Ahhhhh, someone already said it...but anyway the biggest jerk ever was this

You could add 10 pages to this thread pointing out only half the people who acted like jerks during the strike. But that's still only a VERY SMALL - TINY - percentage of the people who had any involvement in it. It was mostly all in good fun, and not something that should have been taken too seriously.

I vote that we leave "Strike" episodes off this thread.

Jerk: 1k? Are you serious?
Me: Thats the price bleached shells. They are very rare.
Jerk: Whatever noob. ND. Good luck trying to sell them to the nubs.
Me: I have made hundreds of sales of Bleached shells. Good luck on finding someone who will sell to you for less.


Kind of a Noob and a Jerk.

Yep... Probably he didn't spend like 3 hours farming worms outside Dunes only to get 1 lousy shell. Anyway, after 2 hours of farming you make the money to buy those shells even is you kill only the wurms... So it's a fair price.

I have sold dozens of bleached shells for 1 plat each, and everyone seems to think it's a fair price tag for something that rare. Most of those buyers have probably spent a fair bit of time trying to farm them themselves and then just decided, heck, I'll be 80 until I'll find 5, I'll just buy them.

I was in an Ascent team with several guildies and a few friends a few hours ago. We went from Underworld to Broken Tower to Courtyard to Sacred Temples. On Sacred Temples we faced an iway team. We set up a body block that prevented them from getting the lever needed to open the gate, so basically, until they killed us, they couldnt get a relic. For a time we body blocked, survived through 3 meteor showers, all the while body blocking, killing them time and time again. Timer goes to 2.30 and our warrior goes to run the relic with support of 2 monks. All 8 of them body blocked our warrior, he couldn't do a thing. We tried dropping the relic but it was of no use.
The warrior died after the seed ran out and the prot monk had no more energy for rc. The iway's response was along the lines of this:

Haha noob, you skipped here like us.
You got totally pwned you suck hard.

And it kept going like this, with nobody of them saying anything nice, and i was like, come on, we fought our way here, we had our skips too, true. We body blocked, you body blocked, but there's no reason to act like this, is there?
Some iways are nice, and congratulate you on a well executed balanced build, some can't stand they're losing, but i hate it when they get fun out of griefing.

While in the lvl 10 and below arena yesterday, we had a very strong team going, we were at 51 wins in a row, most battles ended under 1min on timer... Then we ran head on into a team with 2 warriors, they took down our team eventualy, but couldnt take down our warrior.. both of them beat on him for about 30 mins, when he finaly got 1 of them down. at 90 mins on timer, our whole team was still waiting, their team consited on him and the other warrior, rest all left... It was a very pointless battle as u can guess, and they refused to let us have the win, even after we explained our winning streak and such, they just cried about our builds, not that their warrior (draknors armor, supperior absob) was exactly on lvl either. So just to see what would happen, neither used any skills at all, and long story short, we lost....
Jerk part 1 is, they wouldnt give us the win, even after all that time and our warrior had just lvled up to 11 and wouldnt beable to come back into those arenas, they were lvl 10 and 8, could have easily relaunched...
Jerk part 2 is, we were a random p/u team, as expected in there, yet they, while refusing to just zone or die, were on same team and sitting right next to each other...
Jerk part 3 is the fact that that was their first battle since launch, so they werent giving up any winning streak at all.

thing is however, regardless of your wins, they were still left alive. pointless or not they kept the battle going. if at the end of the day you all died rather than mention it as jerks etc, shouldnt you just be saying gg and leave it at that?

we did leave it on a gg note, well till after the battle, whispered to see what shield and axe he was using to find myself ignored for no reason at all

I disagree with calling them jerks just because they wouldnt give up on a win that could have just as much been their's as it could have been yours. Also, its kinda of a crappy way to win when the other team just gives up when they still could have possibly beaten you..not fair to expect someone to do that regardless of the circumstances.

New jerk story. This one makes me pretty sad.

