If you want to be a spellcaster, I would definitely suggest Necromancer. Soul Reaping is probably the best caster primary attribute for energy...

I like the way IoP functions in PvE currently, no need to nerf that. Nerf away in PvP, though, if you think that it's a problem.

You can't prevent the music from changing to combat music.

I run GW windowed all the time, but have never experienced that.

The drops are so random that you can get them from tameable animals. If you do all of the Norn and Dwarf quests, you will at least get one.

I think the best thing would be to keep a Fiery and an Icy modded weapon, since less than half of all enemies have vulnerabilities/resistances.
