only thing I can think of it this, A.Net intention was to make 15k armor truely rare and cause it so the bots end up with the gold to "hopefully" drive down the price of everthing, or in place of a future trade shop, auction house, or grand plan. I can also see a surge in gold buying (I refrain from this myself but others won't).
For all the new players or the ones that never did farming (me) seeing everyone with 15k armor where it may be a long time down the road is fustration (I will get over it).
Either way, please talk about it give your reason's behind it.

I went through this entire game up to the desert just doing the missions and quests like normal and got to lvl 18, yet never saw my total gold higher than 7k at one time. I made more than 7k of course, as thoughout that month I did spend approx 5k on a good staff and some weapon upgrades, and held onto my salvage materials to sell and use for armor upgrades, which I purchased at each major AL increase. Yet my total gold pool never exceeded 7k, and usually hovered between 1k and 3k on a good day.
When I got to Ventari's Refuge, I was so frustrated that after getting a whole new set of armor yet again, a second set of silver dye and yet a third major vigor rune (they never salvage for me), that I was completely broke with less than 50g. I'd never seen a gold drop of anything, and only a few purples along the way. Meanwhile I'm reading these trade messages with "+24 Fortitude Wrapping - 15k cheap!"' and the like... and I'd read how some people make like 10k or more in a single day or hour.
So I got fed up with it, searched the forums and found the DC run mentioned, and did it for an entire evening, and made almost 15k in chest gold and gold/purple drops that I sold at a fair price. Then I paid someone to run me to Droknar's so I could get the armor upgrade hoop done with, and then went back to where I was beforehand. Not only was it the only way I was able to get even close to the kind of gold I keep hearing about (reached over 22k as my highest total at one point), but it was a lot of fun.
A week or so later I discovered that I really needed to get either a Superior Vigor rune or a high +Health staff wrapping because I just didn't have enough health as I sacrifice too much, yet these are all over 30k each, if you're lucky! So I went to DC to do the run for a bit and what did I find? Barbed Traps at just about every turn, no good gold or purple drops, less gold per chest drop and a bunch of low level stuff that isnt' even worth salvaging. What was once a 5 min run to get some gold had turned into a 20 minute run with multiple deaths and very little to show for it.
So I'd decided to play the Materials market instead, buying low and selling high. I'd login at different times and spend almost all of my gold on materials and started salvaging everything I came across during normal gameplay instead of selling it to the merchant and other players. Well... I guess I just started doing this at the wrong time, because I can't seem to turn a profit on any of it. This last week it seemed like the sell prices were always really low on everything, and then the patch...
I actually thought last night how this game is starting to totally suck.

I'm happy to see the size this petition has grown to in such a short amount of time, keep it coming peoples, this is what we need to do because there's nothing else available. I sent in a message to Anet's support about a few things yesterday, I've still no response today. Hopefully I'll get it soon enough, I personally feel I have the right to know whether farming gold laying around will get my friggin' account banned. If anything of the sort happens you can bet I'm going to be one pissed off pie (and my wrath is unbearable ). They had things going good in game, there were gold sinks, people could buy and people could sell, I still had to work quite a while to get my 60k armor now I can't come close to that, and I sure as hell can't EVER hope to TOUCH the fissure armor with these prices. I used to have enough money at one point to buy it, but then the prices increased, and nearly doubled. So now I've not a hope in hell.
I smirk at anyone who says we're "blind" at that it didn't say anything in the latest patch.
You're DAMN right it didn't say anything in the latest patch, but then do you mind telling me why those monsters who used to drop loot from each mob in Gates of Kryta now drop maybe 4 items out of 20 mobs? It's because sometime, I don't know when, they went and swung their friggin' nerf bat at it. And I don't even recall hearing about half the stuff they've gone and chagned, they just do it and then I go find out about it when I realize my work isn't paying off anymore.
Over the past 3 days I've managed to get 5k. If I were to create a new character, I'd have to grind just to get the 1.5k droknars armor. Them "nerfing" these spots isn't doing anything but screwing over the people and helping the bots. Now gold is worth more, prices are higher because demand is higher because they nerfed everything, and now the bots, who can spend however much time they want, can go and get as much gold as they want. It'll just take longer. And then they can make more money off of it, be more wealthy in-game, and keep buying what they need no matter what the price. It's inflating the prices right now. Ecto for 13k?! Black dye sold off for 1g? What the hell is this about? So...we're supposed to use the traders to refill their supplies...but we'll only get 3g if we give 3 black dyes to the trader? Yeah, I don't think so. And then the price rises because of "demand", which doesn't make a lick of sense and is only hurting the game further.
Anyone who says this game is "PvP focused" can put a sock in it, I've heard no "word" from Anet about this, and in one of their notices they said WE of PvE were next in line, instead they drop us a long hard nerf. PvP in this game is so small, repetitive, and pointless, that it either needs A LOT of work or they need to focus on something they've already got going, PvE.
Basically they can fix the game or lose a good many members is what I'm seeing. I know I won't be sticking around if everything I liked about the game keeps getting taken away, I'm going to assume there's a fair amount out there with the same mind set. "We want to reduce the grind" Good job, Anet. Now we've got to grind just to buy armor to progress in the storyline, or get a decent weapon upgrade.
Keep signing this thing, I've nothing left to do but try something like this.

