I'd rather see a hair-stylist than a name change. It's much more plausible to think that one can change his/her hair, but to change a name seems too... Meh. No thanks.

hmmm, I sweat bulles over my IGNs since I'll be stuck with them forever per say, same for appearance. I've often thought that if you own all the expansions you should be able to mix and match from any of them during character creation, but that's off topic.

Not too sure about the name changer option but count me in for the ability to change certain parts of appearance, Don't think you should be allowed to mod faces or height, that's bordering on the bizzare.

I guess thats why they hesitated at the idea from the start, but im sure they could think of something to allow us to name change and not screw up the database ^__^

I see no reason why not to put this in, if someone made a mistake in their name or no longer likes then name *the latter happens to me a lot* then we should be able to change the name without deleting the character, I have a character with legendary survivor and I dont wanna delete him for a name change, so I made a second with my new name, but having to lvl him and not die is very annoying to me, so I have a reason to support this, and I see no reason why not to support this, if you don't have a character to change the name of, then who knows when you will.

How about you resist the temptation to make a stupid name for a PvE character that you will regret after a thousand hours of gameplay? Too many people in this game name their characters something "hilarious," but the hilarity fades by the time you hit Yak's Bend even.

whoever suggested to make it on the hb name change formant said a good idea, a once a month thing + maybe an additional goldsink for it would be great.

Say you name an elementalist "Fires of Dread" or whatever, and dress it up accordingly. Then when you get into the game really deep and get really good you realize you want to be an air elementalist instead of a fire elementalist. Sooooo the way it is now you'd have to start all over to change your name but if you implemented all the other stuff you could simply change your name/whatever and you'd be able to keep your character.
It doesn't have to be a dumb reason that you'd want to change your name, it could simply be a change of mood or a misunderstanding.
And that's my two cents until this topic gets a poll.

but give it a time limit between ea. name change, like it can only be done once every couple of months, like WoW and maybe a price fee of a couple K, so if some1 really wants to change their name because of hate, they will gladly raise up the money to change it unlike the fact if they want to do it just to abuse it, they will be wasting their money

I also got that as a reply to a support ticket i submitted to PlayNC. One of my characters was named after someone close to me who is no longer with us, and... bleh i'd just really really really REALLY like to change it. I'd gladly take a 72 hour ban if i could change that character's name.

I totally agree because with GW2 coming out, your new gw2 character has bonuses with tiles with its corresponding name. And since i made my file name luxon stee (and the luxons no longer being there) I would love to change my name.
