don't judge the game item wise by the first 10-12 lvls either...as you move on in missions you'll get better stuff with more varience......

one thing about drops that you haven't run across yet at lvl 10. sometime around 12 in missions I started getting items that had odd names and...

another option is to find highground that either they can't get to or it takes a long time for them to get to. then just rain death on them...
