I had an idea, just a hunch, but wouldn't the elite skill, "Spell Breaker" be amazing here? Imagine, they all try to cast on you and it fails! Then all there is left is their pesky damage...oh wait...they do -0 damage to me.

Now if only we could get around Spell Breakers rough cooldown time.

Edit: Ah damnit, Spell Breaker is linked to Divine Favor, coulda sworn it was linked to Protection though.

Oh well

I've been fiddling with this build since for the past few hours, and I must say it is quite awesome. I'm too cheap to buy runes, and too lazy to go and cap Defy Pain. Even without 'em though, I'm doing fairly well. So far I have only been able to take out a maximum of three Hydra at a time; however, that sure is one hell of an improvement over my barely being able to manage one with my Elementalist.

Many thanks to you for posting this.

Pretty neat build. I was thinking of giving it a shot, but I wanted to cap defy pain first. Problem is that I read on net that Defy Pain is capped from Obrhit Barkwood in Frozen Forest and I have literally combed the dang area multiple times and and the only bosses I see are all necro and 1 warrior (with Cleave Elite). It's getting quite frustrating. Where the heck do you cap Defy Pain at???

Oh I forgot, I did see one monk boss too. Why so many necro bosses?

Description

Clobberhusk is a Pinesoul Warrior boss. This boss will only spawn about 1 in 4 times, however it is visible right from the entrance, so it doesn't take long to get it to spawn. Sometimes Quickroot or Poisonbough spawns in that spot. Clobberhusk hangs out with 3 or 4 Ice Imps, and can be tough to kill with only henchmen.

Location

* Southern Shiverpeaks
o Lornar's Pass (just east of Beacon's Perch) Step outside Beacon's Perch in Lornar's Pass and look up the hill while holding down ctrl or alt and look for the name Clobberhusk. You may have to rezone a few times before he appears. You have to go through several Pinesoul, Ice Imps, Seige Golems, and Avicara to get to him, but he's not far from the exit.

i believe you can also cap it off a boss called Clobberhusk right outside beacons perch a little to the east

heres a info link http://www.guildwiki.org/wiki/Clobberhusk

Thanks guys. I was wondering if another boss somewhere else had it. I must've pulled some old info when I googled the skill. Just curious, but how much of often is Anet likely to move skills from boss to boss or location to location?

OMG...I like how the description says that the boss will spawn about 1 out of 4 times. I just tried 15 times and did not see him (or any other boss spawn). I guess I'm a statistical anamoly. I'll try it later and hope I have better luck.
.
.
.
Hmmm, another 12-15 times and still no boss. I wonder what is up.

Well, I exited the game and tried it again and the boss spawned after 2nd try. I wonder if it was some kind of bug or something.

Are you sure you're looking at the right place? After exiting Beacon's Perch, you have to go forward and left a bit, and look up. There should be three or so ice imps and a boss (sometimes there's no boss spawn though)

You should try a variation of this...

My brain is thinking max tactics and max healing with glads defence means uber damage for riposte + defence.... just wondering how not to get knocked down

Also another option for all you ex-griff farmers would be using HH... should work fine... in theory

To OP: Where do you find the enchanted hammers?

o yeah the answer to your question (post above)

when you leave augury to the noth exit , if you head south you'll eventualy end up near them patroling by another portal.

well the trick is that my build has 0 swordsmanship , that means retirbtion + holy wrath only do 0 dmg to me and give me 2 energy on hits , the only time im in danger is during the sigit of judgment spikes, but they're not to bad.

I was just experimenting with a similar riposte build using this skill set:

1 - Hundred Blades
2 - Watch Yourself
3 - Dolyak Sig
4 - Deadly Riposte
5 - Riposte
6 - Mend ailment or Watchful Spirit (haven't really needed it)
7 - Healing Sig
8 - Sprint or Flurry

Strength - 12+ (for 18+ second Dolyak Sig, VERY important)
Tactics - 12+, as high as you can go

No glad's defense, just to keep incoming hits generating adrenelin non-stop. Hundred Blades was just for more quick adrenelin, though I'm pretty sure Flurry alone could suffice. Either way, it worked against augury hydras, mhago's, flesh golems, etc... Had to heal-sig a lot, but heal sig can't be chiblain'd or stripped away, and you can still use riposte/deadly-riposte while heal-sig'ing for simultaneous healing and damage output. I'm still playing with the build, but results are looking good.

thats a pretty cool setup but then again , hundred blades and your only adrenaline skill is riposte O_O , thats a bit much for just a riposte which cost 4 energy, if your taking HB i suggest you get swordmanship on the go or otherwise its a waste, like thats a spike of adrenline every 8 secs for a skill that cost 4 adrenaline , with constat flurry+balthazars spirit i can get 2-3 ripostes in ever flurry (5 secs).

Oh, I forgot to mention that my toon has 11-sword, so HB hits fairly hard. I was soloing Mursaat with the above set-up last night, but had to use Watchful Spirit to offset the Spectral Agony attacks. I also started playing with Fear-Me vs. hydras... less monster energy = more melee attacks running into ripostes.

It's a shame that the Mhago's and Flesh Golems had their drops nerfed

Warrior/Mesmer

Attributes:
8 inspiration
12(11+1) strength
14(11+3) tactics (sup rune)

Skills:
For Great Justice!
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Gladiators defense {E}
Doylak signet
Elemental resistance
Watch yourself!
Healing Signet

Strategy:

Put on elemental resistance about like 5 secs before battle
Put doylak on right before you get baraged with meteors
Use For great justice and start hacking away at one
Riposte, Deadly Riposte, Watch yourself, Healing Signet(might have to use healing signet twice)
Gladiators Defense
Once glads runs out switch back to elemental resistance.
Riposte, deadly riposte until they die, and maybe glads again if you want

Tip:

Use Riposte and Deadly Riposte at the same time for burst damage on the same target. It seems to kill them faster, at least to me.

Only use healing signet when you have BOTH doylak and watch yourself up.

I can do about 6 at a time with a little struggle... and I'm not that good of a farmer (I normally do about half of what people say they can do)

HOT DAMN!

Replace elemental resistance with physical resistance and FGJ with Bonnetis and you have a troll owning machine!
/me laughs at -0 -1 -1 -0 -3 -0 -0 -0 -1 -3 -0 -0 -3 -1 from trolls
Takes some practice though :X

Well, I just now got around to try out the build and I like it. I works great on those hydras outside of augury just like you said. I also tried it out on the mountain trolls north of droknars forge too. I only went on about 3 runs at the hydras and 2 on the trolls and got diddly squat for drops, but overall thanks for the build and it works well. I'm not one for farming much since I just get bored with it pretty quick, but at least the build and the farming spots are there for when I do feel like farming.

Gj doing it with a war...I didn't read anything beyond the first page but anywho. I've been farming hydras for months and saw nothing on them on the forums...I just thought no one else farmed them..anyways I used 55 and never die. I've found a few black dyes, gold items and always comeback with 4k worth of gold/items...biggest run I've had is 10k worth of stuff...so it's pretty good. *Salute*
