Server Speed Feedback Needed

great server speeds, but i have no idea why but every single day at 1:48 AM GMT+1 i cant connect for a couple minutes - half an hour, i got no idea why but its always at the same time

might be awstats running.. thanks for the info

Seems fine for me except i only really log on 4-12 pm EST

It's been down for me twice tonight, as well. We've submitted trouble tickets and are looking into it.

Had horrible response times last night. Search didn't work, most times out, couldn't edit posts, wouldn't even load the edit screen, that resulted in a "friendly warning" (?) and a rude response to read the forum guidlines, many broken frames in loading new threads, 90+ second post times, and just general overall slowness. symptoms lasted a few hours, 1:00Am to 4:00AM Mountain Time (-7 GMT I believe).

Edit: Weirdness continues tonight. Replying to a few threads results in my post appearing as the first, and the OP is at the bottom. Post numbers are in order, but not on the correct posts. I SS one, but can't upload it anywhere until I get home from work.

downtime due to EV1 router problems, arghh

For the last few days the forums have been excruciatingly slow. Numerous time outs, and 30second plus post times. The number of duplicate and triplicate posts/threads suggest that I'm not the only one experiencing these porblems.

I'm with Hockster ^^ - things have seemed pretty slow to load for the last few days.

Any chance the new auction system's generated a LOT more traffic or is somehow otherwise bogging down the server?

The editing posts and quick reply is taking a long time

I made a post in Riverside, but I'll explain further here. Yesterday the number of requests being made to the database was high because of the auction. We resolved this by caching the auction page, and it worked wonderfully. The problems we had today were completely seperate of that and server-side. But that too has been resolved.

Very slow again at 17:08 GMT, not sure if it's coinciding with the stats collection mentioned in other thread. Can that be rescheduled? 5pm+ many people will be coming back from work etc. and maybe looking on here.

Edit: 17:16 edit/post went very slow again

Edit again: 17:20, getting standard IE "DNS not found" type message every now and then, severe delays, only for this forum no other website.

Read in the Riverside forum...under DDOS Attack...Inde explains what is going on...

Oh lol just read (finally got onto that page) yeah speeded up again now, seems to come and go.

Is GWG again under DDOS attack?

I have only about a 30% success rate accessing the forums. They have been taking very long to load, and I usually get a Page Cannot Be Found message. When they do load it is spotty whether or not I will be able to post or get into a thread once I am in a forum.
This has been happening to me for at least this week. I notice that first thing in the morning when I check ~7 central things seem to go pretty decently for about 1/2 hour.
