I'm guessing it works the same way as the predicted tournament but the guilds or groups will be registered together.

It's mainly because if the req is lower than its obviously slightly better - even though this may not have an obvious effect on your character...

Well i think theyre 'worth it'...your not forced to do them, they are extra if your doing the missiosn anyway. They actually attacted me...