Theres still a place you can get 200g in about a 1:30 seconds , if you have sprint and remove hex, thats about 1k every 8 - 9 mins , 6 -7k an hour, and you get max damage and blue stuff guaranteed, nothing gold though and puple is rare..............
it's not like it's been totally nerfed though, just toned down,

Ah so people are farming GOLD in the lower level areas. That's how the nerf is hapening? Have they nerfed the item drops too? I think anet should keep the gold drops lower if there is only one character farming. Increase the drops and gold the more people (Non-henchmen) are in the party. If people have to farm for gods sake make em do it together.
The nerfs haven't stopped my cash flow one bit. I run around perdition rock with a bunch of mates helpiing some poor fellow cap skills. By the time we're done (About an hour) I'm close to a skill point, and have made around 2k from items and gold drops.
Maybe this is what Anet is striving for? Trying to get the farmers to work together instead of solo?

Just because I'd like to see better drops as you play through the game. Not neccassarily farming areas but overall better drop rates.

I can not belive this this blows the new players or the people who dont have the money to lets say buy a 100k item of of someone are the ones getting most hurt here, and also it is unfair to give everything to the pvpers what are they trying to do turn this into pvp only game or something? give us back our beloved farming spots it doesnt hurt anyone when everyone can farm go out destroy several groups of something and be able to have a few nice items outa the deal not play through the entire game and wow i have a non-max dmg (insert item here) with crappy mods. This is not fixing the economy you have to be able to spend money to make it so to speak and without any spots to farm there goes spending it along with the people who have a truck load of cash/items already charging outlandish prices because farming has been nerfed and now items are even harder to come across. this is bullpucky ANET and I think you should treat us as good as the pvpers are treated(no offense towards pvpers) So again I /sign this petition and hopefully gaile grey or someone will stop by and go ohh and help the pver's out.

man you people are crazy. Drops for me have increased since the last update. both gold and purple. Main reason... I DONT FARM OUT AREAS LIKE THEY ARE GOING OUT OF STYLE. DON"T FARM, just play the game. there is plenty to be got just from that. I see NO new players complaining.. only you babies crying cause there are other ways to get the runes and materials you want to inflate again. And all the gold getting pulled out of the game finally may the gold piece worth something again. You want some gold... go play PvP for a while and get a sigil. bingo more then enough for anyone. then continue playing Pve and get you uber armors or whatever you want. All this has done is cut out the resellers from having both BUYERS and Supplies to continue their inflated tendencies. and It has also made it EXTREAMLY hard for Gold resellers to stay in business.
I praise Arenanet for their efforts, and hope they keep it up.

I signed this earlier, but didn't really give an explanation. Everyone wants their character to look "uber cool" and all, the 15k armors are looking pretty spiffy these days. So what if "everyone" has them? The customization isn't in the armor model itself, the customization is in creative use of dyes, runes applied to the armor, etc.
When I get to the point of being able to purchase 15k armor for my Ranger (my highest character), I don't want to have to farm for weeks or months to be able to afford it. That would just kill the game for me. Most of the fun of the game is upgrading my character with new armor and equipment and, if I can't afford it, it kills the fun for me. In this game its actually fun to farm, but there's a limit to everything and making things too hard of players is not the way to go about things.
So, either they need to stop nerfing farming spots, or lower the price on the "15k armor" set, put reasonable static prices on materials or whatever. Just give us a chance to actually have some fun without throwing our lives away to scrape together enough cash to get the cool gear.