This happened during a run at Riverside Province, and I was using my new monk. Everything seemed to be going well, and I had already traveled with some of the people in the party, including the jerk. The guy hadn't been a jerk before, so I wonder what happened.

Anyway, I get a PM from one of the other players, which is the first message in my pic. After all that was said, we went on for a bit (and I stopped even looking at this guy's health bar). Then, I noticed that we were getting chewed up pretty badly, a lot worse than before. That's when I notice that the jerk has stopped doing anything at all. He's the only War in the group, and it doesn't take me long to figure out he was dealing most of our damage. I didn't want to deal with this <censored> anymore, so I explained quickly and left. After that, I got in contact with the initial player again, and we both decided that this guy needed a ban. Double Report! >:D

Ok well I have 2 encounters. here is the first one

I was recruiting for my guild because we lost a lot of members and a lot of people werent active. So my officers and I get probably 15 people in one day and I promote this one kid to officer so this is where the problem starts.

Me: I would like to welcome all of the new members to the guild!
Jerk: Why should he get to be a officer he is a n00b!
Me: He is my friend and he helped me to get some money for recruitment so I respect him.
Jerk: But he just joined today he shouldn't be a officer plus he is a n00b.
So I then promote all of the new active members to officer to help the recruitment process go by faster.
Me: Ok well now all of you are now officers to help with recruiting. This will hopefully get our guild off to a new start !
So now this jerk is staring to start problems with my other friend.
Jerk: YOU KNOW WHAT!?!?! YOU ARE A NOOB AND YOU SHOULD BURN IN HELL AND DIE!
Me: Ok you have to calm down or you will be punished.
Jerk: GO AHEAD AND KIK ME I DONT F****** CARE ITS NOT THAT HARD TO FIND A GUILD!
Me: Ok c ya jerk!
Then I kick him from my guild. Then probably about 5mins later another person pms and he has a similar name to the person I just kicked. So I put both names on ignore.

My second jerk encounter. I was in Camp Rankor I was waiting for my friend to return because he was Afk.

Jerk: Hey.
Me: Umm hi.
Jerk: You remember me .
Me: I am sorry but I dont.
Jerk: Yes you do you said the next time that I sign on you would give me 10k.
Me: Um I am sorry but I dont know you. You must be taking me for another person.
Jerk: No no no. You said that to me and I wrote down your name on a piece of paper. You said that you would give me 10k does that ring a bell?!?
(So now I wait to see if he took me for another person but he kept on insisting)
Jerk: Listen if you dont give me my 10k I am going to report you.
Me: What!?!?! I never said that to you and what is your proof?
(He then doesnt respond for 10mins)
Jerk: Just give me my damn money
Me: Okay you are on my nerves I just reported you for harassment and for trying to item scam me.
Jerk: OMG! I am so sorry please forgive me!! Please dont report me!
Me: Well to bad I already did.
(As you see he tried to cover up for himself after I reported him.)

Here´s my jerk story...

I was playing with a random team in the jungle, the mission where you are supposed to capture teleporters before the White Mantle. Before we are entering that area the team decides to try the bonus as well, to assasinate a White Mantle boss.

The last thing I say before we proceed is: Now remember, our primary goal is to keep the White Mantle to gain control over all of the teleporters, or it´s game over.

We now proceed and every team member starts to look for the bonus-boss, and not attacking the White Mantle cristal runner, so I think, ok, I´ll try to get the teleporters then. What happens is that my teammembers start to die one by one, and I´m the only one with rez. So I have to run around and rez my teammembers AND keep the White Mantles from gaining control over the teleporters. After about 20 mins they finally kill the boss, don´t know why it took them so long. And it all begins:

Unknown dude: YAY, finally. It was hard, but it was worth it.
Jerk: yeah, it wouldn´t have taken so long if didn´t have a noob in our team who´s only trying to get free xp... Devon...
Me: Sorry, what? Me?
Jerk: Yeah you, you didn´t help us, if I could I would kick you from the team.
Jerk: you are a *cursing, cursing cursing cursing* noob...
Me: So you mean rezzing you isn´t helping, keep the teleporters from the White Mantle isn´t helping?
Jerk: We wouldn´t need rezzing if you were helping us, and the white mantle don´t try to get the teleporters if we attack them.
Me: I´m sorry to break this to you, but yes they do.
Jerk: No they don´t, you are just to much of a noob to realize that
Me: lol.. one of us acts like noob, thats for sure...
Jerk: yes, you... I will put you on my ignore list after this mission
Me: PLEASE DO!!!

I got really pissed during this conversation, but I didn´t want to sink to his level, so I really had to calm myself down to keep my end of the conversation at a mature level... Wasn´t easy, I´ll tell ya´

Where do I start. My last character was a Monk, as Mesmers don't seem to get any love in PvE. Anyway I had a group who was off gutting Sorrow's Furnace. We had just entered SF and this one warrior we had was giving us all orders. We got to that first open area inside SF and that same warrior goes off and aggroes about 3 different groups at once, so we have three Deep Knights, two Surveyors and a few Taskmasters all over us. Me and the other Monk are healing as fast as we can and we win in the end. However, that one fight cost me and the other Monk all our Energy and we declare it. That one warrior doesn't listen and goes to aggro a group of Stone Summit and two groups of Dredge when me and the other Monk only had about 15 Energy each. So we all run to help, me and my Monk friend are trying desperately to keep people alive, casting Orison and Word of Healing the instant we get enough Energy and that one warrior dies. She demands that we rez, but we don't have the energy or time to rez without watching our body count rise. So we do win, with her cussing us out the whole time. The entire group then chewed her out and she started cussing out the whole group. I put her on my Ignore list about 15 seconds after the verbal war started. Everyone left soon thereafter. Apparently they couldn't tolerate her either.

My newest character is a lvl18 Minion Master. +16 death drok/grotto armor combo, perfect moded collector bone staff.

So, I'm standing around in War Camp lfg for some oro farming, and some guy out of the blue starts ragging on my lvl18 character and saying that I suck.

This is just one of many types of jerks I encounter on a regular basis.


I have a standard procedure for these people. Since my ignore list is full, I have to make a choice to delete someone from it, then add the new jerk to the list. My usual comment is: Welcome to my ignore list "B*tch".


You really want a worthy update, then expand the ignore list to add more people!

Maybe it would be easier to have a button that ignores everyone except people on your friends list. jk

I'm an experienced Echo SS (usually do FoW and SF) that's finally getting around to the 2-man UW invincimonk-SS/SV team. I go pretty much with anyone who will take me because I'm new at it and just looking to get the feel for it.

The 55 and I are doing well, enemies drop fast at the beginning and we make our way to the smites. The first mob of smites drops the first ecto and it's assigned to me. With one final smite alive the 55 then runs right at me. I'm thinking he's running low on energy so I give him a proactive BR (health sacrifice), the next thing I know I've been hit twice by the smite, I start running away (health is about 20 of 515), the aggro goes back on the 55.

The lightbulb upstairs still doesn't go on (LOL)...He's tanking the smite at a distance, I walk a few steps toward him and he starts running back to me again with the smite aggro. I finally realize what's going on. I run back over the bridge, heal up and come back for the ecto. This time he's got a few more smites on him and he starts running right at me again. I veer to the right, then cut left (like Barry Sanders ) around him, take one hit from a smite and pick up the ecto. He then suicides and leaves.

Go team.

1 ecto drops and the 55 monk becomes an ass, so sad just for 1 ecto.

I don’t care if the main purpose of a mission is the bonus 1 player said at the beginning that they had never done this mission before.
You never lave a group just because you can’t get what you want. Especially because up to this point the group was doing very well and they did everything that he said.
Anyway do you think I over reacted?
