Interesting name, and a great item that can be found from a collector in the Pockmark Flats. For 3 Scorched Lodestones you can pick one up.
The big deal about this item is that it's an axe with "Improves skill recharge (10% chance)" that you can naturally upgrade with a 20% enchanting mod for an axe. Depending on which you prefer, 10% improved skill recharge on this axe, or the +5 energy on the HoD sword, you can save yourself several hundred platinum trying to get the discontinued sword.
It isn't optimal for IW mesmers however, since this axe does have -10 Armour when attacking.

That and the dmg is kinda low, but yeah we had a monk using it in FoW the other night. she told us where to get one.
also theres an axe out now that doesnt have the dmg of a HoD axe, but will still have the +25 health built in, as you can change the grip and the +25 health will not be overridden. So many people are trying to scam this as the denravi axe now.

I know faster casting speed stacks (2 second restore life was fun), however I've never really watched my skills. I know I've used a 10% and a 20% and it looks like some of my spells charge much faster on occasion if I was just using one.

I went looking for this collector a while back and he wasn't where GuildWiki reported him to be, was he moved at some point? Is he south of Serenity / east of Ranik?

Your contry MUST have favor for that collector to be there. And he is exactly where Wiki says he is when you have favor.

Wow, I've never heard of a collector tied to favor!
So do you enter the zone when you have favor and he's there for as long as you are in the instance or will he appear if you wait for the region to get favor?

you have to enter the zone when your region has favor. I am giving you this info because someone tried to scam me with this axe saying it was removed (he wanted 3 ectos for it and was acting like it was a rush) I looked up on guild wiki where the axe was located and went there and no collector. I thought I missed out on a bargain for 3 ectos. Then I stubornly went back and found the collector a second time. but I didnt have the lodestones and had to log off. So I went a third time with the lodestones and he was gone AGAIN. The only diference between try 2 and 3 was favor because I had to log off then log back in shortly after (in that short time we lost favor) so I waited till we got favor again and tried a 4th time and he was there PHEW.
Yeah I was wondering why this collector is tied to favor myself, but it is definately tied to favor. I picked up a bunch of the axes and if you look me up in game "Hire Ed" I can give you one of them (if you havent already traded the collector for one) Wierd I know, but true.

This mod works on all skills. I use this axe when I do Droknars Runs, sometimes (10% of the time) balanced stance is ready befrore "charge" is even recharged. It is awesome when I can be in balanced stance with almost 0 cooldown time. The people that you are running have no clue about how sweet that is though
In my opinion this is by far the best weapon to use on Droknars forge runs (except if you had a 15% flame spitter before the nerf) I use a fort. mod on it, but I am thinking about putting armor on instead, because degen isnt hurting me as much as I thought it would.

I got one last night while Europe had favor (I'm on American) so there is some other factor, perhaps he was getting killed by monsters?

Do you know if your region had favor or not? I had gone looking for him a couple of times before without success and this time he was there, and it doesn't seem to be favor since my region didn't have it.

I went on 3 runs for him, and found him on the third. During these runs, America had favor. I believe he is a random collector, in that he randomly spawns in a fixed location.

Me and a friend went looking for this Collector out of Pockmark Flats for 30 mins and found nothing. We searched everywhere in that area. And we had favor.

Thought I'd put in my 2 bits worth.
I went out once (started from frontier gate to hit other collectors along the way). When I got to Pockmark Flats there were more Storm Riders out there than anything else by a huge margin. There was only a small number of the stone elementals or whatever they are called. I got to where wiki said he would be and nothing. Started out again from Serenity Temple and ran down to where he should be. Instead of the overwhelming numbers of Storm riders there were the stone guys and devourers along with a few riders. When I got to where he should be, there he was standing like he owned the place. I have no I dea what controls whether or not he is there, America had favor both time I went out and I am on an American server, but there was a definite difference in the types of creatures that spawned. in the end, glad I have my fiery flame spitter hope the info helps those who are looking for one ghostlyranger
they guy do not tie to favor, i went there 2 time without favor, and got it second times.
first, i just walk there, killing everything on the way. he did not spawn, and the place is empty, not even a single monster second time, i run there, some devourer and storm riders spawn there, and he is there, i think it might be some bug in the map,

This axe works great on many builds. i have a couple of them as they serve many purposes. and yes it does work on all skills. fast recharge sprint and balanced stance = fun.

The Plasma Sword is found from a collector in Dragon's Gullet. Not sure if you can get it still.

The guildwiki picture of his location is slightly off... the collector is a bit left of where it's indicated, and holding down Alt won't show him as you're not close enough.
On the plus side, I went and bought a few in case it ever does get nerfed.
