Do we do a carbon test on it to se if it is genuine.I like it better than the Fiery version and I have gone past the statue of Lyssa with LA Censor armor on at the time with al those Imps and Trolls not to mention the Avercra Tengu.I have capped all my skill up there unless I go the Necro one one my R/N.Why black out your skill bar andn why does everyone do this the OP didn't.

I went up there earlier today with a really excellent team (As stated at the time by one of the group members: "I must have died and gone to nuker heaven" No deaths or anything) I saw two icy dragon swords drop. I didn't get one but I got to see them in action and I'm going back for one. I'm going to deliberetly make a new warrior character to use it. Now granite citadel is full of people spamming: LFG for IDS. When I first saw it I thought Ian Duncan Smith had joined the game.

I've gone on about 10 runs now and finally picked one up on the last run.
We took the northern route to caves a few times and never had IDS drop from the Ice Imps along that path. All IDS's have dropped in caves for me (7 IDS/10 runs).
I've heard from someone else that they tried to farm the Ice Imps outside Grotto but no luck. I don't know about the group outside Ice Caves of Sorrow though.

People trying to sell them for all sorts of prices.
I saw one trying to sell for 500 ectos calling it "one of a kind" in Lion's Arch..
And in Granite they were asking 100k+ (upto 100k+50 ectos).
Now they've started selling for 10-20k (1-2 ectos).
I imagine if their drop rate isn't lowered they'll be 1k by Christmas.

the only bad thing is it when you get a lot of avicara just infront of the cave, you cant kill the wises and the wont attack the imps >.>

heh this is awesome...so i found mine early today before all this hype started..and sold it for 100k malinons shield and 3 ectos, i think i came out on top there.

May I also say this is a great coverup for the SoA axes on A-net's part?
All those people in LA spamming "I HATE ANET" or "WHERS MY SOA AXE" - Are now playing the game normally in Granite, spamming "LFG IDS Farm".
Great save on their part. They risked losing a few players if they didn't give them something new and shiny to look at.

Well..Now the sword is uterrly worthless, with most people only offering upwards of 20k.
How scary..a items confirmation occurs, its original price being incredibly over a 24 hour period becomes another item that simply isnt worth the effort.

I went farming Ice Imps outside of Beacon's Perch and Ice Caves of Sorrow with someone I know (rangers ftw :3 totally) and nothing dropped after several runs.

if they did they would of made it easier to get to
because theres not a lot of people that make groups to go to mineral and theres lots of groups that dont even make it that far
also when people make groups to go to mineral springs its usually to skill cap and thers no bosses in cave so everyone ignores it

if this was supposed to be a cover for the SoA they wouldnt of put it in a place where it might not even been found

Comparing the Firey and the Icey dragon swords, I think the Firey one has some animation glitches or something. There isn't nearly as much fire on the FDS as there is ice-mist on an IDS. When you drop the Firey Dragon Sword on the ground the fire appears like two feet away.
