The Frog was in Lion's Arch, International District 1 this evening. The link below is a combined picture of what I saw, I am not sure how much was said before I was there:

>>Link<<

Alternate Link

A few things were mentioned.

+Alesia will be getting some work done on her.
+The Elementalist class most likely will have to figure out new strategies for AoE.
+Something about the trade situation, whether a Trade Hall will be implemented or not, is being considered.
+Observer mode was mentioned again.
+Tormentor armor is in the works of being implemented.
+The "kick party member" was talked about, the frog did not like it very much, but something will be done about it.
+There were a few mentions about the new class, how the frog liked it, and the name of a new area for chapter two, Cantha.
+The frog was eager for input for ideas about new classes, someone kept on spamming a Shapeshifter class until the Frog asked about it.
+General cosmetic ideas were talked about, weapons viewable within towns, character accesories (jewelry), and Guild Hall decorations were things that the frog was eager to talk about.
+The Ghostly Hero is getting an "amendment", whatever that means, I don't PvP, so I am not sure what that meant.
+Dual wielding... not going to be seen in this chapter, maybe chapter 2.
+Guild Hall storage, the Frog was worried that there would be thieving.

There are other things too, be sure to read the list.

I didn't capture shots with what people said because there was so much to go through, so if you don't understand something, someone else might be able to explain it.

If anyone has information on whatever I missed before the beginning of the picture, please fill in.

Very nice. I hope they put inter-guild sparring, and even hostile ambient life out there some day(guildhall). It would be cool to even defend against an assult by a random army from the PvE groups(undead, White Mantle).

Also, bigger battles of more than 8v8 would be very welcome to me!!

I do hope the banners and flags would host the guild's emblem...

And storage, even a merchent would be nice there as well.

Tormentor's set "-very-" soon. I recall getting the "very soon" answer over two months ago. I want that goddamn update!

In fact, I want 20k waiting for me in my storage for having waited so long for it!

Oh Noes! The 'burbs!

I want new emotes. Specifically, an emote that denotes complete disgust with the current situation: collapsing on the ground and lying there in total passive rebellion. lol

The rest of the stuff mentioned sounds intriguing. Hadn't considered the possibility of theft in the guild hall. Perhaps that's what was meant when security was mentioned some time in the last two weeks. Sorry, can't remember where I read it.

Oh, but Pie, really, I don't think I've said "very soon," and I'm fairly sure that Froggie has not used "very" either. I can say that I agree with you that "very soon" does not mean "2 months from now!"

I'm thinking you won't need to use your fingers and toes on this one.

I never said it was you who gave me the very soon response. I've gone and bitched to just about everyone I knew about the 15k tormentors set for a long time now. I never even spoke to Froggie about it, though, because someone did every time and it was always something like "yeah yeah we're aware of it, we apologize for it's tardiness", etc. 'Cept in Froggie talk. I think I pmed you sometime in July or August or something, longer than 2 months ago.

The "kick party member" option has the danger of being abused. But it would be most welcome! I would love to kick a player that was being obnoxious or performing a tactic (like running) which was opposed to the wishes of the rest of the group.

About the guild storage... how about just having a xunlani agent there to access your own storage as well? And have only guild leader/officers allowed to access any "public" guild storage? *shrugs*

kick partymember has indeed the issue of being abused...
I usually let obnoxious players just die, and don't res. That's the same effect as a kick.Fortunately I have not been in need to do this frequently. Only one time have I been grieved so badly that the player drawed all aggro deliberately back to the group. Considering my amount of playtime, I can live with it.
I am not sure about wether the added benefit of this function will outweigh the possible abuses.

Guild Storage... Just let the leader give permissions with a tab on the window, which could state who, when and what a certain member could take. Maybe allow only one item in the storage at a time?

guild storage: have the ability to tag items as personal and public. space determined by # of players perhaps? leave the gold as a setting for the guild leader. not perfect, but a good balance.

Actually, my main interest in a kick party member option is due to some recent experiences had by me and my friends. We are dead set against running anything, for example the Iron Mines infusion or when travelling from point A to point B in the desert. We make this wish VERY clear to all party members before starting the mission or the travel. However on many occasions there still was a party member who then decided on his/her own that he/she wanted to run anyway. For us, at the moment, there are only two options: leave the group, map back and start over or accept the running. We are very much opposed to accepting the running. A third possibility would be to "kick the party member" before he/she got to the next portal or outpost or mission cutscene. I would very much like to be able to do this.

