About the guild storage. . .a community vault would be fine with me. I have plenty of things I don't need, most of them non-perfect upgrades or spare materials. I could pop over to my guild hall and toss the items in storage, with the hopes that someone else would find a use for them, rather than having to ask "does anyone need <insert item name here>". That also only works if everone is on (not often, many of us have rl things going on)
I don't think the idea behind the guild storage was to get each player more storage (though maybe it was) I think it was a way for the guild to store items that players no longer need, but that other players might want. Need 50 bolts of cloth? Check the guild storage, maybe someone put some in that they didn't need.
Sure, it can be abused by thieves, but if you are in a guild with thieves I question whether you are one also, and if not, why you are still in the guild.

I'm thinking you won't need to use your fingers and toes on this one. |
Quote was posted on the sixteenth of November, and here it is 40 minutes after midnight just entering December 7th.
Sorry, but I had to quote this for the singular purpose that I've run out of fingers and toes to use. The quote was regarding the release of the updated 15k tormentors armor for those who didn't read the first page. PieXags will be patient longer, however. PieXags often turned in a lot of his work late in high school, and can...understand setbacks. :P

I'm guessing ArenaNet is trying to farm up enough Deldrimor Steel to build the prototype.
Ironic?
Ironic?

Ok, so the latest news is -- honestly, the latest news as of today, for I again asked about this subject:
"We're putting in the Tormentor's Armor really soon, Gaile," says my esteemed associate.
"Oh, really?" says I, "Would 'soon' be maybe within the week? You do realize I said 'You don't need all your fingers and toes to count the days' and we're running out of appendages here?"
"Well, 'soon' is right. Probably. Unless someone decides that he doesn't like you and then we won't put it in and you can be embarrased in front of the entire community."
Yeah, in addition to being an excellent game designer, James Phinny is quite the comedian, too.

I want to see a way to decustomize weapons. Either by a quest, or a rare item drop from a chapter 2 (or new) zone that can be turned in to decustomize 1 item. Armor drops would be cool too, and then "droks" and "15k" weapons.

not only that.. who is to say that someone in the guild gets personally insulted by some mis-understanding? or a feirce argument takes place.. then takes off with the loot as revenge. Perfectly innocent, mild-tempered people can turn very evil, very quickly.
there are so many cases of guilds and clans throughout history splitting up, whilst the actual value of the contents may be insignificant, it would still happen just out of pure spite!
Its not about the items and their usefullness.. people would take them just to sell them for money, not to use the item! which means genuine people miss out on those items.
people come and go through guilds, officers come and go also.. the guild leader himself could even be guilty of abusing this... people LOVE to abuse things like this and you simply cant build a system based around trust, it just wont work..
Having your items on display for people to ASK you for is much better than having your items on display for just anyone to help themselves.
This is why guild storage is taking so long.. because its not as simple as people think! and noone really knows how it would work reliably and fairly!

For Guild Storage why not make it so that all Guild Members can see all the items in storage but they can only remove what they added. You hover over an item and it shows who deposited the item, you can then whisper said guildie and say "Hey I noticed you had XXXX in the guild storage, are you gonna use it?" Then that person can decide whether to let you use the item or not. They then remove the item from storage adn trade with the other player. Simple and easy.
As for the Kick party member option being abused for drops. They already have code that shows you all unclaimed items at the end of a mission that are assigned to you. Wouldnt take much to add that code to the kick party member function. You kick someone, they get a message in town saying they were kicked and a window with all there unclaimed drops. Another easy and simple way to go.

No doubt about it, the kick party member option has been abused by some people. But thats no line to take it out. it can be neccesary sometimes. if someone lies to you about proffesion or lvl, you should be able to kick that person, rather than start a whole new group.

Tarus From Taros
Cantha being a new area in chapter two is very unlikely. I think Cantha is just the home of all Guild Halls, I don't see them making Cantha an explorable location anytime soon. If anything, there will be more guildhalls to choose from, that's it.
Dual wielding is inevitable. Seeing how the assasin is very similar to her d2 counterpart, i would expect this class to be able to do so.
Kick party member could never happen. It's obvious that the exploits would overshadow its usefulness. Perhaps a team vote for kicking a party member would be more efficient, but it too would be exploitable.