Alright so what do we know, well we know that I'm really pissed off for one. Secondly we know that they've gone and nerfed every single farming spot in the game that I could find, I've spent my entire day trying to find a new decent spot, even one where I could make say, 10k per hour or something, and I'm still OUT OF LUCK. No jades anywhere drop a damn thing, the gates of kryta enemies, no matter where they are or what they are, when from dropping several mediocre things that you could very SLOWLY make gold on to dropping NOTHING (almost literally, I kill 30 enemies, I get 4 drops.), the griffons drop one or two blue items...maybe, the random gold outside fishermans haven? Now considered an exploit. The UW/FoW? Yeah, if you want to spend every hour for a week that your country has down there just so you might get a max damage storm bow to sell for 30k, be my guest. A droknar runner will make more than you do in the UW/FoW, in less time than you'd ever thought. Farming, buying/selling/giving away things...it's all that was left for me in this game. I enjoy testing builds but I can't do that because of attribute refunds, I can't get anymore money because every spot I can find at all has been nerfed to the point that it's impossible to almost find a drop period. My question is why, why is it necessary? Droknar runners can make money, PvP players can make money, but normal PvE players who actually use the money, make it the slowest. If you're not rich already you can't expect to be able to buy much anything worthwhile anymore, because unless you get extremely rich you'll be fighting for the last bit of money for your last bit of dye. Now that every spot in the game has been nerfed except for the lost strongbox (which isn't even a farming spot...and will maybe get you 6k in 3 hours or something...), you just can't make money. I ENJOYED working towards a goal or set of money, I enjoyed needing 100k for something and then farming solo until I reached that goal, I was motivated and it's what I did in most of my free time...because it's all that's left. But now that's been taken away from me as well. Even if they add these two new "zones" to the game, it won't matter. Go through 'em once or twice, or even 10 times...and no big deal, fun over. Then if you tried to farm there, nerf bat for sure. I would rather see my farming spots back than the two new zones, I enjoy the feeling of being alone out there just me and the mobs making money towards a goal, and now that I can't do that...period, I need to start this petition thing. Basically saying that---WE WANT OUR FARMING SPOTS BACK. It doesn't HURT anyone, being able to make money at a decent rate won't matter now that you've got so many gold sinks in the game. Hell how was I able to spend 200k in a day? I bought a new set of 60k armor, some dye, helped some players out, and now I've not a chance in hell to get any of it back. Some people enjoy doing PvP in those arenas and tombs over and over again, some of us enjoy working out in the zones by ourselves farming stuff. PvP people get the "here you go, you want it you have it" bat, we get the nerf bat. What's up with that? I'm tired of being bought out by droknar runners every day, lets get some farming back! /signed |
1)Farming messes up the economy. people who farm have lots of gold they do a lot of buying and selling and thus they set the prices, prices which are too high for non farmers.
2)Yes there's a money sink. However just because its there it doesnt mean you hav to spend all your time trying to fill it. It's not the aim of the game.
3)The game is skill based, not item based. This has been re-inforced many times. The items are purely collectables, things to show off. The 15k armours demonstrate this. The only differences between them and the 1.5K armours is asctetics i.e the 15K armours are for the vain. The weapons also make very little difference to gameplay, they are again collectables and this is perfectly in line with the games direction. If the game had wanted to be item orientated it would have been and would have resulted in something like Diablo2 for example. The game is skill based to allow anybody to play. In most item based games you have to play many hours collecting UBER items before you can even compete with others. Obviously such items would unblance the style of play that was intended.
Thus in conclusion farming is a pointless activity followed by many who are exploiting the game. And yes it is an exploit because as I have mentioned this isnt within the game plan. If you really want to farm in this manner. Play a game which promotes an item based system or rethink your gaming attitude.

The PvPers are the ones raising the prices on weapon mods and the like. The largest source of inflation is the sigils given for winning HoH.