A way to avoid the abuse of a kick party member option is to not allow a member to be kicked as long as there still is an unclaimed reserved item for him/her on the ground. This would mean that a person could not be kicked because he/she just got a rare item drop. And since reserved drops become unreserved after some time, a person who is deserving to be kicked could not use this as anti-kick protection.

A good implementation for the "kick party member" would be a vote system. Perhaps the group leader can click on the name and click kick player, which in turn would start a vote that everyone else (besides the one being kicked) can choose to accept or deny the vote. That ought to cease abuse as much as possible.

Please, my guild is crying out for this one.

The Elementalist class most likely will have to figure out new strategies for AoE.
In other words : there will be no adjustments to any skills for elementalists ( most likely this also applies to smiter monks ) . Why don't they just scrap those skills then ?? or the entire classes of fire elementalists and smiter-monks ?? I don't have an elementalist or smiter myself - so forget about attacking me on that - but I do understand the frustration of having spent countless hours getting a build exactly right , only to see it demolished by an unannounced update .

all the recent updates ( except the toggable helmet/cape ) have been entirely focused on getting people to play PvP . Even if they have no desire to do so at all.

You're annihilating a huge number of folks from the game , and - quite frankly- this is intentional and you don't care about it at all. I remember a post saying Anet would listen to the complaints and act accordingly to make adjustments . From what I'm reading in this post nothing could be further from the truth . it's an attitude of "deal with it , it isn't going to change " .

If Anet doesn't want players to play PvE , why don't come out and say so and be done with it . All actions in recent weeks have indicating it , but no-one dares saying it .

As it is now : the only incentive to play PvE is to unlock skills for PvP .This entails spending huge amount of playing hours to develop a character , then deleting it - not likeliy , but that's what you want - in order to make a PvP character out of it .

PvP is utterly boring and not at all "fun " for loads of people , but these folks are simply ignored .

this might be true , i know some people who left guildwars , becose pve makes them feel stuck. people who come from classic rpgs like swg with 10 huge planets and no borders of any kind , feel in prison inside guildwars .. and normaly they hate pvp .. what they love is to ride a bird in the endless desert , feel they really are there. i love guildwars , and i will play for a long time .. but i sure would like to see some huge open areas in chapter 2 . and for pvp .. without 1vs1 or all for all like death match just gets boring.imo.

Hogwash! If you read the recent threads, a lot of people who play PVE are perfectly content with the recent changes, although some AI tweaking, in particular for the henchies, would be appreciated.

You are incorrect with the statement "the only incentive to play PvE is to unlock skills for PvP". Have you taken a poll? More correctly would be to write something on the order of "for a part of the community the only incentive to play PvE is to unlock skills for PvP". Also correct would be the statement "for a part of the community, PVE is the main point of playing GW, and for a part of the community who like playing PVE, the recent changes are perfectly ok".

Why write such definite statements that can't be substantiated?

"Very soon" is alot better than just soon(tm) that is extreemly common with update discussions. Like someone else said its prolly this week or next week, since its probably just a cosmetic change. I'm just surprised it didnt get altered when the other armors did.

I suggest YOU read all the threads more carefully and look at the general mood about the recent changes - especially with people playing PvE only .

a Large majority thinks the changes are not good at all, and need to be adjusted at the very least ( no-one is asking for a roll-back of the update , just adjusting it and adjusting the skill-sets most affected ) .

From what that frog-talk is indicating not even that will happen .Do you have a smiter - monk that you built before this update?? Or a fire - elementalist?? Ask those people how they feel . They have invested huge amount of time to get their build right and it's all been in vain.

So much for listening to input from community .It's also quite apparent - from what I'm reading in that frog-talk , nearly all the stuff coming up will be meant to cater for PvP -players.

Oh, and I suppose spirit spammers and spiker interrupt rangers never worked on their builds? Seriously, the only reason this is being complained about so much is because it's one of the "popular" classes that people THINK was nerfed. If you don't have one, don't complain about it, especially since you can't really know how it affected us. I mainly play an ele, and I don't think the changes were bad. I've still farmed SF several times since the update using my regular skillset.

Not a bad idea. Or maybe instead of not being able to be kicked (fight, they see a drop for themselves and then do whatever they want) that the item is placed in the "Items Missed" box you get after missions if they are kicked.
