I can confirm this much. It seems the imps inside the cave will drop this. I tried those imps outside warcamp, nothing dropped.

i don't understand why they nerf the drop rates...if the IDS drops more often, then eventually everyone will get one and it's price will decrease until it becomes less and less of a commodity....therefore no longer being a weapon that's worth several millions. if they continue to decrease the drop rates, then the people who've gotten lucky will have a 1mil IDS on their hands....

but heck, i haven't taken AP Economics yet.

5 Solo runs and 3 two man runs, no ids drops.. cleared every imp in the cave and at the back where seer is. They are not dropping nemore

People with low self esteem often attempt to raise themselves in the eyes of other by denigrating those around them. It doesn't work very well, so they have to do it constantly, and the effect decreases with continuous use.

Man i am really sorry to say this, and dont mean to sound angry/spiteful. But MAN PEOPLE ARE IGNORANT!!! Stop asking the same damn question over and over!!! (I.e. Where is it? Does it drop anywhere else? is it a collectors item? ETC ETC ETC)

Did about three solo runs today and got three IDSs(two came from same run). Quickly sold two of them for 50k each, and the last one for 40k. Well, if people are willing to pay that much...

Besides, I've already got one customized to me and another two in my storage reserved for guildmates.

Is it confirmed that they stopped dropping? Earlier today I was getting atleast 1 per run, but I've done 4 runs and nothing. I'm wondering if the 2nd patch killed the IDS?

Meh, I have farmed about 10 - 15 of these bad boys today, solo.

They are still dropping, but I am not always doing Mineral Springs, I have farmed a couple directly outside Grotto, where there are tons of Imps.

My guildmate has found 2 from Grotto as well.

I wonder why people sell them for over 20k when they are common drops? Just take many runs and they'll drop for you. They are more like 5k-10k with the 15>50.

well considering the imps they fight in mineral springs are the same imps outside of ice caves and grotto it would make sense that they drop them as well, I don't think this item was intended to be particularly difficult to acquire.

Well, ive cleared the mineral springs cave solo 9 times now and not 1 has dropped so i have given up hope on it, and 1 dropped in 5 runs in a 6 man party. I tried the ones outside mahrans before minerals and never got any but its a possibility

Don't think so. I hit these, others have too. Actually it makes more sense it's only set up to drop in the special area that apparently is set up for that and takes a bit to get to.

I agree. I "practiced" on the imps outside of Grotto about 20 times before I started doing solo runs into Mineral, and not ONCE did they drop. And the number of imps is about the same as in Mineral.

I call a big BS on this until someone posts a screenshot with the gate for Marhan's in the background.

With the build above, the problem I am having is not being able to witstand the multiple maelstroms that 5-6 imps at once can cast on you. If I move to another target (slowly) I never kill anything. The imps do zero damage with ice spear, etc, but maelstrom is still 10 per hit.

How do folks get around this?

Maestrom only does 5 damage to me with elemental resistance up, 0 damage with "watch yourself", dolyak signet, and elemental resistance up.

Oh yeah, and I'm using full Ascalon armor by the way (zOMG teh gimp), so it shouldn't really matter if your using platemail, knight's, or gladiator's.

But that's against the ones outside marhaan's grotto... I can't do a solo run through mineral springs because I have problems sprinting to the cave like everyone else does... There's always an avicara wise that hits me with spell that makes me move slower... Any ideas how to get through this? Better yet... is there anyone who can post a vid of them soloing it?

well I still didn't find an IDS yet, I have done about 7-8 runs now with a 5-7 man PUG. One IDS did drop during these runs but it was reserved for another.

Even though I don't have my sword yet, it still has been a good experience looking for one and playing with some decent PUGs for a change!