The premise that the game is "skill based" not based on armor, stats or weapons is, truthfully, mainly for PvP. While I salute ANet for wanting to promote that attitude and, really, its the right way to go about PvP (people shouldn't have the upper hand just because they wear some uber, hard-to-get armor, it SHOULD be skill-based almost exclusively), the fact remains that a large portion of players are PvE-ers. Strategy really means very little, as far as I can tell from the amount of the game I've played.
Its important to people to look cool, that's part of the fun of any MMO - building up a character from scratch, looking cool as you can get new, higher-level, more expensive armor, etc. The game, as a whole, is NOT all about skill. PvP may be, but the whole idea of PvE is not to be the most skilled, but to build up a character from scratch and find excitement and enjoyment in the journey, getting new armors, learning new abilities, exploring new places, unravelling the story, etc.
So, I think your logic is flawed if you think every aspect of this game is all about skill over everything else, and the game developers would be blind if they didn't see and understand that, as well.

1 million roughly for fissure armor...How the hell can someone afford that.
If there keeping the nerfs drop the fiss armor to a reasonable price.

All PvP is is one large grind. You just do the same small scale crap over and over, you get faction for it, and that's else. Then you go unlock skills, weapon upgrades, and runes with the faction that you get by doing the same activity multiple times. This is what farming is. Except instead of fighting small groups of 8, we fight groups of mobs to get our gold. We farm places for gold, PvP players farm the arenas for faction.
The devs made it so that every PvP battle gives faction, but our runs in PvE give nil. You see traders and "gold sinks" ONLY work if there's actually money to spend on the items, and right now there's only gold in a few places. PvP people don't complain ANYMORE, because they got "faction" they FARM faction all day long. So while the devs go and give PvP faction, and the ability to unlock anything they want simply by doing an activity over and over again...while it's GUARANTEED that they'll get rewarded for it with some form of faction points...at the same time they DECREASE the rewards for doing the exact same thing in PvE.
Doesn't sound fair to me, give PvP whatever they bitch for while removing content and rewards from PvE. Not a smart move at all. Droknars rushers should NOT be the richest in the game, simple as that. The only things inflating the prices right now are bots (which haven't been affected by the nerfs), those selling sigils (that haven't been affected by the nerfs), and droknars rushers (that haven't been affected by the nerfs).
Doesn't make any sense at all. And that's what this thread is for, to let them know they've gone and messed something up for us.
*edit*
I'd like to add that I've still gotten no response from Anets support team to the email I sent them some 35 hours ago. Guess I'll keep waiting.

I agree that people who use bots to either gather material and gold for either their own sense of uberness or to sell on EBay are the ones hurting the rest of us.
I , and the rest of us who are signing this, would like to have the oppportunity to have a profit (ingame) made when playing, not hunting for hours and recieve diddly squat.

I am kinda pissed, I want to know if my latest gold/chest run is an being considered an exploit! I think I have the right to know whether or not my activities are being considered "bad". 'Cause if they are, you can bet I've got a thing or two to say to 'em then 'eh! Yeah, take that, and that! Muahaha...*cough*
You know what I mean though.

