Got one last night. It's a little quirky to find, but the collector is right behind a big wall where some ruins are...and two of those stormy eye things.

I think I lucked out on the enchant mod. The difference between 9% and 10% on the furious is absurd - People were asking 45-50K for the 10% furious. This will do for my Monk or Necro farmer

Care to elaborate? I know I would personally use this over the HoD Sword in both PvE and PvP, and that sword sells for 400k+.

He meant the Plasma Sword. HoD swords are just called "Long Sword", which really isn't a cool name.

I have made a point of collecting most of the items with cool names.
When im in groups and ppl ping their weapon Ctrl+Weapon:
Im a weilding a Yadda Yadda Blah Blah.
I respond with:
Im weilding a Shocking Plamsa Blade and a Bulwark of Balthazar.
or Fiery Flame Spitter and a Runic Shield.
They get ppl talking more than some "L33t 5000 EKto W3pons"
On a more serious note there are other interesting and useful items found from collectors in Ascalon especially.
The collecter outside of Sardelac sanitarium carries a "Ascalon Aegis" Armour6 req4 +10armour Vs Charr and +10 Vs Elemental Dam.
This I actuall used when farming the end game Lv24 charr as they tend to use Greater Conflagration so a 26 Armoour shield isnt too bad.
Interestingly the same collector has a bow on offer that is equiped with 2 Grips. It is Shocking i.e Lightning damage and at the same time has Sudering 10/10.
One of the other collectors in Ascalon has another great item IMO. He is located in regeant valley north west of the lone charr mob. Last time I checked he had to offer a Truncheon req5 curses that has 10%recharge and 10%casting speed on ALL skills.

Noone has the 15% version? I'm paying 300K+ (that + means everything else I find after this post will be added, since I have about 300K in items/ectos/gold at this moment).

Well I was thinking and found out that the axe+offhand is better then wand+offhand/staff
and I wounder if i got a offhand with 10% improves and +30 and the axe is with zealous haft and +30, so technicly its better.
calculating for a perfect staff:
+10 energy 10%/10%, +30 head, 20% enchanting/30 wrapings=~=~
calculating for a perfect wand+offhand
10% improves, +30 + offhand: +12 energy, 10% improves +30
calculating for a perfect offhand+axe:
+12 energy 10% improves, +30 +axe: zealous haft, 10% improves, +30 grip

cus if it is then lets say the item will get nerfed and the prices of this fiery flame spitter can go up like hod swords, i tried switching haft from the fiery to zealous and its changeable, not like fiery dragonssword.

The Flame Spitter has -10 AL when attacking, so having a Zealous upgrade would be risky to run.

No. 55HP Monks in UW are casting nearly non-stop, you won't be attacking enough to make use of the Zealous haft, and can your replace the Fiery mod anyway? Haven't tested it myself, but it might be a permanent mod.
This item is very good for both IW Mesmers, most Monk, and of course, many other casting builds. Too bad I can't get my hands on a 15% one.

nice axe i use a 20/20 rockmolder on my ss/sv with a gorrels cane and its close to a 30/30. 1:3-1:4 are instant cast or recharge, which also owns as minion master. really pays off in uw 2 man runs. might be nice for a monk weapon. never see it though at the collector. any better a location of where it is so i can go play with one.lol

personally I don't think it will be nerfed. After all you don't see all that many who use it. Though I've gotten my hands on one, I think ppl want them for the name.

No, it means its been nerfered for everyone, or more accurately it probably only ever effected spells and now the discription has been changed to make it more accurate. But I had about 5 on various characters and those ALL now say recharge on SPELLS, so nobody in this game has one that says SKILLS.
And the more I think about it, the more it probably always was intended to say spells, because like some others have said, they never got a recharge on skills, only spells.

I didn't really have too many non-spell skills anyway no big deal, for 55 monks (and most spell casters) this is hardly a nerf at all.

It didn't get nerfed, it just got altered, just like it used to say: "Lengthens Bleeding Duration on Foes" as it now says: "Lengthens Bleeding Duration on Foes by 33%", it just made it more accurate just like axe already said.

Actually it was nerfed once before. it used to be 15% to all skills and was changed to 10%

some guy just tried to sell me a 10% one (the normal one) with 20% enchant for 60k so i told him where to stick it. He has probably wasted the 20% enchant grip if he is onyl planning to sell it on.

Since the item now specifically mentions "spells" it only affects the skills with the "spell" type. If you're really too lazy to hover over a skill in your bar and read the first word of the description (e.g. "Enchantment Spell"), simply enter your skills menu (K) and sort them by Type. "Spells", "Hex Spells" and "Enchantment Spells" will be the only skills affected by the Flame Spitter.

@ Amsterdam. Which "things" do you mean? The 15% one doesn't "go" for a certain price, since it's barely sold, ever. I've been looking for 2 months, and I found 5 people with this item now, and all of them change their mind on selling it after a while, or didn't sell it at all, and I doubt I'll ever get one, too bad.. The 10% goes for 3 Scorched Lodestones at the collector.
And the collector is still there, doesn't dissapear at any time. He's just a bit hidden. Try using the alt button, that'll make things easier.
