Yeah, that sounds about right. I just get tired of wasting time dying and running back to grab my loot (and of losing the few kills). Have to find...

When I get all the hydras together (and even when I was only taking on about 8 at a time), some just don't take damage until everything else...

Here's a straightforward PvE build that tends to work pretty well in groups for me. Straight mesmer (monk could give you a better res). Chaos...

Mesmer just doesn't bring much to the table for farming. It has Channeling, which seems to work pretty well with Monk spamming Divine Boon...