(First of all sorry for my english :])
Let me explain my point of view. Many of preavious PvE posters are refering to this game as it like to be another WoW or L2. This game is so much diffrent. It was clearly stated that this game is focusing around playing with people, teamplay and pvp.Look at this: 20 lvl only , only eight skill to choose, no uber characters that can wipe everything alone. What i want to say is that when i finshed the game i realized that everything that game offers in PvE is leading next to pvp. I feel that PvE was made to prepare players for pvp , to learn skills and see what they do, to learn some tactics and learn teamplay. Many of u want this game to be played in WoW or L2 style but this is not the reason this game was created for. I signed this petition because i cant understand why ANET i nerfing everything. I take gamebox and this is what i see " You'll prove yor worth with every batlle as skill NOT HOURS PLAYED, decides you fate". For me this game should be played like this :
- i do missions, quest to unlock skills
- while i play i find good gold weapons and mods to it, if i not find what i looking for : for example i got nice 15>50 bow but i want axe i trade for it or sell and buy it from another players who found them while there were playng their game and don't need it, ofcourse for reasonable prizes, if drops were better prizes wouldn't be so high
- i get enough money to buy my droknars armor (later maybe 15k) , runes to make my character better
- i finish the game, i have good weapon, good armor dyed as i want, simply don't have to farm for it
- if i feel that this character isn't my playing style i start another one or change secondary
- when i think its cool and i like playing with it i find guild and focus around PvP, HoH and UW-FoW
I think this is the way this game should be played. But what we have now well.... i can't understand that. Everything is hard to get, i finished game once and never got decent gold weapon drop or decent rune. I don't want to farm, i think that in game like this its not a way to go. But what else i can do if i dont find weapons and mods that i would like. I feel that this game is making me to farm to get what i want. But wait this is impossible because every single spot is nerfed or would be nerfed. Well maybe i'll buy one, yeah in my dreams because only what i see is 100k or more for a good weapon. But how am i suppose to get that sort of money with just normal play? Even mods for weapons are close to it. What wrong would be in fact that all players could get everything they want JUST PLAYING THE GAME? This is skill based game right? i think no harm would be done !!! If someone wants to play PvE forever well i think that he dosen't understand concept of this game and should change the game. We want it or not this game is focusing around PvP and PvE is only a first step to it.I think that ANET should think what they are doing to this game, they should let people get what they want "just playing the game". Maybe then more people would start to play PvP and maybe then it would bring more guilds and challange to GvG ladder.
Well that's all i wanted to say

sounds like you all have had just a bunch of bad luck.. im a r/e 20 on my first character, i just did ascention yesterday, ive got a really nice staff (+15 total energy +25 hp ) for when im a trapper ( my trapper runs arent for drops, i make more questing ) i have a max composite bow (fiery string & +25 hp ) and full forge armour (2 sup runes and 1 major rune) that was paid for with out having to farm so i guess i dont notice the "nerfing"
Calimar
Well, most of the people that are against probably don't care about signing this. In fact it WON'T affect me in the least if they nerf farmsites more. Economy won't go that much up just because you guys farm like crazy, unless you all start buying tons of, say, linen and sell it on the market (then merchants will have high prices and all).
Still, while I agree that the whole point for some might be farm money and buy better armor... the 15k armor is designed to be a definitely rare thing. It wouldn't cost 10 times as much as the others if it wasn't, by design, rare. You want it? Ok. Work hard. Some guys want the prize of hard work without the hard work... that should not happen. I *will* have 15k armor. In time.
Farming as in repeatedly hitting the same location avoiding monsters and such is - for my PERSONAL PvE mind - boring and cheap. PvP pointless? If you think PvPers are PvPing to unlock stuff, you're very wrong. Unlocking is just a way to better your chances at a win, not the reason to play PvP. It's a tool to an end, not the end.
What *is* indeed pointless is this ongoing war where PvEers complain about PvPers and vice versa. You can do one without the other in GW, but you'll never be top notch. And you'll have a hard time getting anywhere - try using PVP only and see how long it takes to unlock stuff when all you can count on is 1 weapon and no skills. Means no GvG wins, no HoH wins: 2 faction at a time is not much when it takes 1000 tu unlock a minor rune you can get in fort ranik.
Now complain about farming being too hard.. laugh.
Guys... A.net made a PvE AND PvP game. Realize that if you want to be on just one side of the fence, you're going to be 80% effective or less.

How are the PvP lot raising weapon MOD prices? To my knowledge the unlocked items are available with the PvP character only, which is not able to trade on the PvE market. The only thing we really see are sigils and these will be expensive due to the difficulty involved in getting them.

And a good guild can make 2-3K faction in about 5 matches. They raise the price because of using faction they will pay 100K for that unided rune. I personally don't care about weapon unlocks. I just bought the items I wanted and the mods I wan'ted and leave them in storage for my PvP chars. I have 3 bows 2 hammers a sword a axe 3 staffs and a few other items. I will just buy the runes I need for a new build now that I have the skills unlocked. I know of other PvPers who do the same thing.
I don't farm except for shards and ectos and those are for my FoW armor which I could go and buy every single shard and ecto right now for it and not even notice the cost. I felt like seeing how long it would take farming them.
I do PvP reguarly and have rank 7. I was in a guild ranked in the lower 60's until some RL friends started one and convinced me to join them. When I was in my old guild I came up with all most all our strategys and builds. I do tombs with them reguarly because my RL friends are pretty bad ATM.
