i got the EP45 DS3, its a pretty good mobo. i do suggest to get the newest bios version and update it right away.

quad cores aren't a good idea, nearly no games scale to it anyway.

try to find your avarage FPS, you can find in the the green/orange/red dot in the lower right corner of you're guild wars interface.

the ATI HD4850 whipes the floor with the 8600GT. i'd say you go for the 4850 or 4870 whatever you want.
