unless your computer is virus infested or has a terribly fragmented and over full hard drive you should get a steady 30-40 fps on medium settings...

you may need to put it on your exceptions list in your AV program (also windows defender) - it should work, I installed a win 7 upgrade over vista...

try it with whatever compatible parts that you have access to, don't rma it until last resort, since you might not see it again for a month...

did you try defragging it? you should never let a hard drive get over 80-85% capacity btw... it won't run nearly as fast once it tops that %...

a P4 with 1G of RAM and a 8400 gs video card is kinda out dated, but should be adequate for GW, providing you are running the game on medium...

is it a lower FPS or a higher PING that you are experiencing? What are your system specs? ( need to know your Processor, Video Card, & Memory...

sounds weird ---- have you defragged the gw.dat file? Or better yet run an -image command line over night.

I do find that I occasionally do alt + tab out of GW accidentally, but it never sticks on top, I would try re-installing the drivers for the G11...

yeah, I would try to connect it directly to your PC like Quaker said; if that doesn't work you may be able to recover your data via a software...
